KuaFu: Compressing Long User Behavior into Understanding at Billion Scale

Learning user preferences from long behavioral sequences is fundamental to large-scale advertising, recommender systems, and conversational agents. In industrial systems, preference modeling is typically task-wise, with different downstream tasks independently processing the same user history to capture different aspects of preference. This repeated processing creates substantial redundancy at billion-user scale, especially as preferences evolve and representations require frequent updates. We present KuaFu, a unified user preference modeling system that replaces repeated user-level sequence encoding with reusable item-level compressed representations. Each behavioral item is encoded once and shared across users and downstream tasks, while a user's history is built chronologically and extended with new item representations as they arrive, letting KuaFu capture evolving preferences without re-encoding the entire history. To reduce inference and storage overhead, KuaFu introduces a two-axis projector: token-axis compression shortens behavior sequences by up to 15x and reduces each item from 150 KB to 10 KB, while width-axis compression reduces the cached representation to 0.5 KB. We further develop a four-stage training pipeline consisting of reconstruction pre-training, preference-understanding post-training, joint compression-generation training, and hallucination-aware reinforcement learning, progressively improving representation fidelity and downstream utility. Across six MRQA and five RecBench benchmarks, KuaFu consistently outperforms existing compression methods at comparable ratios, with gains of up to 17.7 EM and 1.90 AUC points respectively. KuaFu has been deployed and evaluated on the Tencent advertising and recommendation platform for ten months. Over this period, it improves per-GPU throughput by up to 350%, saves 190 GPUs, and increases overall GMV by 1.37%.

Collective Quantum State Preparation Is Nonadditive

Quantum state preparation is a basic primitive of quantum computation and control, but its resource cost is usually analyzed for one target state or under an independent-copy construction. Here we study the many-copy problem under weighted Pauli control, where a Pauli-product rotation $e^{iϕP}$ is charged by its rotation angle $|ϕ|$, independently of the weight of $P$. We derive the exact single-qubit preparation cost and show that it is strictly nonadditive: a four-pulse collective protocol prepares two $T$ states at lower cost than two optimal one-copy protocols. We further identify finite regions of the Bloch sphere with collective saving, including trajectories that remain product throughout, showing that transient entanglement is not the only mechanism behind the advantage. Complementarily, a dimension-independent Rényi-entropy speed limit gives an extensive lower bound for every coherent target and an exponential fidelity penalty below a finite preparation rate. These results establish a many-copy geometry of state synthesis in which uncorrelated outputs can nevertheless benefit from collective control.

JoyAI-Voice 2.0: A Full-Continuous Autoregressive Speech Generation Model with Semantic-Acoustic Joint Representation

We present JoyAI-Voice~2.0, an end-to-end anthropomorphic speech generation model built upon a fully continuous, dual-encoder architecture. Raw speech is encoded into continuous latents and partitioned into patches. Each patch is decomposed by a semantic-acoustic dual encoder into a semantically purified representation and an acoustic representation, which are fused and jointly fed to a causal autoregressive Transformer for planning. The Transformer predicts the conditioning for the next patch, and a local diffusion Transformer renders its full latents for 48\,kHz synthesis. The model is trained with a joint flow-matching and stop-prediction objective, followed by supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning with DiffusionNFT to improve model performance. It achieves the lowest average word error rate of 2.51\% on Seed-TTS, a 14.9\% relative reduction over the strongest baseline, and state-of-the-art attribute fidelity on InstructTTSEval in both Chinese and English, leading on 5 of 10 perceptual dimensions with the highest overall score of 0.893 on MDVD-Eval.

HelloWorld: Towards Practical Applications of Generative Driving World Models

Driving world models provide a promising route toward scalable counterfactual data generation and interactive simulation beyond recorded driving logs. Realizing this potential requires a system that can generalize across diverse scenes, respond faithfully to prescribed controls, generate coherent multi-sensor observations, and operate efficiently under repeated inference. We present \textbf{HelloWorld}, a 2B driving world model system designed around these requirements. HelloWorld progressively specializes broad visual and motion priors from heterogeneous video data into controllable driving generation using ego pose, HD maps, and 3D boxes. A block-causal generation interface, together with adaptation to self-generated context, aligns the model with sequential simulation. The system further supports synchronized seven-camera RGB generation and conditional LiDAR synthesis, and is distilled toward few-step inference for efficient deployment. Experiments evaluate visual quality, control fidelity, cross-view consistency, robustness under repeated generation, inference efficiency, and LiDAR synthesis. Together, HelloWorld provides a unified framework for scalable driving data generation and interactive simulation.

Causal-Class Hierarchies in Coherence-Constrained Channel Transformation

Higher-order quantum transformations allow multiple channel uses to be combined through different causal architectures, from parallel and fixed-order sequential networks to general higher-order processes. Whether this causal freedom improves channel transformation when the higher-order operation is also constrained by a resource theory remains largely unexplored. We study this question in the dynamical resource theory of coherence using a unified semidefinite-programming framework. For two qubit amplitude-damping channels and the identity target, we prove a strict causal hierarchy at every nontrivial damping strength under both maximally incoherent superchannels (MISC) and dephasing-covariant incoherent superchannels (DISC). In contrast, mixed-Pauli channels admit a common teleportation simulation that transfers the channel dependence to Bell-diagonal program states prepared in parallel. The remaining processing can then be absorbed into a single quantum operational, so parallel, fixed-order sequential, and general higher-order strategies achieve the same optimal error for any target. These results identify free program-state parallelisation as a structural obstruction to causal enhancement.

Analytic Qubit Separation between POVMs and Projective Measurements

Generalized measurements can be implemented projectively after enlarging the Hilbert space, but this dilation changes the available local dimension. We construct a Bell functional with rational coefficients that separates the two measurement models at local dimension two. An explicit three-outcome qubit positive-operator-valued measure with rational matrix entries attains $2\sqrt2+1/100$. On the other hand, all qubit-projective strategies are bounded by $2\sqrt2+\sqrt5/250+\sqrt2/32400$, giving a fully analytic certified gap greater than $1/1000$. To our knowledge, this is the first fully analytic Bell-functional separation between qubit POVMs and qubit projective measurements over arbitrary shared two-qubit states. Lean certificate for the separation theorem is provided for completeness. Separately, an exact level-3 noncommutative sum-of-squares certificate proves that the explicit qubit strategy attains the unrestricted finite-dimensional tensor-product quantum optimum.

Alipay-PIBench: A Realistic Payment Integration Benchmark for Coding Agents

Payment integration is a demanding repository-level software task: agents must select a suitable product, implement coordinated client-server flows, verify payment outcomes, and preserve consistency between transaction and business states. We introduce Alipay-PIBench, a benchmark for evaluating coding agents on realistic Alipay payment integration. It contains nine product-specific projects and 18 task instances, each organized into Basic functional-completion and Advanced risk-aware hardening scenarios. Scenario-specific rubrics support deterministic static, unit, integration, and end-to-end checks, supplemented by LLM-assisted assessment for semantic requirements. We evaluate six coding-agent models and report rubric pass rate (RPR). Under the with-skill condition, mean RPR ranges from 68.58% to 91.37%. Access to the alipay-payment-integration skill improves mean RPR by 10.31 percentage points on average relative to the without-skill condition, with gains varying across models, products, and scenarios. Method-level results distinguish source-level completion, executable payment behavior, and payment-domain requirements. Alipay-PIBench provides a controlled setting for diagnosing model capability and evaluating structured guidance in payment integration.

PromptKWS: A Novel Prompt-Guided Open-Vocabulary Keyword Spotting Framework

In this paper, we present PromptKWS, a novel Prompt-guided keyword spotting (KWS) framework to improve the accuracy of open vocabulary KWS systems. In specific terms, we introduce the Prompt Phrases Prediction Network (PPN), an encoder-decoder architecture designed to effectively extract keyword prompts embeddings. we employ the PPN encoder to encode the keyword prompts and infuse the prompt embedding into the Prompt-guided KWS encoder by utilizing a Prompt-acoustic Multi-head Cross-attention (MHCA). Experiments show that PromptKWS improves the wakeup rate by over 10% compared to baseline system. Notably, another strength of PromptKWS is its ability to effectively leverage keyword prompts for adapting to complex real-world environments involving noise and pronunciation variations. In comparison to purely acoustic models, which often struggle in such situations, PromptKWS demonstrates remarkable performance, with an average accuracy improvement of over 15% in test sets.

How Context Attribution Handles What the Model Already Knows

Context attribution methods for large language models (LLMs) identify which input context contributes to the model response. Recent works show the initial success in attributing the con- tributive score of the contexts. However, we observe that when the context overlaps with the training data, these methods can- not disentangle in-context from in-weight (IW) contributions, producing unreliable scores. Based on this observation, in this work, we introduce: 1) an evaluation protocol that relies on four new metrics (base-model context attribution score (BCS), cross-model context attribution consistency (CAC), attribution preservation score (APS), source separation pre- cision (SSP)) and 2) a benchmark dataset (WMDP-Cyber++) with ground-truth provenance labels to systematically assess attribution under IW overlap. In our experiments across four well-known context attribution methods, we demonstrate that they provide unfaithful attribution when the knowledge from the context also exists in the weights. Finally, we adapt these methods for source separation (IW vs. in-context learning (ICL)) and show that they cannot do the disentanglement based on the contributive score

DTRNet: Dual Text-Radical Decoding for Handwritten Chinese Text Recognition with Faked Character Detection

In K-12 educational scenarios, handwritten Chinese text recognition should not only transcribe student writing, but also detect faked characters. However, existing recognition models are usually confined to a predefined set of normal characters and therefore cannot explicitly identify faked characters. Existing detection methods exhibit complementary limitations: character-level methods provide interpretable structural evidence but suffer from low efficiency, whereas line-level methods are efficient but rely heavily on confidence scores, making them prone to missed detections and lacking explicit structural evidence. Thus, the key challenge is to preserve character-structural evidence independent of contextual inference while maintaining line-level efficiency. To this end, we propose DTRNet, a dual Text-Radical decoding framework for line-level faked character detection. DTRNet decouples context-aware text recognition from character-wise structural verification, where the text branch performs line-level transcription and the radical branch predicts legal Ideographic Description Sequences (IDS) for lexicon-based faked character judgment. We further introduce IDS-Guided Confidence Adjustment (IGCA) to refine text predictions using structural evidence during inference. Experimental results demonstrate that DTRNet effectively detects faked characters while maintaining strong recognition performance and providing interpretable radical-level evidence. Code, checkpoints, and the processed dataset are publicly available at https://github.com/BNU-ERC-ITEA/DTRNet.

JoyAI-Talker: Full-Duplex Speech Interactive Large Model Built for Empathetic Voice Agents

We present JoyAI-Talker, a full-duplex speech dialogue system that delivers robust foundation model capabilities while empowering empathetic interaction and voice agent intelligence. JoyAI-Talker adopts a modular Thinker-Talker architecture and further implements a unified speech-text joint training pipeline to mitigate the common "cognitive degradation" bottleneck, thereby largely preserving the model's core textual reasoning, STEM, and logical capabilities while extending them to speech-based interaction. For expressive speech synthesis, the Talker module employs a text-controllable generation paradigm that enables natural-language instructions to flexibly control vocal attributes and localized paralinguistic events, such as laughter and sighs, supporting more expressive and fine-grained speech responses. To enhance conversational empathy, we introduce the Persona-Adaptive Empathetic Response (PAER) framework. PAER employs a hierarchical cognitive pipeline to extract non-verbal speaker cues, such as gender, age, and emotional state, from raw input audio, incorporate them into the Thinker's CoT reasoning, and generate context-adaptive responses that align semantically appropriate text with fine-grained control over utterance-level expressiveness and localized paralinguistic events, including sighs, speaking rate, and volume. We further integrate Joy-Duplex, a state-driven, plug-and-play full-duplex framework that functions as an efficient gating engine for real-time turn control. Extensive evaluations show that JoyAI-Talker achieves highly competitive performance on foundational T2T and S2T benchmarks. In full-duplex evaluation, the system reaches a high response rate of 0.88 under user interruptions while maintaining an extremely low false-trigger rate under background speech, demonstrating its readiness for fluid and natural speech dialogue.

Event Stream based Multi-Modal Video Anomaly Detection: A Benchmark Dataset and Algorithms

Video anomaly detection (VAD) is critical for automated surveillance but remains fragile under challenging conditions such as illumination variations, fast motion, and complex backgrounds when relying solely on visible light videos. To address these limitations, we propose EVAD, an event enhanced VAD framework that jointly exploits conventional video and event streams captured by bio inspired event cameras. Event sensors asynchronously capture brightness changes with high temporal resolution, offering robustness to motion blur and extreme lighting, and providing motion salient cues complementary to video based visual information. To support multi modal VAD research, we construct a large scale visible event benchmark comprising 6.3 billion events and 376,368 video frames collected under diverse illumination levels, motion patterns, and background complexities, filling the gap of realistic and scalable datasets for event based anomaly detection. Building upon this dataset, we design a contrastive multi modal pretraining framework to learn discriminative event representations by aligning semantic embeddings across event streams, visible videos, and textual descriptions. An adaptive fusion module then dynamically integrates event based temporal cues with video based spatial semantics, improving robustness to environmental disturbances. Experiments on benchmarks and the proposed TJUTCM Pha dataset demonstrate that E VAD consistently outperforms methods, validating the effectiveness of event-based sensing for VAD in real world scenarios.

VLMEvalKit: An Open-Source Toolkit for Evaluating Large Multi-Modality Models

We present VLMEvalKit: an open-source toolkit for evaluating large multi-modality models based on PyTorch. The toolkit aims to provide a user-friendly and comprehensive framework for researchers and developers to evaluate existing multi-modality models and publish \textbf{reproducible} evaluation results. In VLMEvalKit, we implement over 450+ large multi-modality model configurations, including both proprietary APIs and open-source models, and support 330+ benchmarks across diverse multi-modal benchmarks. By implementing a single interface, new models can be easily added to the toolkit, while the toolkit automatically handles the remaining workloads, including data preparation, distributed inference, prediction post-processing, and metric calculation. VLMEvalKit has also evolved to a broader evaluation suite spanning video/audio, document understanding, GUI grounding, spatial reasoning, safety, scientific reasoning, and multi-turn dialogue. Based on the evaluation results obtained with the toolkit, we host the OpenVLM Leaderboard, a comprehensive leaderboard to track the progress of multi-modality learning research. The toolkit is released on https://github.com/open-compass/VLMEvalKit and is actively maintained.

Perturbative Deformation Mechanism of Metasurface

Metasurfaces enable precise manipulation of light-matter interactions, and meta-atom coupling and scaling dominates their resonant properties and functional responses. Conventionally, although theories such as CMT and CDT can explain many metasurface phenomena, a unified mechanism that reveals how the deformation of metasurface affect its performance remains lacking. Here, by combining transformation optics and spatial perturbation, we proposed a universal deformation mechanism of metasurface, which establishes a general physical picture. Based on this mechanism, we interpret the resonance frequency drift caused by coupling of the meta-atoms, clarify the tuning law of resonant frequency via geometric scaling of unit structures, and further demonstrate the anisotropic shift of grating resonant peak. Theoretical predictions show consistency with full-wave simulation results in all three scenarios. Given the broad applicability of the transformation optics and perturbation theory, the universal mechanism with intuitive physical picture should be widely existed in diverse fields including photonics crystals, Bragg fibers, two-dimensional materials and crystalline optical properties.

OpenCompass: A Universal Evaluation Platform for Large Language Models

In recent years, the field of artificial intelligence has undergone a paradigm shift from task-specific small-scale models to general-purpose large language models (LLMs). With the rapid iteration of LLMs, objective, quantitative, and comprehensive evaluation of their capabilities has become a critical link in advancing technological development. Currently, the mainstream static benchmark dataset-based evaluation methods face challenges such as the diversity of task types, inconsistent evaluation criteria, and fragmentation of data and processing workflows, making it difficult to efficiently conduct cross-domain and large-scale model evaluation. To address the aforementioned issues, this paper proposes and open-sources OpenCompass, a one-stop, scalable, and high-concurrency-supported general-purpose LLM evaluation platform. Adhering to the design philosophy of modularization and component decoupling, the platform boasts three core advantages: high compatibility, flexibility, and high concurrency. The core architecture of OpenCompass comprises five key components: the Configuration System, Task Partitioning Module, Execution and Scheduling Module, Task Execution Unit, and Result Visualization Module. Its workflow provides rule-based, LLM-as-a-Judge, and cascaded evaluators to adapt to the requirements of different task scenarios. Supporting mainstream benchmark datasets across multiple domains, including knowledge, reasoning, computation, science, language, code, etc., the platform offers a unified and efficient LLM evaluation tool for both academia and industry, facilitating the accurate identification of strengths and weaknesses of LLMs as well as their subsequent optimization.

Pure Spin Photocurrent in Altermagnetic Photovoltaic Battery

Altermagnets, featuring momentum-dependent spin splitting without net magnetization, provide a promising platform for spintronic functionalities beyond conventional ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. Here, we propose an altermagnetic spin photovoltaic battery consisting of a nonmagnetic semiconducting layer sandwiched between two altermagnetic electrodes. Using first-principles quantum-transport simulations, we show that a V2Te2O/ZnSe/V2Te2O junction supports a pure spin photocurrent for opposite Néel vectors in the two altermagnetic electrodes, with spin-up and spin-down photocurrents equal in magnitude and opposite in sign. The effect persists under both linearly and circularly polarized light and remains tunable with photon energy and polarization angle. Our results establish a realistic route toward light-driven pure spin-current generation in altermagnetic junctions.

CRoFT: Robust Fine-Tuning with Concurrent Optimization for OOD Generalization and Open-Set OOD Detection

Recent vision-language pre-trained models (VL-PTMs) have shown remarkable success in open-vocabulary tasks. However, downstream use cases often involve further fine-tuning of VL-PTMs, which may distort their general knowledge and impair their ability to handle distribution shifts. In real-world scenarios, machine learning systems inevitably encounter both covariate shifts (e.g., changes in image styles) and semantic shifts (e.g., test-time unseen classes). This highlights the importance of enhancing out-of-distribution (OOD) generalization on covariate shifts and simultaneously detecting semantic-shifted unseen classes. Thus a critical but underexplored question arises: How to improve VL-PTMs' generalization ability to closed-set OOD data, while effectively detecting open-set unseen classes during fine-tuning? In this paper, we propose a novel objective function of OOD detection that also serves to improve OOD generalization. We show that minimizing the gradient magnitude of energy scores on training data leads to domain-consistent Hessians of classification loss, a strong indicator for OOD generalization revealed by theoretical analysis. Based on this finding, we have developed a unified fine-tuning framework that allows for concurrent optimization of both tasks. Extensive experiments have demonstrated the superiority of our method. The code is available at https://github.com/LinLLLL/CRoFT.

$Δ\mathrm{Energy}$: Optimizing Energy Change During Vision-Language Alignment Improves both OOD Detection and OOD Generalization

Recent approaches for vision-language models (VLMs) have shown remarkable success in achieving fast downstream adaptation. When applied to real-world downstream tasks, VLMs inevitably encounter both the in-distribution (ID) data and out-of-distribution (OOD) data. The OOD datasets often include both covariate shifts (e.g., known classes with changes in image styles) and semantic shifts (e.g., test-time unseen classes). This highlights the importance of improving VLMs' generalization ability to covariate-shifted OOD data, while effectively detecting open-set semantic-shifted OOD classes. In this paper, inspired by the substantial energy change observed in closed-set data when re-aligning vision-language modalities (specifically by directly reducing the maximum cosine similarity to a low value), we introduce a novel OOD score, named ΔEnergy. ΔEnergy significantly outperforms the vanilla energy-based OOD score and provides a more reliable approach for OOD detection. Furthermore, ΔEnergy can simultaneously improve OOD generalization under covariate shifts, which is achieved by lower-bound maximization for ΔEnergy (termed EBM). EBM is theoretically proven to not only enhance OOD detection but also yields a domain-consistent Hessian, which serves as a strong indicator for OOD generalization. Based on this finding, we developed a unified fine-tuning framework that allows for improving VLMs' robustness in both OOD generalization and OOD detection. Extensive experiments on challenging OOD detection and generalization benchmarks demonstrate the superiority of our method, outperforming recent approaches by 10% to 25% in AUROC.
