RoboStereo: Dual-Tower 4D Embodied World Models for Unified Policy Optimization

Scalable Embodied AI faces fundamental constraints due to prohibitive costs and safety risks of real-world interaction. While Embodied World Models (EWMs) offer promise through imagined rollouts, existing approaches suffer from geometric hallucinations and lack unified optimization frameworks for practical policy improvement. We introduce RoboStereo, a symmetric dual-tower 4D world model that employs bidirectional cross-modal enhancement to ensure spatiotemporal geometric consistency and alleviate physics hallucinations. Building upon this high-fidelity 4D simulator, we present the first unified framework for world-model-based policy optimization: (1) Test-Time Policy Augmentation (TTPA) for pre-execution verification, (2) Imitative-Evolutionary Policy Learning (IEPL) leveraging visual perceptual rewards to learn from expert demonstrations, and (3) Open-Exploration Policy Learning (OEPL) enabling autonomous skill discovery and self-correction. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate RoboStereo achieves state-of-the-art generation quality, with our unified framework delivering >97% average relative improvement on fine-grained manipulation tasks.

VGA-Bench: A Unified Benchmark and Multi-Model Framework for Video Aesthetics and Generation Quality Evaluation

The rapid advancement of AIGC-based video generation has underscored the critical need for comprehensive evaluation frameworks that go beyond traditional generation quality metrics to encompass aesthetic appeal. However, existing benchmarks remain largely focused on technical fidelity, leaving a significant gap in holistic assessment-particularly with respect to perceptual and artistic qualities. To address this limitation, we introduce VGA-Bench, a unified benchmark for joint evaluation of video generation quality and aesthetic quality. VGA-Bench is built upon a principled three-tier taxonomy: Aesthetic Quality, Aesthetic Tagging, and Generation Quality, each decomposed into multiple fine-grained sub-dimensions to enable systematic assessment. Guided by this taxonomy, we design 1,016 diverse prompts and generate a large-scale dataset of over 60,000 videos using 12 video generation models, ensuring broad coverage across content, style, and artifacts. To enable scalable and automated evaluation, we annotate a subset of the dataset via human labeling and develop three dedicated multi-task neural assessors: VAQA-Net for aesthetic quality prediction, VTag-Net for automatic aesthetic tagging, and VGQA-Net for generation and basic quality attributes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our models achieve reliable alignment with human judgments, offering both accuracy and efficiency. We release VGA-Bench as a public benchmark to foster research in AIGC evaluation, with applications in content moderation, model debugging, and generative model optimization.

SepSeq: A Training-Free Framework for Long Numerical Sequence Processing in LLMs

While transformer-based Large Language Models (LLMs) theoretically support massive context windows, they suffer from severe performance degradation when processing long numerical sequences. We attribute this failure to the attention dispersion in the Softmax mechanism, which prevents the model from concentrating attention. To overcome this, we propose Separate Sequence (SepSeq), a training-free, plug-and-play framework to mitigate dispersion by strategically inserting separator tokens. Mechanistically, we demonstrate that separator tokens act as an attention sink, recalibrating attention to focus on local segments while preserving global context. Extensive evaluations on 9 widely-adopted LLMs confirm the effectiveness of our approach: SepSeq yields an average relative accuracy improvement of 35.6% across diverse domains while reducing total inference token consumption by 16.4% on average.

Dual-branch Graph Domain Adaptation for Cross-scenario Multi-modal Emotion Recognition

Multimodal Emotion Recognition in Conversations (MERC) aims to predict speakers' emotional states in multi-turn dialogues through text, audio, and visual cues. In real-world settings, conversation scenarios differ significantly in speakers, topics, styles, and noise levels. Existing MERC methods generally neglect these cross-scenario variations, limiting their ability to transfer models trained on a source domain to unseen target domains. To address this issue, we propose a Dual-branch Graph Domain Adaptation framework (DGDA) for multimodal emotion recognition under cross-scenario conditions. We first construct an emotion interaction graph to characterize complex emotional dependencies among utterances. A dual-branch encoder, consisting of a hypergraph neural network (HGNN) and a path neural network (PathNN), is then designed to explicitly model multivariate relationships and implicitly capture global dependencies. To enable out-of-domain generalization, a domain adversarial discriminator is introduced to learn invariant representations across domains. Furthermore, a regularization loss is incorporated to suppress the negative influence of noisy labels. To the best of our knowledge, DGDA is the first MERC framework that jointly addresses domain shift and label noise. Theoretical analysis provides tighter generalization bounds, and extensive experiments on IEMOCAP and MELD demonstrate that DGDA consistently outperforms strong baselines and better adapts to cross-scenario conversations. Our code is available at https://github.com/Xudmm1239439/DGDA-Net.

Ming-Flash-Omni: A Sparse, Unified Architecture for Multimodal Perception and Generation

We propose Ming-Flash-Omni, an upgraded version of Ming-Omni, built upon a sparser Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) variant of Ling-Flash-2.0 with 100 billion total parameters, of which only 6.1 billion are active per token. This architecture enables highly efficient scaling (dramatically improving computational efficiency while significantly expanding model capacity) and empowers stronger unified multimodal intelligence across vision, speech, and language, representing a key step toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Compared to its predecessor, the upgraded version exhibits substantial improvements across multimodal understanding and generation. Notably, it achieves strong performance on vision-language understanding benchmarks, with overall scores on par with Gemini 2.5 Pro, and enables seamless switching among multimodal tasks in multi-turn interactions. In speech, it achieves strong performance in contextual and dialect-aware ASR while enabling joint, continuous-generation of speech, sound, and music. In vision, it introduces generative semantic segmentation that achieves competitive standalone performance and enhances spatial control and editing consistency, alongside marked improvements in identity preservation, and high-fidelity in-image text rendering. Together, these capabilities demonstrate that a single unified model can serve as a practical foundation for general-purpose multimodal intelligence.

Origin of Giant Phonon Magnetic Moment in Orbital Seebeck Effect: a Heisenberg-type L-L Coupling

Inspired by the recent observation of the orbital Seebeck effect in alpha-quartz, we identify an intrinsic amplification mechanism for thermally generated phonon angular momentum and phonon magnetic moment in chiral insulators. We propose a Heisenberg-type long-range coupling between phonon angular momenta, referred to here as L-L coupling, which opens a self-consistent feedback channel and strongly enhances the bare thermal response within linear response. Our calculations reveal a pronounced temperature- and size-dependent amplification, dominated by the off-diagonal channel, with the total phonon angular momentum enhanced by up to nearly two orders of magnitude as the system approaches the threshold from below. These findings suggest that L-L coupling may provide a microscopic origin of giant phonon magnetic moment the recently observed orbital Seebeck effect in alpha-quartz.

Identity-Consistent Video Generation under Large Facial-Angle Variations

Single-view reference-to-video methods often struggle to preserve identity consistency under large facial-angle variations. This limitation naturally motivates the incorporation of multi-view facial references. However, simply introducing additional reference images exacerbates the \textit{copy-paste} problem, particularly the \textbf{\textit{view-dependent copy-paste}} artifact, which reduces facial motion naturalness. Although cross-paired data can alleviate this issue, collecting such data is costly. To balance the consistency and naturalness, we propose $\mathrm{Mv}^2\mathrm{ID}$, a multi-view conditioned framework under in-paired supervision. We introduce a region-masking training strategy to prevent shortcut learning and extract essential identity features by encouraging the model to aggregate complementary identity cues across views. In addition, we design a reference decoupled-RoPE mechanism that assigns distinct positional encoding to video and conditioning tokens for better modeling of their heterogeneous properties. Furthermore, we construct a large-scale dataset with diverse facial-angle variations and propose dedicated evaluation metrics for identity consistency and motion naturalness. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly improves identity consistency while maintaining motion naturalness, outperforming existing approaches trained with cross-paired data.

Dynamic Fusion-Aware Graph Convolutional Neural Network for Multimodal Emotion Recognition in Conversations

Multimodal emotion recognition in conversations (MERC) aims to identify and understand the emotions expressed by speakers during utterance interaction from multiple modalities (e.g., text, audio, images, etc.). Existing studies have shown that GCN can improve the performance of MERC by modeling dependencies between speakers. However, existing methods usually use fixed parameters to process multimodal features for different emotion types, ignoring the dynamics of fusion between different modalities, which forces the model to balance performance between multiple emotion categories, thus limiting the model's performance on some specific emotions. To this end, we propose a dynamic fusion-aware graph convolutional neural network (DF-GCN) for robust recognition of multimodal emotion features in conversations. Specifically, DF-GCN integrates ordinary differential equations into graph convolutional networks (GCNs) to {capture} the dynamic nature of emotional dependencies within utterance interaction networks and leverages the prompts generated by the global information vector (GIV) of the utterance to guide the dynamic fusion of multimodal features. This allows our model to dynamically change parameters when processing each utterance feature, so that different network parameters can be equipped for different emotion categories in the inference stage, thereby achieving more flexible emotion classification and enhancing the generalization ability of the model. Comprehensive experiments conducted on two public multimodal conversational datasets {confirm} that the proposed DF-GCN model delivers superior performance, benefiting significantly from the dynamic fusion mechanism introduced.

SAM-R1: Leveraging SAM for Reward Feedback in Multimodal Segmentation via Reinforcement Learning

Leveraging multimodal large models for image segmentation has become a prominent research direction. However, existing approaches typically rely heavily on manually annotated datasets that include explicit reasoning processes, which are costly and time-consuming to produce. Recent advances suggest that reinforcement learning (RL) can endow large models with reasoning capabilities without requiring such reasoning-annotated data. In this paper, we propose SAM-R1, a novel framework that enables multimodal large models to perform fine-grained reasoning in image understanding tasks. Our approach is the first to incorporate fine-grained segmentation settings during the training of multimodal reasoning models. By integrating task-specific, fine-grained rewards with a tailored optimization objective, we further enhance the model's reasoning and segmentation alignment. We also leverage the Segment Anything Model (SAM) as a strong and flexible reward provider to guide the learning process. With only 3k training samples, SAM-R1 achieves strong performance across multiple benchmarks, demonstrating the effectiveness of reinforcement learning in equipping multimodal models with segmentation-oriented reasoning capabilities.

MaP: A Unified Framework for Reliable Evaluation of Pre-training Dynamics

Reliable evaluation is fundamental to the progress of Large Language Models (LLMs), yet the evaluation process during pre-training is plagued by significant instability that obscures true learning dynamics. In this work, we systematically diagnose this instability, attributing it to two distinct sources: \textit{Parameter Instability} from training stochasticity and \textit{Evaluation Instability} from noisy measurement protocols. To counteract both sources of noise, we introduce \textbf{MaP}, a dual-pronged framework that synergistically integrates checkpoint \underline{M}erging \underline{a}nd the \underline{P}ass@k metric. Checkpoint merging smooths the parameter space by averaging recent model weights, while Pass@k provides a robust, low-variance statistical estimate of model capability. Extensive experiments show that MaP yields significantly smoother performance curves, reduces inter-run variance, and ensures more consistent model rankings. Ultimately, MaP provides a more reliable and faithful lens for observing LLM training dynamics, laying a crucial empirical foundation for LLM research.

Taming the Long Tail: Efficient Item-wise Sharpness-Aware Minimization for LLM-based Recommender Systems

Large Language Model-based Recommender Systems (LRSs) have recently emerged as a new paradigm in sequential recommendation by directly adopting LLMs as backbones. While LRSs demonstrate strong knowledge utilization and instruction-following abilities, they have not been systematically studied under the long-standing long-tail problem. In this paper, we conduct an empirical study and reveal that LRSs face two distinct types of long-tail: i) prior long-tail, inherited implicitly from pretraining corpora, and ii) data long-tail, originating from skewed recommendation datasets. Our analysis shows that both contribute to the performance disparity between head and tail items, with the intersection of the two heads exhibiting an even stronger head effect. Nevertheless, the overall performance distribution in LRSs, especially on the tail, remains dominated by the data long-tail. To address this challenge, we propose Efficient Item-wise Sharpness-Aware Minimization (EISAM), a novel optimization framework that improves tail-item performance by adaptively regularizing the loss landscape at the item level. EISAM introduces an efficient penalty design that captures fine-grained item-specific sharpness while maintaining computational scalability for LLMs. In addition, we derive a generalization bound for EISAM. Our theoretical analysis shows that the bound decreases at a faster rate under our item-wise regularization, offering theoretical support for its effectiveness. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate that EISAM significantly boosts tail-item recommendation performance while preserving overall quality, establishing the first systematic solution to the long-tail problem in LRSs.

WS-Net: Weak-Signal Representation Learning and Gated Abundance Reconstruction for Hyperspectral Unmixing via State-Space and Weak Signal Attention Fusion

Weak spectral responses in hyperspectral images are often obscured by dominant endmembers and sensor noise, resulting in inaccurate abundance estimation. This paper introduces WS-Net, a deep unmixing framework specifically designed to address weak-signal collapse through state-space modelling and Weak Signal Attention fusion. The network features a multi-resolution wavelet-fused encoder that captures both high-frequency discontinuities and smooth spectral variations with a hybrid backbone that integrates a Mamba state-space branch for efficient long-range dependency modelling. It also incorporates a Weak Signal Attention branch that selectively enhances low-similarity spectral cues. A learnable gating mechanism adaptively fuses both representations, while the decoder leverages KL-divergence-based regularisation to enforce separability between dominant and weak endmembers. Experiments on one simulated and two real datasets (synthetic dataset, Samson, and Apex) demonstrate consistent improvements over six state-of-the-art baselines, achieving up to 55% and 63% reductions in RMSE and SAD, respectively. The framework maintains stable accuracy under low-SNR conditions, particularly for weak endmembers, establishing WS-Net as a robust and computationally efficient benchmark for weak-signal hyperspectral unmixing.

Unified Medical Image Segmentation with State Space Modeling Snake

Unified Medical Image Segmentation (UMIS) is critical for comprehensive anatomical assessment but faces challenges due to multi-scale structural heterogeneity. Conventional pixel-based approaches, lacking object-level anatomical insight and inter-organ relational modeling, struggle with morphological complexity and feature conflicts, limiting their efficacy in UMIS. We propose Mamba Snake, a novel deep snake framework enhanced by state space modeling for UMIS. Mamba Snake frames multi-contour evolution as a hierarchical state space atlas, effectively modeling macroscopic inter-organ topological relationships and microscopic contour refinements. We introduce a snake-specific vision state space module, the Mamba Evolution Block (MEB), which leverages effective spatiotemporal information aggregation for adaptive refinement of complex morphologies. Energy map shape priors further ensure robust long-range contour evolution in heterogeneous data. Additionally, a dual-classification synergy mechanism is incorporated to concurrently optimize detection and segmentation, mitigating under-segmentation of microstructures in UMIS. Extensive evaluations across five clinical datasets reveal Mamba Snake's superior performance, with an average Dice improvement of 3\% over state-of-the-art methods.

Preoperative-to-intraoperative Liver Registration for Laparoscopic Surgery via Latent-Grounded Correspondence Constraints

In laparoscopic liver surgery, augmented reality technology enhances intraoperative anatomical guidance by overlaying 3D liver models from preoperative CT/MRI onto laparoscopic 2D views. However, existing registration methods lack explicit modeling of reliable 2D-3D geometric correspondences supported by latent evidence, leading to limited interpretability and potentially unstable alignment in clinical scenarios. In this work, we introduce Land-Reg, a correspondence-driven deformable registration framework that explicitly learns latent-grounded 2D-3D landmark correspondences as an interpretable intermediate representation to bridge cross-modal alignment. For rigid registration, Land-Reg embraces a Cross-modal Latent Alignment module to map multi-modal features into a unified latent space. Further, an Uncertainty-enhanced Overlap Landmark Detector with similarity matching is proposed to robustly estimate explicit 2D-3D landmark correspondences. For non-rigid registration, we design a novel shape-constrained supervision strategy that anchors shape deformation to matched landmarks through reprojection consistency and incorporates local-isometric regularization to alleviate inherent 2D-3D depth ambiguity, while a rendered-mask alignment enforces global shape consistency. Experimental results on the P2ILF dataset demonstrate the superiority of our method on both rigid pose estimation and non-rigid deformation. Our code will be available at https://github.com/cuiruize/Land-Reg.

Effective and Efficient Masked Image Generation Models

Although masked image generation models and masked diffusion models are designed with different motivations and objectives, we observe that they can be unified within a single framework. Building upon this insight, we carefully explore the design space of training and sampling, identifying key factors that contribute to both performance and efficiency. Based on the improvements observed during this exploration, we develop our model, referred to as \textbf{eMIGM}. Empirically, eMIGM demonstrates strong performance on ImageNet generation, as measured by Fréchet Inception Distance (FID). In particular, on ImageNet $256\times256$, with similar number of function evaluations (NFEs) and model parameters, eMIGM outperforms the seminal VAR. Moreover, as NFE and model parameters increase, eMIGM achieves performance comparable to the state-of-the-art continuous diffusion model REPA while requiring less than 45\% of the NFE. Additionally, on ImageNet $512\times512$, eMIGM outperforms the strong continuous diffusion model EDM2. Code is available at https://github.com/ML-GSAI/eMIGM.

LLaDA-o: An Effective and Length-Adaptive Omni Diffusion Model

We present \textbf{LLaDA-o}, an effective and length-adaptive omni diffusion model for multimodal understanding and generation. LLaDA-o is built on a Mixture of Diffusion (MoD) framework that decouples discrete masked diffusion for text understanding and continuous diffusion for visual generation, while coupling them through a shared, simple, and efficient attention backbone that reduces redundant computation for fixed conditions. Building on MoD, we further introduce a data-centric length adaptation strategy that enables flexible-length decoding in multimodal settings without architectural changes. Extensive experiments show that LLaDA-o achieves state-of-the-art performance among omni-diffusion models on multimodal understanding and generation benchmarks, and reaches 87.04 on DPG-Bench for text-to-image generation, supporting the effectiveness of unified omni diffusion modeling. Code is available at https://github.com/ML-GSAI/LLaDA-o.

SemHiTok: A Unified Image Tokenizer via Semantic-Guided Hierarchical Codebook for Multimodal Understanding and Generation

In this paper, we introduce SemHiTok, a unified image Tokenizer via Semantic-Guided Hierarchical codebook that provides consistent discrete representations for multimodal understanding and generation. Recently, unified image tokenizers have sparked exploration within the research community, which is designed to capture high-level semantic features for understanding and retaining low-level pixel features for generation. Previous works attempt to train a unified image tokenizer by combining loss for semantic distillation and pixel reconstruction. However, due to the differing levels of features prioritized by multimodal understanding and generation, joint training methods face significant challenges in achieving a good trade-off. SemHiTok addresses this challenge through a novel semantic-guided hierarchical codebook, which builds pixel sub-codebooks on a pretrained semantic codebook. This design decouples the semantic and pixel in terms of structure and training strategy, enabling the tokenizer to capture pixel features while retaining its ability to comprehend high-level semantic information. Our experiments demonstrate that SemHiTok achieves leading performance in image reconstruction and multimodal understanding under the LLaVA-v1.5 setting. Further, we develop a unified MLLM with SemHiTok, which exhibits superior performance across multimodal understanding and generation tasks. Extensive experiments confirm our analysis, showing that our unified image tokenizer architecture achieves a better trade-off.

Unseen-Codebases-Domain Data Synthesis and Training Based on Code Graphs

In the context of newly release software frameworks, large language models (LLMs) often exhibit poor performance and a high rate of hallucination, as they are not exposed to such environments during training. Although inference-time augmentation techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) can partially mitigate hallucinations, knowledge injection through prompting alone is insufficient to enable models to fully understand the intrinsic relationships among different components of a codebase, or to reason about the correct compositions and apply. Although explicit knowledge injection can be achieved through post-training, compared with public code domains, unseen codebases typically provide only source code and lack large volumes of high-quality, usage-oriented code that can be directly leveraged as training data. Consequently, existing data synthesis approaches are insufficient to adequately capture unseen codebases usage scenarios when restricted to source code alone. To address these challenges, we propose UCD-Training, a two-stage training framework for reasoning-aware data synthesis grounded in a code graph constructed from unseen codebases. UCD-Training first parses the source code to build a code graph, then conducts dependency-preserving continued pretraining (CPT) using file-level dependency data, followed by graph-grounded supervised fine-tuning (SFT) on three types of synthesized data augmented with explicit reasoning traces: (1) single-hop relation reasoning data, (2) compositional API reasoning data, and (3) codebase utilization data. We further introduce a new benchmark, UnseenCodeBench, for code generation on unseen codebases and conduct comprehensive experiments across multiple codebases.
