ICI-VLA: In-Context Imitation with Spatiotemporally Aligned Demonstrations for Vision-Language-Action Models

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policies are commonly adapted to new manipulation settings through additional gradient updates, which limits rapid deployment when task-specific data or compute is scarce. We present ICI-VLA, a training and retrieval framework that equips a text-action VLM with few-shot test-time adaptation through in-context demonstrations. Unlike mainstream VLA designs based on action-specific multimodal fusion, ICI-VLA retains the native text-generation interface. ICI-VLA updates its parameters only during offline training; at inference, the policy remains fixed and conditions action generation on retrieved micro-demonstrations. The framework decomposes long trajectories into short, semantically labeled examples and trains an RD-Encoder with positives mined by Dynamic Time Warping (DTW), aligning the retrieved context with the phase and geometry of the current subtask. We further introduce Target Action Masking, a context-corruption objective designed to reduce direct action copying and increase reliance on the current observation. ICI-VLA reaches average success rates of 97.7% on LIBERO and 60.4% on RoboTwin 2.0, exceeding the highest reported baseline average on RoboTwin 2.0 by 19.3 percentage points. It also achieves 83.2% across four physical tasks. These results indicate that a fixed VLA policy can benefit from conditioning on spatiotemporally aligned demonstrations at test time.

Local Features Meet Stochastic Anonymization: Revolutionizing Privacy-Preserving Face Recognition for Black-Box Models

The task of privacy-preserving face recognition (PPFR) currently faces two major unsolved challenges: (1) existing methods are typically effective only on specific face recognition models and struggle to generalize to black-box face recognition models; (2) current methods employ data-driven reversible representation encoding for privacy protection, making them susceptible to adversarial learning and reconstruction of the original image. We observe that face recognition models primarily rely on local features ({e.g., face contour, skin texture, and so on) for identification. Thus, by disrupting global features while enhancing local features, we achieve effective recognition even in black-box environments. Additionally, to prevent adversarial models from learning and reversing the anonymization process, we adopt an adversarial learning-based approach with irreversible stochastic injection to ensure the stochastic nature of the anonymization. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves an average recognition accuracy of 94.21\% on black-box models, outperforming existing methods in both privacy protection and anti-reconstruction capabilities.

The Extended Resonant Modal Theory and Its Applications

In this paper, we extend the resonant modal theory (RMT) developed previously for a metal object to an arbitrary source region consisting of metals, dielectrics, or the combination of both. The influences of dielectrics on the fields are replaced by equivalent volume sources through the use of the compensation theorem in electromagnetic theory. The resonant frequencies can be determined by finding the roots of the determinant of the matrix resulted from the discretization of the real homogeneous volume-surface integral equation derived from the requirement that the difference of stored field energies in the source region vanishes. As applications of the extended RMT, three examples have been investigated. The first example is a dielectric resonator antenna, and is designed by exciting the first resonant mode of the composite structure in which the dielectric cylinder is combined with a conformal metallic strip. The second example is a dual-band dielectric-coated metallic wire antenna. The third example studies the resonant modes of a rectangular patch antenna.
