Analog quantum simulation of the spinor-four Dirac equation with an artificial gauge field
Abstract
A two-dimensional spatially and temporally modulated Wannier-Stark system of ultracold atoms in optical lattices is shown to mimic the behavior of a Dirac particle. Suitable additional modulations generate an artificial gauge field which simulates a magnetic field and imposes the use of the full spinor-four Dirac equation.
