Relations between the correlators of the topological sigma-model coupled to gravity

Abstract

We prove a new recursive relation between the correlators $< τ_{d_1}γ_1...τ_{d_n}γ_n >_{g,β}$, which together with known relations allows one to express all of them through the full system of Gromov-Witten invariants in the sense of Kontsevich-Manin and the intersection indices of tautological classes on $\bar{M}_{g,n}$, effectively calculable in view of earlier results due to Mumford, Kontsevich, Getzler, and Faber. This relation shows that a linear change of coordinates of the big phase space transforms the potential with gravitational descendants to another function defined completely in terms of the Gromov-Witten correspondence and the intersection theory on $V^n\times\bar{M}_{g,n}$. We then extend the formalism of gravitational descendants from quantum cohomology to more general Frobenius manifolds and Cohomological Field Theories.

Equivalences of derived categories and K3 surfaces

We consider derived categories of coherent sheaves on smooth projective varieties. We prove that any equivalence between them can be represented by an object on the product. Using this, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for equivalence of derived categories of two K3 surfaces.

The Chow Ring of the Moduli Space of Abelian Threefolds

In this paper we determine the structure of the Chow ring of the Delaunay-Voronoi compactification $\tilde{\cal A}_3$ of the moduli space of principally polarized abelian threefolds. This compactification was introduced by Namikawa and studied by Tsushima. We use equivariant classes on level coverings of $\tilde{\cal A}_3$. We also compare this ring with the Chow ring of the moduli space of stable genus 3 curves as determined by Faber.

Semiinfinite Flags. II. Local and Global Intersection Cohomology of Quasimaps' Spaces

For a simple algebraic group $G$ we study the space $Q$ of Quasimaps from the projective line $C$ to the flag variety of $G$. We prove that the global Intersection Cohomology of $Q$ carries a natural pure Tate Hodge structure, and compute its generating function. We define an action of the Langlands dual Lie algebra $g^L$ on this cohomology. We present a new geometric construction of the universal enveloping algebra $U(n^L_+)$ of the nilpotent subalgebra of $g^L$. It is realized in the Ext-groups of certain perverse sheaves on Quasimaps' spaces, and it is equipped with a canonical basis numbered by the irreducible components of certain algebraic cycles, isomorphic to the intersections of semiinfinite orbits in the affine Grassmannian of $G$. We compute the stalks of the IC-sheaves on the Schubert strata closures in $Q$. They carry a natural pure Tate Hodge structure, and their generating functions are given by the generic affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. In the Appendix we prove that Kontsevich's space of stable maps provides a natural resolution of $Q$.
