A Nonconforming Finite Element Method for Elliptic Interface Problems on Locally Anisotropic Meshes

We propose a new nonconforming \(P_1\) finite element method for elliptic interface problems. The method is constructed on a locally anisotropic mixed mesh, which is generated by fitting the interface through a simple connection of intersection points on an interface-unfitted background mesh, as introduced in \cite{Hu2021optimal}. We first establish interpolation error estimates on quadrilateral elements satisfying the regular decomposition property (RDP). Building on this, the main contribution of this work is a novel consistency error analysis for nonconforming elements, which removes the quasi-regularity assumption commonly required in existing approaches. Numerical results confirm the theoretical convergence rates and demonstrate the robustness and accuracy of the proposed method.

Homogeneous fractional integral operators on weighted Lebesgue, Morrey and Campanato spaces

Let $0<α<n$ and $T_{Ω,α}$ be the homogeneous fractional integral operator which is defined by \begin{equation*} T_{Ω,α}f(x):=\int_{\mathbb R^n}\frac{Ω(x-y)}{|x-y|^{n-α}}f(y)\,dy, \end{equation*} where $Ω$ is homogeneous of degree zero in $\mathbb R^n$ for $n\geq2$, and is integrable on the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^{n-1}$. In this paper we study boundedness properties of the homogeneous fractional integral operator $T_{Ω,α}$ acting on weighted Lebesgue and Morrey spaces. Under certain Dini-type smoothness condition on $Ω$, we prove that $T_{Ω,α}$ is bounded from $L^{p}(ω^p)$ to $\mathcal{C}^{γ,\ell}_ω$(a class of Campanato spaces) for appropriate indices, when $n/α<p<\infty$. Moreover, we prove that if $Ω$ satisfies certain Dini-type smoothness condition on $\mathbb{S}^{n-1}$, then $T_{Ω,α}$ is bounded from $\mathcal{M}^{p,κ}(ω^p,ω^q)$ to $\mathcal{C}^{γ,\ell}(ω^q)$(weighted Campanato spaces) for appropriate indices, when $p/q<κ<1$.

LiteGS: A High-performance Framework to Train 3DGS in Subminutes via System and Algorithm Codesign

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has emerged as promising alternative in 3D representation. However, it still suffers from high training cost. This paper introduces LiteGS, a high performance framework that systematically optimizes the 3DGS training pipeline from multiple aspects. At the low-level computation layer, we design a ``warp-based raster'' associated with two hardware-aware optimizations to significantly reduce gradient reduction overhead. At the mid-level data management layer, we introduce dynamic spatial sorting based on Morton coding to enable a performant ``Cluster-Cull-Compact'' pipeline and improve data locality, therefore reducing cache misses. At the top-level algorithm layer, we establish a new robust densification criterion based on the variance of the opacity gradient, paired with a more stable opacity control mechanism, to achieve more precise parameter growth. Experimental results demonstrate that LiteGS accelerates the original 3DGS training by up to 13.4x with comparable or superior quality and surpasses the current SOTA in lightweight models by up to 1.4x speedup. For high-quality reconstruction tasks, LiteGS sets a new accuracy record and decreases the training time by an order of magnitude.

DanceText: A Training-Free Layered Framework for Controllable Multilingual Text Transformation in Images

We present DanceText, a training-free framework for multilingual text editing in images, designed to support complex geometric transformations and achieve seamless foreground-background integration. While diffusion-based generative models have shown promise in text-guided image synthesis, they often lack controllability and fail to preserve layout consistency under non-trivial manipulations such as rotation, translation, scaling, and warping. To address these limitations, DanceText introduces a layered editing strategy that separates text from the background, allowing geometric transformations to be performed in a modular and controllable manner. A depth-aware module is further proposed to align appearance and perspective between the transformed text and the reconstructed background, enhancing photorealism and spatial consistency. Importantly, DanceText adopts a fully training-free design by integrating pretrained modules, allowing flexible deployment without task-specific fine-tuning. Extensive experiments on the AnyWord-3M benchmark demonstrate that our method achieves superior performance in visual quality, especially under large-scale and complex transformation scenarios. Code is avaible at https://github.com/YuZhenyuLindy/DanceText.git.

ABG-NAS: Adaptive Bayesian Genetic Neural Architecture Search for Graph Representation Learning

Effective and efficient graph representation learning is essential for enabling critical downstream tasks, such as node classification, link prediction, and subgraph search. However, existing graph neural network (GNN) architectures often struggle to adapt to diverse and complex graph structures, limiting their ability to produce structure-aware and task-discriminative representations. To address this challenge, we propose ABG-NAS, a novel framework for automated graph neural network architecture search tailored for efficient graph representation learning. ABG-NAS encompasses three key components: a Comprehensive Architecture Search Space (CASS), an Adaptive Genetic Optimization Strategy (AGOS), and a Bayesian-Guided Tuning Module (BGTM). CASS systematically explores diverse propagation (P) and transformation (T) operations, enabling the discovery of GNN architectures capable of capturing intricate graph characteristics. AGOS dynamically balances exploration and exploitation, ensuring search efficiency and preserving solution diversity. BGTM further optimizes hyperparameters periodically, enhancing the scalability and robustness of the resulting architectures. Empirical evaluations on benchmark datasets (Cora, PubMed, Citeseer, and CoraFull) demonstrate that ABG-NAS consistently outperforms both manually designed GNNs and state-of-the-art neural architecture search (NAS) methods. These results highlight the potential of ABG-NAS to advance graph representation learning by providing scalable and adaptive solutions for diverse graph structures. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/sserranw/ABG-NAS.

An Advanced Convolutional Neural Network for Bearing Fault Diagnosis under Limited Data

In the area of bearing fault diagnosis, deep learning (DL) methods have been widely used recently. However, due to the high cost or privacy concerns, high-quality labeled data are scarce in real world scenarios. While few-shot learning has shown promise in addressing data scarcity, existing methods still face significant limitations in this domain. Traditional data augmentation techniques often suffer from mode collapse and generate low-quality samples that fail to capture the diversity of bearing fault patterns. Moreover, conventional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with local receptive fields makes them inadequate for extracting global features from complex vibration signals. Additionally, existing methods fail to model the intricate relationships between limited training samples. To solve these problems, we propose an advanced data augmentation and contrastive fourier convolution framework (DAC-FCF) for bearing fault diagnosis under limited data. Firstly, a novel conditional consistent latent representation and reconstruction generative adversarial network (CCLR-GAN) is proposed to generate more diverse data. Secondly, a contrastive learning based joint optimization mechanism is utilized to better model the relations between the available training data. Finally, we propose a 1D fourier convolution neural network (1D-FCNN) to achieve a global-aware of the input data. Experiments demonstrate that DAC-FCF achieves significant improvements, outperforming baselines by up to 32\% on case western reserve university (CWRU) dataset and 10\% on a self-collected test bench. Extensive ablation experiments prove the effectiveness of the proposed components. Thus, the proposed DAC-FCF offers a promising solution for bearing fault diagnosis under limited data.

Projector Method for Nonlinear Light-Matter Interactions and Quantum Geometry

We develop a systematic projector-based Feynman diagram framework that intrinsically encodes quantum geometry for nonlinear optical responses. By explicitly incorporating geometric quantities such as the quantum geometric tensor, quantum hermitian connection, and triple phase product, the method ensures component-wise gauge invariance and seamlessly extends to multiband systems, enabling accurate calculations of quantum geometry and nonlinear optical responses. We derive the projector formalism in Wannier function basis and implement the \textit{ab initio} calculations of shift current in GeS, demonstrating excellent agreement with the sum rule and Wilson loop approaches. This work extends projector-based representations within the Wannier functions basis, offering an efficient and reliable tool for investigating nonlinear light-matter interactions and quantum geometry in realistic materials.

Microscopic Theory of Light-Induced Coherent Phonons Mediated by Quantum Geometry

Light-induced coherent phonons provide a powerful platform for ultrafast control of material properties. However, the microscopic theory and quantum geometric nature of this phenomenon remain underexplored. Here, we develop a fully quantum-mechanical framework based on Feynman diagrams to systematically describe the generation of coherent phonons by light. We identify a dominant second-order, double-resonant process in noncentrosymmetric semiconductors that efficiently couples light to both electronic and phononic excitations. Crucially, we uncover the quantum geometric origin, encoded in the electron-phonon coupling (EPC) shift vector and the EPC quantum geometric tensor. Applying our theory to ferroelectric BaTiO$_3$ and SnSe, we demonstrate the potential for light-induced modulation of ferroelectric polarization driven by coherent phonons. This work provides fundamental insights for designing efficient optical control strategies for both coherent phonons and ferroelectric polarization.

StableGS: A Floater-Free Framework for 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) reconstructions are plagued by stubborn ``floater" artifacts that degrade their geometric and visual fidelity. We are the first to reveal the root cause: a fundamental conflict in the 3DGS optimization process where the opacity gradients of floaters vanish when their blended color reaches a pseudo-equilibrium of canceling errors against the background, trapping them in a spurious local minimum. To resolve this, we propose StableGS, a novel framework that decouples geometric regularization from final appearance rendering. Its core is a Dual Opacity architecture that creates two separate rendering paths: a ``Geometric Regularization Path" to bear strong depth-based constraints for structural correctness, and an ``Appearance Refinement Path" to generate high-fidelity details upon this stable foundation. We complement this with a synergistic set of geometric constraints: a self-supervised depth consistency loss and an external geometric prior enabled by our efficient global scale optimization algorithm. Experiments on multiple benchmarks show StableGS not only eliminates floaters but also resolves the common blur-artifact trade-off, achieving state-of-the-art geometric accuracy and visual quality.

URPO: A Unified Reward & Policy Optimization Framework for Large Language Models

Large-scale alignment pipelines typically pair a policy model with a separately trained reward model whose parameters remain frozen during reinforcement learning (RL). This separation creates a complex, resource-intensive pipeline and suffers from a performance ceiling due to a static reward signal. We propose a novel framework, Unified Reward & Policy Optimization (URPO), that unifies instruction-following ("player") and reward modeling ("referee") within a single model and a single training phase. Our method recasts all alignment data-including preference pairs, verifiable reasoning, and open-ended instructions-into a unified generative format optimized by a single Group-Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) loop. This enables the model to learn from ground-truth preferences and verifiable logic while simultaneously generating its own rewards for open-ended tasks. Experiments on the Qwen2.5-7B model demonstrate URPO's superiority. Our unified model significantly outperforms a strong baseline using a separate generative reward model, boosting the instruction-following score on AlpacaEval from 42.24 to 44.84 and the composite reasoning average from 32.66 to 35.66. Furthermore, URPO cultivates a superior internal evaluator as a byproduct of training, achieving a RewardBench score of 85.15 and surpassing the dedicated reward model it replaces (83.55). By eliminating the need for a separate reward model and fostering a co-evolutionary dynamic between generation and evaluation, URPO presents a simpler, more efficient, and more effective path towards robustly aligned language models.

From Physics to Foundation Models: A Review of AI-Driven Quantitative Remote Sensing Inversion

Quantitative remote sensing inversion aims to estimate continuous surface variables-such as biomass, vegetation indices, and evapotranspiration-from satellite observations, supporting applications in ecosystem monitoring, carbon accounting, and land management. With the evolution of remote sensing systems and artificial intelligence, traditional physics-based paradigms are giving way to data-driven and foundation model (FM)-based approaches. This paper systematically reviews the methodological evolution of inversion techniques, from physical models (e.g., PROSPECT, SCOPE, DART) to machine learning methods (e.g., deep learning, multimodal fusion), and further to foundation models (e.g., SatMAE, GFM, mmEarth). We compare the modeling assumptions, application scenarios, and limitations of each paradigm, with emphasis on recent FM advances in self-supervised pretraining, multi-modal integration, and cross-task adaptation. We also highlight persistent challenges in physical interpretability, domain generalization, limited supervision, and uncertainty quantification. Finally, we envision the development of next-generation foundation models for remote sensing inversion, emphasizing unified modeling capacity, cross-domain generalization, and physical interpretability.

A $\mathcal{CR}$-rotated $Q_1$ nonconforming finite element method for Stokes interface problems on local anisotropic fitted mixed meshes

We propose a new nonconforming finite element method for solving Stokes interface problems. The method is constructed on local anisotropic mixed meshes, which are generated by fitting the interface through simple connection of intersection points on an interface-unfitted background mesh, as introduced in \cite{Hu2021optimal}. For triangular elements, we employ the standard $\mathcal{CR}$ element; for quadrilateral elements, a new rotated $Q_1$-type element is used. We prove that this rotated $Q_1$ element remains unisolvent and stable even on degenerate quadrilateral elements. Based on these properties, we further show that the space pair of $\mathcal{CR}$-rotated $Q_1$ elements (for velocity) and piecewise $P_0$ spaces (for pressure) satisfies the inf-sup condition without requiring any stabilization terms. As established in our previous work \cite{Wang2025nonconforming}, the consistency error achieves the optimal convergence order without the need for penalty terms to control it. Finally, several numerical examples are provided to verify our theoretical results.

Round Attention: A Novel Round-Level Attention Mechanism to Accelerate LLM Inference

The increasing context window size in large language models (LLMs) has improved their ability to handle complex, long-text tasks. However, as the conversation rounds continue, it is required to store a large amount of KV cache in GPU memory, which significantly affects the efficiency and even availability of the model serving systems. This paper analyzes dialogue data from real users on the granularity of round and discovers that the LLM inference manifests a watershed layer, after which the distribution of round-level attention shows notable similarity. Based on this, we propose Round Attention - a novel round-level attention mechanism that selectively processes the KV cache of top-k relevant rounds, where k is dynamically determined through the attention matrix in the watershed layer. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that our method reduces memory usage by 54\% to 82\%, while experimental results confirm that loading sparse critical-round KV cache maintains answer accuracy without performance degradation.

Optical Manifestations of Quantum Geometry in Electron-Phonon Coupling

Quantum geometry is crucial for understanding intricate condensed matter systems, governing transport phenomena and optical responses. However, traditional studies predominantly consider a static crystal lattice, focusing exclusively on the pure-electronic quantum geometry of the Hilbert space parameterized by electronic wave vectors, thereby overlooking the dynamic effects arising from phonons and their coupling with electrons. In this work, we reveal the intrinsic quantum geometry of the electron-phonon coupling (EPC), which resides in the hybrid Hilbert space parameterized by both the electronic wave vectors and phonon displacements. The EPC quantum metric, EPC Berry curvature and EPC shift vector, as central elements, quantify the EPC-induced velocity, polarization, and anomalous charge-center shift, respectively. We further connect this geometry to phonon-mediated optical responses, particularly in-gap resonances, enabling experimental detection and characterization of EPC quantum geometry.

Boundedness of multilinear Littlewood--Paley operators with convolution type kernels on products of BMO spaces

In this paper, the authors establish the existence and boundedness of multilinear Littlewood--Paley operators on products of BMO spaces, including the multilinear $g$-function, multilinear Lusin's area integral and multilinear $g^{\ast}_λ$-function. The authors prove that if the above multilinear operators are finite for a single point, then they are finite almost everywhere. Moreover, it is shown that these multilinear operators are bounded from $\mathrm{BMO}(\mathbb R^n)\times\cdots\times \mathrm{BMO}(\mathbb R^n)$ into $\mathrm{BLO}(\mathbb R^n)$ (the space of functions with bounded lower oscillation), which is a proper subspace of $\mathrm{BMO}(\mathbb R^n)$ (the space of functions with bounded mean oscillation). The corresponding estimates for multilinear Littlewood--Paley operators with non-convolution type kernels are also discussed.

Estimates for generalized fractional integrals associated with operators on Morrey--Campanato spaces

Let $\mathcal{L}$ be the infinitesimal generator of an analytic semigroup $\big\{e^{-t\mathcal L}\big\}_{t>0}$ satisfying the Gaussian upper bounds. For given $0<α<n$, let $\mathcal L^{-α/2}$ be the generalized fractional integral associated with $\mathcal{L}$, which is defined as \begin{equation*} \mathcal L^{-α/2}(f)(x):=\frac{1}{Γ(α/2)}\int_0^{+\infty} e^{-t\mathcal L}(f)(x)t^{α/2-1}dt, \end{equation*} where $Γ(\cdot)$ is the usual gamma function. For a locally integrable function $b(x)$ defined on $\mathbb R^n$, the related commutator operator $\big[b,\mathcal L^{-α/2}\big]$ generated by $b$ and $\mathcal{L}^{-α/2}$ is defined by \begin{equation*} \big[b,\mathcal L^{-α/2}\big](f)(x):=b(x)\cdot\mathcal{L}^{-α/2}(f)(x)-\mathcal{L}^{-α/2}(bf)(x). \end{equation*} A new class of Morrey--Campanato spaces associated with $\mathcal{L}$ is introduced in this paper. The authors establish some new estimates for the commutators $\big[b,\mathcal L^{-α/2}\big]$ on Morrey--Campanato spaces. The corresponding results for higher-order commutators$\big[b,\mathcal L^{-α/2}\big]^m$($m\in \mathbb{N}$) are also discussed.

Barium Titanate and Lithium Niobate Permittivity and Pockels Coefficients from MHz to Sub-THz Frequencies

The Pockels effect is essential for controlling optical signals at the highest speeds, particularly for electro-optic modulators in photonic integrated circuits. Lithium niobate (LN) and barium titanate (BTO) are two excellent Pockels materials to this end. Here, we measure the Pockels coefficients and permittivity in LN and BTO over a continuous frequency range from 100 MHz to 330 GHz. These properties are constant across this frequency range in LN but have a significant frequency dependence in BTO. Still, our measurements show that BTO has remarkably large electro-optic properties compared to LN. Furthermore, we show how BTO devices can be designed with a flat electro-optic frequency response despite the Pockels coefficient dispersion. Finally, we expound our method for broadband characterization of these vital electro-optic properties, utilizing specialized integrated electro-optic phase shifters. Altogether, this work empowers the design of high-speed BTO devices and the development of new electro-optic materials.

DeskVision: Large Scale Desktop Region Captioning for Advanced GUI Agents

The limitation of graphical user interface (GUI) data has been a significant barrier to the development of GUI agents today, especially for the desktop / computer use scenarios. To address this, we propose an automated GUI data generation pipeline, AutoCaptioner, which generates data with rich descriptions while minimizing human effort. Using AutoCaptioner, we created a novel large-scale desktop GUI dataset, DeskVision, along with the largest desktop test benchmark, DeskVision-Eval, which reflects daily usage and covers diverse systems and UI elements, each with rich descriptions. With DeskVision, we train a new GUI understanding model, GUIExplorer. Results show that GUIExplorer achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance in understanding/grounding visual elements without the need for complex architectural designs. We further validated the effectiveness of the DeskVision dataset through ablation studies on various large visual language models (LVLMs). We believe that AutoCaptioner and DeskVision will significantly advance the development of GUI agents, and will open-source them for the community.
