Enhancing switching in bistable nanomechanical oscillators by geometrical resonance
Abstract
It is shown how the cooperative effect of the geometrical resonance and stochastic resonance mechanisms explains recent results on bistable nanomechanical silicon oscillators (R. L. Badzey and P. Mohanty, Nature, vol. 437, 995-998 (2005)).
