Biological, Family and Cultural Predictors of Personality Structure analysis based on personality prediction models constructed by open data source

Objective: This study takes further step on understanding personality structure in order to cope with the mental health during the COVID-19 global pandemic situation. Methods: Categorized the independent variables into biological, family and cultural predictors according to the datasets of the Big-5 personality survey online. And established multiple regression prediction models and exhaustive CHAID decision tree model of each personality trait. Results: Females are different from males in personality. The personality changes when growing. One-handed dominants are less agreeable and open than those who use both hands. Different sexual orientation does have variety personality. Native language used and education attainment is significantly related to personality accordingly. Marriage did help shaping personality to be more extroverted, less neurotic or agreeable and more conscientious and open. People raised in urban are more agreeable and open. Neurotic and open people often come from small families. person participated in voting are more extroverted, conscientious and open but less neurotic and agreeable. Different religions and races have different characteristics in each dimension of personality and there is no clear pattern have been found. Conclusion: Personality traits are indeed affected by multiple confounding factors. but the exploration on multiple cultures predictors still needed more details

Optimal Dispatch in Emergency Service System via Reinforcement Learning

In the United States, medical responses by fire departments over the last four decades increased by 367%. This had made it critical to decision makers in emergency response departments that existing resources are efficiently used. In this paper, we model the ambulance dispatch problem as an average-cost Markov decision process and present a policy iteration approach to find an optimal dispatch policy. We then propose an alternative formulation using post-decision states that is shown to be mathematically equivalent to the original model, but with a much smaller state space. We present a temporal difference learning approach to the dispatch problem based on the post-decision states. In our numerical experiments, we show that our obtained temporal-difference policy outperforms the benchmark myopic policy. Our findings suggest that emergency response departments can improve their performance with minimal to no cost.

Internal relation between Personality trait Statistical outcomes among Junior College Divers and their performance

Objective: Personality trait can predict divers' behavioral performance underwater. However, we know very little about the innate personality of the junior college diving students. To gain a better insight of personality characteristics of them, we carried out a personality survey base on Eysenck questionnaire. Method: 93 college diving students participated in this survey and totally 74 valid questionnaires recovered. Four dimensions were rating by the self-report scale of 85 questions. Descriptive analysis, T test and variance analyses are processing by SPSS20.0. Results: Statistical results indicated that college divers are more extraverted (t=10.838, p=0.000), more neurotic (t=2.747, p=0.008) and unlikely psychoticism (t=-1.332, p=0.187). Differences were found in Gender only in Liar scale score (F=7.025, p=0.010). Conclusion: These outcomes suggested that parts of the character of the college divers' are suitable for diving activities. And emotional control training is needed in the curriculum setting for them in the process of safe diving.
