Blow-up and blow-up-time estimates for a singular pseudo-parabolic equation with a space-time variable exponent

Let $d \in \{3,4,5,\ldots\}$ and $Ω\subset \Ri^d$ be open bounded with Lipschitz boundary. Let $Q = Ω\times (0,\infty)$ and $p \in C(\overline{Q})$ be such that \[ 2 < p^- \le p(\cdot) \le p^+ < 2^* := \frac{2d}{d-2}, \] where $ p^- := \essinf_{(x,t) \in Q} p(x,t) $ and $ p^+ := \esssup_{(x,t) \in Q} p(x,t). $ Consider the reaction-diffusion parabolic problem \[ (P) \quad \left\{\begin{array}{ll} \displaystyle\frac{u_t}{|x|^2} - Δu = k(t) \, |u|^{p(x,t)-2}u & (x,t) \in Ω\times (0,T), u(x,t) = 0, & (x,t) \in \partial Ω\times (0,T), \smallskip u(x,0) = u_0(x), & x \in Ω, \end{array}\right. \] where $T > 0$ and $0 \ne u_0 \in W^{1,2}_0(Ω)$. We investigate the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution to $(P)$. The upper and lower bounds on the blow-up time of the weak solution are also considered.

Non-polyconvex $Q$-integrands with lower semicontinuous energies

For any fixed $Q \in \mathbb N$, we construct a positive measure on the space of positively oriented $2$-vectors in $\mathbb R^4$, whose barycenter is a simple $2$-vector, yet which cannot be approximated by weighted Gaussian images of Lipschitz $Q$-graphs. The construction extends to positively oriented $m$-vectors in $\mathbb R^n$ whenever $n- 2 \ge m \ge 2$. This geometric obstruction implies that the approximation result established in [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal., 2025] is sharp: all $Q \in \mathbb N$ are indeed necessary to ensure the density of weighted Gaussian images of Lipschitz multigraphs in the space of positive measures with simple barycenter. As an application, we prove that for every $Q \ge 1$ and $ p \ge 2$ there exists a non-polyconvex $Q$-integrand whose associated energy is weakly lower semicontinuous in $W^{1,p}$. This also provides new insight into the question posed in [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal., 2025, Remark 1.14].

Well-posedness and regularity for the Fractional Rough Burgers equation in Sobolev spaces with an application

In this paper, we study the well-posedness of Fractional Rough Burgers equation driven by space-time white noise in $H^s$ space. For the higher dissipation $γ\in(\frac{4}{3},2]$, we establish local well-posedness. Global well-posedness is further obtained when $γ$ is restricted to the interval $(\frac{8}{5}, 2]$. For the lower dissipation $γ\in(\frac{5}{4},\frac{4}{3}]$, we establish the para-controlled solution in $\mathcal C^{s}\cap H^s$.
