Twinor Theory: Field Equations from $(A)dS_4^{\mathbb C}$ Spin-Tractors: A Twin to Twistor Theory Modelled on $(A)dS_4^{\mathbb C}$

Abstract

Twinor theory is formulated as a spacetime-based counterpart to twistor theory using holomorphic reductive Cartan geometry modelled on complexified $(A)dS_4$. The fundamental spin-tractor bundle defines Dirac twinors, its symmetric powers define ladder twinors, and their extremal Lorentz components define chiral twinors. The general \textit{twinor field equation} is $D\mathbf Y=\mathbf J$. Its adjacent contractions and mixed divergence are constrained by source relations; no additional equation is imposed on its completely symmetric projection. On a flat torsion-free Lorentzian background, the adjacent equations with the mass-normalization source and vanishing additional contracted sources, together with vanishing mixed divergence, reproduce the massive \textit{Dirac--Fierz--Pauli system}; the massless chiral realization gives the zero-rest-mass equations. Within the fixed mass normalization, the reality condition yielding a positive real mass squared is the \textit{anti-de Sitter reality condition} on the particle scale, independently of the cosmological scale and background curvature. The mass-coupling phase is therefore present in the classical connection before quantization. Nonlinear gravity is formulated through the full adjoint curvature, with energy--momentum and spin currents specifying Einstein--Cartan dynamics without requiring an action. The adjoint Bianchi identity constrains source compatibility, while a BGG-type sequence organizes torsion-free infinitesimal deformations. Matter interactions enter through the coupled connection and contracted source relations, with curvature compatibility recorded by $D\mathbf J=\mathcal F_D\mathbf Y$. Both chiralities are retained, and the additional consistency requirements for interacting higher-spin fields are distinguished from the underlying bundle construction.

Modeling of point charges with distributions, regularizations, and generalized functions

We apply regularization and generalized function techniques to the classical electromagnetic field of a point-charge, following a strategy by the physicist A. Gsponer 2007-2009, thereby extending it and adding rigor.. We show how the Liénard-Wiechert potential emerges essentially from the basic geometry of Minkowski space, namely by action of the d'Alembertian on a generating vector field, which is defined via a spacetime interval between an observer and the point-charge at retarded proper time. Furthermore, for a charged particle in its rest frame, we discuss generalized functions aspects of the electric monopole, magnetic dipole, electron singularity, and self-energy, where infinitely large generalized numbers occur whose concrete representations can be applied in field renormalization.

Variational derivation of the homogeneous Boltzmann equation

We introduce a variational formulation of the homogeneous Boltzmann equation, with hard-sphere cross section, which selects the unique energy conserving solution. We prove that this solution arises from the microscopic dynamics, namely Kac's walk, and we establish the propagation in time of entropic chaoticity, under the minimal assumption that the initial distribution is entropically chaotic.

Noether symmetries and conservation laws of a class of time-dependent multidimensional nonlinear wave equations

Conservation laws of a class of time-dependent damped nonlinear multidimensional wave equations are derived by Noether's theorem. For arbitrary nonzero damping coefficient and nonlinear interaction term, its infinitesimal variational symmetries span a Euclidean algebra $\euclid(n)$ of space translations and rotations. They produce conservation of linear and angular momentums. For some specific forms of these two terms symmetry algebra is enlarged to a subalgebra of the conformal algebra $\conf(1,n)$ and in this case more interesting conservation laws are found.
