On the complexification of $ q $-deformations of compact semisimple Lie groups

Abstract

For the quantised algebra of functions on a simply connected compact semisimple Lie group, we study the relationship between the primitive spectrum, topologically irreducible representations by bounded operators on Hilbert spaces, and quantum holomorphic evaluations induced via the Drinfeld double. In terms of the Joseph stratification of the primitive spectrum, we prove a sharp dichotomy: primitive ideals in homogeneous strata always arise as kernels of topologically irreducible representations by bounded operators on a Hilbert space, whereas those in inhomogeneous strata do not admit any such realisations. We further show that, unlike in the classical situation, quantum holomorphic evaluations typically fail to be topologically irreducible, and that their kernels do not determine the primitive spectrum. Finally, we describe the Iwasawa decomposition of the Drinfeld double in terms of polynomial functions, extending work by Podleś-Woronowicz for the quantum Lorentz group to all complex semisimple quantum groups, and clarifying the structure of quantum holomorphic evaluations.

Coactions of weak multiplier Hopf algebras

In this article, we investigate the notion of a coaction for a weak multiplier Hopf algebra. We show that there is a duality for actions and coactions of weak algebraic quantum groups. Then we obtain the well known Blattner-Montgomery duality theorem for weak algebraic quantum groups in the framework of dual pairs. We form a Morita context when the weak multiplier Hopf algebra admits a two-sided faithful integral and show that the coaction is Galois if and only if the map in the Morita context is surjective. As an application, we obtain the result that a grading by any groupoid $G$ can be considered as a $\mathrm{C}G$-comodule algebra. We also construct a Morita context connecting the smash product $A\# \mathrm{C}(G)$ and the coinvariant subalgebra $A^{\mathrm{C}(G)}$. Finally we construct an isomorphism between $(R\# \mathrm{C}(G))\# \mathrm{C}G$ and $R\otimes (\mathrm{C}(G)\# \mathrm{C}G)$ when $R$ is graded by $G$.

Approximation of graded bialgebras

Motivated by an equivalence of categories established by Kapranov and Schechtman, we introduce, for each non-negative integer d, the category of connected bialgebras modulo d+1. We show that these categories fit into an inverse system of categories whose inverse limit category is equivalent to the category of connected bialgebras. In addition, we extend the notion of approximation of connected bialgebras to those that are not necessarily generated in degree 1 and show that, for connected bialgebras in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a Hopf algebra, approximation is compatible with cocycle twisting.
