Solvability in Gevrey classes of some linear functional equations

Abstract

In this paper, we associate to each positive number k a new class of endomorphisms of the sheaf of germs of holomorphic functions on [-1,1] and prove the solvability in the Gevrey class G_k([-1,1]) of some linear functional equations related to endomorphisms.

Potential Vector Fields in $\mathbb R^3$ and $α$-Meridional Mappings of the Second Kind $(α\in \mathbb R)$

This paper extends author's approach developed in a recent paper on analytic models of potential fields in inhomogeneous isotropic media. The properties of different analytic models in Cartesian and cylindrical coordinates in $\mathbb R^3$ are compared. The specifics of the Jacobian matrix $\mathbf{J}(\vec V)$ of potential meridional fields $\vec V$ in cylindrically layered media, where $ϕ( ρ) = ρ^{-α}$ $(α\in \mathbb R)$, lead to the concept of $α$-meridional mappings of the first and second kind. As a consequence, a new mathematical concept of $α$-meridional functions of the first and second kind arises. The topological and geometric properties of sets of degenerate points of the Jacobian matrix of various potential meridional fields $\vec V$ are demonstrated explicitly. When $α=1$, we deal with the special concept of radially holomorphic functions and the radially holomorphic potentials in $\mathbb R^3$. Remarkable properties of the radially holomorphic potentials represented by a linear superposition of the radially holomorphic exponential function $e^{\breveβ x}$ $(\breveβ \in \mathbb R)$ and function $e^{\breveβ x}$ with coefficient $I$ are demonstrated explicitly. New properties of the radially holomorphic potentials represented by certain radially holomorphic fourth-order polynomials with reduced-quaternion-valued coefficients are established.

A Non-integer Dimensional Space Approach to the Moisil-Teodorescu Operator

The vector calculus in non-integer dimensional space (NIDS), including the NIDS version of the standard vector differential operators (gradient, divergence, and curl) is well-known. A deformation of the quaternionic Moisil-Teodorescu operator, written in terms of NIDS derivatives is the main purpose of this article. Along similar lines, we consider the NIDS reformulation of the quaternionic Bitsadze operator and the Lamé-Navier operator of the three-dimensional elasticity theory. Also, a quaternionic reformulation of a NIDS time-harmonic Maxwell system is introduced, whose solutions are directly related with those of the perturbed NIDS Moisil-Teodorescu operator. Finally, a generalized approach to the study is addressed.

A Hadamard Formula for Equilibrium Envelopes under Parallel Deformation

Let $(X,ω_0)$ be a compact Kähler manifold of complex dimension $n$, and let $U\Subset X$ have $C^{3,1}$ uniformly strongly pseudoconvex boundary. Consider the signed parallel family $U_t=\{ρ 0$ and satisfies the Hadamard formula \[ e'(t)=\frac{1}{n+1}\int_{Σ_t}\left(-\partial_{ν_t}u_t\right)^2\,dσ_{ρ,t}^{\mathrm{tot}},\qquad |t|<τ. \] Here $dσ_{ρ,t}^{\mathrm{tot}}$ is the interior outward Anzellotti trace of \[ \frac{1}{V}\,d^cρ\wedge \sum_{p=0}^{n-1}(p+1)\,ω_{u_t}^{p}\wedgeω_0^{n-1-p},\qquad V=\int_Xω_0^n,\quad ω_{u_t}=ω_0+dd^c u_t. \] This measure is positive and uniformly comparable to the induced surface measure. The proof combines uniform $C^{1,1}$ estimates up to the boundary from the interior with $1/2$-Hölder stability of the normal derivatives under the normal-flow identifications. We identify the boundary part of the normalized Monge--Ampère measure with the negative outward trace of a divergence-measure flux current. The one-sided weak-* limits of the mixed Bedford--Taylor boundary measures yield the weighted total flux appearing in the variation formula.
