Supersymmetric semi--infinite cohomology and $N = 2$ superconformal structures

Abstract

We study supersymmetric semi-infinite cohomology and its $N = 2$ superconformal structure via the BRST reduction of an $N = {\frac{3}{2}}$ superconformal structure on the super-affine vertex algebra associated to a super Manin pair arising from the Kazama--Suzuki $N = 2$ condition. Moreover, we realize super coset models in terms of relative supersymmetric semi-infinite cohomology.

Multiple SLEs for $κ\in (0,8)$: Coulomb gas integrals and pure partition functions

In this article, we give an explicit relationship of SLE partition functions with Coulomb gas formalism of conformal field theory. We first construct a family of SLE$(κ)$ partition functions as Coulomb gas integrals and derive their various properties. In accordance with an interpretation as probabilistic correlations in loop $O(n)$ models, they are always positive when $κ\in (8/3,8)$, while they may have zeroes for $κ\le 8/3$. They also admit a Frobenius series expansion that matches with the algebraic content from CFT. Moreover, we check that at the first level of fusion, they have logarithmic asymptotic behavior when $κ= 8/3$ and $κ= 8$, in accordance with logarithmic minimal models $M(2,1)$ and $M(2,3)$, respectively. Second, we construct $\SLE_κ$ pure partition functions and show that they are real-analytic in $κ\in (0,8)$ and decay to zero as a polynomial of $(8-κ)$ as $κ\to 8$. We explicitly relate the Coulomb gas integrals and pure partition functions together in terms of the meander matrix. As a by-product, our results yield a construction of global non-simple multiple chordal SLE$(κ)$ measures ($κ\in (4,8)$) uniquely determined by their re-sampling property.

Crystallographic Torus Bundles: Obstructions, Elastic Sectors, and Global Acoustic Modes

We formulate the global translational order parameter of a crystal with a fixed finite orientational background as a section of an affine torus bundle induced by the crystallographic extension $1\toΠ\toΓ\to P\to1$. For a principal $P$-bundle $Q$, the configuration bundle is $Y_Π=Q\times_P T_Π$. We identify two distinct global conditions associated with the same extension class: smooth configurations exist precisely when the pulled-back class $f_Q^*[c]\in H^2(X;Π_Q)$ vanishes, whereas parallel configurations exist precisely when the restriction of $[c]$ to the monodromy subgroup vanishes. Thus a global translational configuration may exist even when a parallel reference configuration is topologically obstructed. For phase-independent quadratic first-order theories, the affine torsor structure yields an exact global fluctuation identity and a background-independent Hessian about every stationary configuration, without requiring a parallel reference state. We realize the distinction explicitly on a compact flat three-manifold with half-turn holonomy and a nonsymmorphic $C_2$-extension. Although no parallel configuration exists, smooth strained equilibria do. Their homotopy sectors form a torsor for $\mathbb Z^5\oplus(\mathbb Z/2\mathbb Z)^2$. We determine the minimizers and minimum energy in every sector, derive a strictly positive lower energy bound over all configurations of the quadratic model, and compute the complete isotropic elastic spectrum, including the kernel and first positive eigenvalue. For fixed macroscopic quotient, flat linear bundle, and constitutive coefficients, changing the microscopic affine extension can therefore change the global configuration space and sector energies while leaving the quadratic fluctuation operator unchanged.

A Self-Generated Local Structural Prior for Resolving Target Merging in Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT)

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an ill-posed inverse imaging technique with limited and spatially nonuniform resolution. Conductivity targets located in regions with degraded spatial sensitivity may be reconstructed as a single connected region, resulting in the loss of spatial separability between neighboring structures. In this work, we propose a self-generated local structural prior for suppressing target merging in EIT reconstruction. First, an initial conductivity image is obtained from the measured boundary data using an existing EIT reconstruction method. This reconstruction is subsequently used as a reference image to construct a Gaussian similarity matrix according to the intensity similarity between image pixels. The adaptively chosen eigenvector of the covariance matrix is then employed to extract the principal structural information of the reference image. A localized structural mask is constructed and incorporated into a subsequent EIT reconstruction to preserve the spatial separability of neighboring targets. Numerical and water tank experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively separates neighboring conductivity targets that are merged by conventional EIT reconstruction methods.
