Non-abelian Abel's theorems and quaternionic rotation

In order to compute with $l$--adic sheaves or crystals on a line over $\mathbb{F} _q$ a low-technology alternative to the traditional computation with the Hecke operators on the automorphic side could be helpful. A program which has evolved over the years in our discussions with M. Kontsevich centers around the concept that, in the geometric case, there must exist certain multiplication laws on the Galois--representation side that could be thought of as precursors of the automorphic lifts: non-abelian Abel's theorems, and their restrictions to diagonal, Clausen identities. To a varying extent, they can determine the trace functions of $l$--adic sheaves or crystals with prescribed ramification without directly appealing to the Hecke--eigen property on the automorphic side.

Algebraic properties of Manin matrices II: q-analogues and integrable systems

We study a natural q-analogue of a class of matrices with noncommutative entries, which were first considered by Yu. I. Manin in 1988 in relation with quantum group theory, (called Manin Matrices in [5]) . These matrices we shall call q-Manin matrices(qMMs). They are defined, in the 2x2 case, by the relations M_21 M_12 = q M_12 M_21; M_22 M_12 = q M_12 M_22; [M_11;M_22] = 1/q M_21 M_12 - q M_12 M_21: They were already considered in the literature, especially in connection with the q-Mac Mahon master theorem [16], and the q-Sylvester identities [25]. The main aim of the present paper is to give a full list and detailed proofs of algebraic properties of qMMs known up to the moment and, in particular, to show that most of the basic theorems of linear algebras (e.g., Jacobi ratio theorems, Schhur complement, the Cayley-Hamilton theorem and so on and so forth) have a straightforward counterpart for q-Manin matrices. We also show how this classs of matrices ?ts within the theory of quasi-determninants of Gel'fand-Retakh and collaborators (see, e.g., [17]). In the last sections of the paper, we frame our definitions within the tensorial approach to non-commutative matrices of the Leningrad school, and we show how the notion of q-Manin matrix is related to theory of Quantum Integrable Systems.

Double Poisson brackets on free associative algebras

We discuss double Poisson structures in sense of M. Van den Bergh on free associative algebras focusing on the case of quadratic Poisson brackets. We establish their relations with an associative version of Young-Baxter equations, we study a bi-hamiltonian property of the linear-quadratic pencil of the double Poisson structure and propose a classification of the quadratic double Poisson brackets in the case of the algebra with two free generators. Many new examples of quadratic double Poisson brackets are proposed.

On the Heisenberg invariance and the Elliptic Poisson tensors

We study different algebraic and geometric properties of Heisenberg invariant Poisson polynomial quadratic algebras. We show that these algebras are unimodular. The elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras $q_{n,k}(\mathcal E)$ are the main important example. We classify all quadratic $H-$invariant Poisson tensors on ${\mathbb C}^n$ with $n\leq 6$ and show that for $n\leq 5$ they coincide with the elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras or with their certain degenerations.

Algebraic properties of Manin matrices 1

We study a class of matrices with noncommutative entries, which were first considered by Yu. I. Manin in 1988 in relation with quantum group theory. They are defined as "noncommutative endomorphisms" of a polynomial algebra. More explicitly their defining conditions read: 1) elements in the same column commute; 2) commutators of the cross terms are equal: $[M_{ij}, M_{kl}] = [M_{kj}, M_{il}]$ (e.g. $[M_{11},M_{22}] = [M_{21},M_{12}]$). The basic claim is that despite noncommutativity many theorems of linear algebra hold true for Manin matrices in a form identical to that of the commutative case. Moreover in some examples the converse is also true. The present paper gives a complete list and detailed proofs of algebraic properties of Manin matrices known up to the moment; many of them are new. In particular we present the formulation in terms of matrix (Leningrad) notations; provide complete proofs that an inverse to a M.m. is again a M.m. and for the Schur formula for the determinant of a block matrix; we generalize the noncommutative Cauchy-Binet formulas discovered recently [arXiv:0809.3516], which includes the classical Capelli and related identities. We also discuss many other properties, such as the Cramer formula for the inverse matrix, the Cayley-Hamilton theorem, Newton and MacMahon-Wronski identities, Plucker relations, Sylvester's theorem, the Lagrange-Desnanot-Lewis Caroll formula, the Weinstein-Aronszajn formula, some multiplicativity properties for the determinant, relations with quasideterminants, calculation of the determinant via Gauss decomposition, conjugation to the second normal (Frobenius) form, and so on and so forth. We refer to [arXiv:0711.2236] for some applications.

Equivariant cohomology and localization for Lie algebroids

Let M be a manifold carrying the action of a Lie group G, and A a Lie algebroid on M equipped with a compatible infinitesimal G-action. Out of these data we construct an equivariant Lie algebroid cohomology and prove for compact G a related localization formula. As an application we prove a Bott-type formula.

SOS model partition function and the elliptic weight functions

We generalize a recent observation [arXiv:math/0610433] that the partition function of the 6-vertex model with domain-wall boundary conditions can be obtained by computing the projections of the product of the total currents in the quantum affine algebra $U_{q}(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{2})$ in its current realization. A generalization is proved for the the elliptic current algebra [arXiv:q-alg/9703018,arXiv:q-alg/9601022]. The projections of the product of total currents are calculated explicitly and are represented as integral transforms of the product of the total currents. We prove that the kernel of this transform is proportional to the partition function of the SOS model with domain-wall boundary conditions.

Classical elliptic current algebras

In this paper we discuss classical elliptic current algebras and show that there are two different choices of commutative test function algebras on a complex torus leading to two different elliptic current algebras. Quantization of these classical current algebras give rise to two classes of quantized dynamical quasi-Hopf current algebras studied by Enriquez-Felder-Rubtsov and Arnaudon-Buffenoir-Ragoucy-Roche-Jimbo-Konno-Odake-Shiraishi. Different degenerations of the classical elliptic algebras are considered. They yield different versions of rational and trigonometric current algebras. We also review the averaging method of Faddeev-Reshetikhin, which allows to restore elliptic algebras from the trigonometric ones.

Integrable systems associated with elliptic algebras

We construct some new Integrable Systems (IS) both classical and quantum associated with elliptic algebras. Our constructions are partly based on the algebraic integrability mechanism given by the existence of commuting families in skew fields and partly - on the internal properties of the elliptic algebras and their representations. We give some examples to make an evidence how these IS are related to previously studied.

Quantizations of Hitchin and Beauville-Mukai integrable systems

Spectral transformation is known to set up a birational morphism between the Hitchin and Beauville-Mukai integrable systems. The corresponding phase spaces are: (a) the cotangent bundle of the moduli space of bundles over a curve C, and (b) a symmetric power of the cotangent surface T^*(C). We conjecture that this morphism can be quantized, and we check this conjecture in the case where C is a rational curve with marked points and rank 2 bundles. We discuss the relation of the resulting isomorphism of quantized algebras with Sklyanin's separation of variables.

Commuting families in skew fields and quantization of Beauville's fibration

We construct commuting families in fraction fields of symmetric powers of algebras. The classical limit of this construction gives Poisson commuting families associated with linear systems. In the case of a K3 surface S, they correspond to lagrangian fibrations introduced by Beauville. When S is the canonical cone of an algebraic curve C, we construct commuting families of differential operators on symmetric powers of C, quantizing the Beauville systems.

Double Elliptic Dynamical Systems From Generalized Mukai - Sklyanin Algebras

We consider the double-elliptic generalisation of dynamical systems of Calogero-Toda-Ruijsenaars type using finite-dimensional Mukai-Sklyanin algebras. The two-body system, which involves an elliptic dependence both on coordinates and momenta, is investigated in detail and the relation with Nambu dynamics is mentioned. We identify the 2D complex manifold associated with the double elliptic system as an elliptically fibered rational ("1/2K3 ") surface. Some generalisations are suggested which provide the ground for a description of the N-body systems. Possible applications to SUSY gauge theories with adjoint matter in $d=6$ with two compact dimensions are discussed.

Polynomilal Poisson algebras with regular structure of symplectic leaves

We study polynomial Poisson algebras with some regularity conditions. Linear (Lie-Berezin-Kirillov) structures on dual spaces of semi-simple Lie algebras, quadratic Sklyanin elliptic algebras of \cite{FO1},\cite{FO2} as well as polynomial algebras recently described by Bondal-Dubrovin-Ugaglia (\cite{Bondal},\cite{Ug}) belong to this class. We establish some simple determinantal relations between the brackets and Casimirs in this algebras. These relations imply in particular that for Sklyanin elliptic algebras the sum of Casimir degrees coincides with the dimension of the algebra. We are discussing some interesting examples of these algebras and in particular we show that some of them arise naturally in Hamiltonian integrable systems. Among these examples is a new class of two-body integrable systems admitting an elliptic dependence both on coordinates and momenta.

Dualities in integrable systems: geometrical aspects

We discuss geometrical aspects of different dualities in the integrable systems of the Hitchin type and its various generalizations. It is shown that T duality known in the string theory context is related to the separation of variables procedure in dynamical system. We argue that there are analogues of S duality as well as mirror symmetry in the many-body systems of Hitchin type. The different approaches to the double elliptic systems are unified using the geometry behind the Mukai-Odesskii algebra.

Duality in Integrable Systems and Gauge Theories

We discuss various dualities, relating integrable systems and show that these dualities are explained in the framework of Hamiltonian and Poisson reductions. The dualities we study shed some light on the known integrable systems as well as allow to construct new ones, double elliptic among them. We also discuss applications to the (supersymmetric) gauge theories in various dimensions.

Hecke-Tyurin parametrization of the Hitchin and KZB systems

We study the parametrization of the moduli space Bun_2(C)_L of rank 2 bundles over a curve C with fixed determinant, provided by Hecke modifications at fixed points of the trivial bundle. This parametrization is closely related to the Tyurin parametrization of vector bundles over curves. We use it to parametrize the Hitchin and KZB systems, as well as lifts of the Beilinson-Drinfeld D-modules. We express a generating series for the lifts of the Beilinson-Drinfeld operators in terms of a "quantum L-operator" \ell(z). We explain the relation to earlier joint work with G. Felder, based on parametrization by flags of bundles (math/9807145) and introduce filtrations on conformal blocks, related with the Hecke modifications.

Hilbert Schemes, Separated Variables, and D-Branes

We explain Sklyanin's separation of variables in geometrical terms and construct it for Hitchin and Mukai integrable systems. We construct Hilbert schemes of points on $T^{*}Σ$ for $Σ= {\IC}, {\IC}^{*}$ or elliptic curve, and on ${\bf C}^{2}/Γ$ and show that their complex deformations are integrable systems of Calogero-Sutherland-Moser type. We present the hyperkähler quotient constructions for Hilbert schemes of points on cotangent bundles to the higher genus curves, utilizing the results of Hurtubise, Kronheimer and Nakajima. Finally we discuss the connections to physics of $D$-branes and string duality.
