NUT Solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-scalar-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

In this article, we consider a class of four-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory which is coupled non-minimally to a scalar field and the Gauss-Bonnet invariant. We mainly use the numerical methods to find the solutions to the theory, with the NUT twist. We find explicitly the numerical solutions to all of the field equations. To find the appropriate consistent numerical solutions, we use the the perturbative expansion of the fields asymptotically, as well as near horizon. The solutions describe the NUTty black holes with the scalar charge which also depend explicitly on the values of the non-minimal coupling constants. We provide a detailed numerical analysis of the solutions in terms of all existing parameters of the theory.

Meissner effect and holographic dual for the Melvin-Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetimes

We investigate correspondence between the Melvin-Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime, and the conformal field theory. The near horizon geometry of extremal Melvin-Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime possesses the $SL\left(2,{\mathbb R}\right)\times U\left(1\right)$ isometry, which allows one to employ the asymptotic symmetry group method, in establishing the holographic correspondence for the spacetime. We also use the alternative way of the stretched horizon method, to compute the extremal entropy of the black hole. We find perfect agreement between the results of asymptotic symmetry group and the stretched horizon methods, to establish the holography for the extremal Melvin-Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT black hole. The black hole Meissner effect for the Melvin-Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole is also discussed.

Bianchi IX geometry and the Einstein-Maxwell theory

We construct numerical solutions to the higher-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory. The solutions are based on embedding the four dimensional Bianchi type IX space in the theory. We find the solutions as superposition of two functions, which one of them can be found numerically. We show that the solutions in any dimensions, are almost regular everywhere, except a singular point. We find that the solutions interpolate between the two exact analytical solutions to the higher dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory, which are based on Eguchi-Hanson type I and II geometries. Moreover, we construct the exact cosmological solutions to the theory, and study the properties of the solutions.

Fubini-Study geometries in the higher-dimensional gravity

We construct approximate solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell theory with uplifting the four dimensional Fubini-Study Kahler manifold. We find the solutions can be expressed as the integrals of two special functions. The solutions are regular almost everywhere except a bolt structure on a single point in any dimensionality. We also show that in the context of considered ansatzes for the metric function and the Maxwell field, the solutions are unique and can not be non-trivially extended to include the cosmological constant in any dimensions.

New class of exact solutions to Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory on four-dimensional Bianchi type IX geometry

We construct new classes of cosmological solution to the five dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory, that are non-stationary and almost conformally regular everywhere. The base geometry for the solutions is the four-dimensional Bianchi type IX geometry. In the theory, the dilaton field is coupled to the electromagnetic field and the cosmological constant term, with two different coupling constants. We consider all possible solutions with different values of the coupling constants, where the cosmological constant takes any positive, negative or zero values. In the ansatzes for the metric, dilaton and electromagnetic fields, we consider dependence on time and two spatial directions. We also consider a special case of the Bianchi type IX geometry, in which the geometry reduces to that of Eguchi-Hanson type II geometry and find a more general solution to the theory.

Magnetized Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetimes

We find a new class of exact solutions in the Einstein-Maxwell theory by employing the Ernst magnetization process to the Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetimes. We study the solutions and find that they are regular everywhere. We also find the quasilocal conserved quantities for the spacetimes, the corresponding Smarr formula and the first law of thermodynamics.

Hidden conformal symmetry of the rotating charged AdS black holes in quadratic $f$($T$) gravity

The nonextremal Kerr black holes have been considered to be holographically dual to two-dimensional (2D) conformal field theories (CFTs). In this paper, we extend the holography to the case of an asymptotically anti--de Sitter (AdS) rotating charged black holes in $f$($T$) gravity, where $f(T) = T + \alpha T^2$, where $\alpha$ is a constant. We find that the scalar wave radial equation at the near-horizon region implies the existence of the 2D conformal symmetries. We note that the $2\pi$ identification of the azimuthal angle $\phi$ in the black hole line element, corresponds to a spontaneous breaking of the conformal symmetry by left and right temperatures $T_{L}$ and $T_{R}$, respectively. We show that choosing proper central charges for the dual CFT, we produce exactly the macroscopic Bekenstein-Hawking entropy from the microscopic Cardy entropy for the dual CFT. These observations suggest that the rotating charged AdS black hole in $f$($T$) gravity is dual to a 2D CFT at finite temperatures $T_{L}$ and $T_{R}$ for a specific value of mass $M$, rotational, charge, and $f$($T$) parameters, $\Omega$, $Q$, and $|\alpha|$, respectively.

Atiyah-Hitchin in Five Dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

We construct a new class of stationary exact solutions to five-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. The solutions are based on four-dimensional self-dual Atiyah-Hitchin geometry. We find analytical solutions to the five-dimensional metric function that are regular everywhere. We find some constraints on the possible physical solutions by investigating the solutions numerically. We also study the behavior of the solutions in the extremal limits of the Atiyah-Hitchin geometry. In the extremal limits, the Atiyah-Hitchin metric reduces to a bolt structure and Euclidean Taub-NUT space, respectively. In these limits, the five-dimensional metric function approaches to a constant value and infinity, respectively. We find the asymptotic metrics are regular everywhere.
