Spectral Analysis and its applications for a class of scale-free network based on the weighted m-clique annex operation

Abstract

The spectrum of network is an important tool to study the function and dynamic properties of network, and graph operation and product is an effective mechanism to construct a specific local and global topological structure. In this study, a class of weighted $m-$clique annex operation $τ_m^r(\cdot)$ controlled by scale factor $m$ and weight factor $r$ is defined, through which an iterative weighted network model $G_t$ with small-world and scale-free properties is constructed. In particular, when the number of iterations $t$ tends to infinity, the network has transfinite fractal property. Then, through the iterative features of the network structure, the iterative relationship of the eigenvalues of the normalized Laplacian matrix corresponding to the network is studied. Accordingly, some applications of the spectrum of the network, including the Kenemy constant, Multiplicative Degree-Kirchhoff index and the number of weighted spanning trees, are further given. In addition, we also study the effect of the two factors controlling network operation on the structure and function of the iterative weighted network $G_t$, so that the network operation can better simulate the real network and have more application potential in the field of artificial network.

Conformal hyperbolic distances and holonomies of Anosov diffeomorphisms

We use conformal hyperbolic distances to analyze the stable/unstable holonomies of Anosov diffeomorphisms. The main result is that the lengths of the stable/unstable curves in a conformal hyperbolic distance are preserved by the stable/unstable holonomies, whenever they are well-defined. In particular, the existence of a conformal hyperbolic distance with well-defined length of stable/unstable curves ensures that the holonomies are globally defined. We exhibit a conformal hyperbolic distance with well-defined length of stable/unstable curves for each real Anosov diffeomorphism, which are Anosov diffeomorphisms with a one-dimensional finest dominated splitting where contraction/expansion in each space is constant along orbits.

On ball expanding maps

We study the dynamical properties of ball expanding maps, a class of continuous self-maps defined on compact metric spaces. For a ball expanding map, we show that: (1) the set of periodic points is dense in the chain recurrent set; (2) if the topological entropy of the map is zero, then the chain recurrent set is finite; (3) the map has only finitely many chain components; (4) if the space is perfect, then the topological entropy of the map is positive; and (5) if the space is connected, then the map is locally eventually onto and hence mixing. Several examples are also provided.
