Aligned Consensus Teaching for Label-Efficient Oriented Object Detection in Weakly-Aligned Visible-Infrared Imagery

Visible-infrared object detection (VIOD) detects objects with oriented bounding boxes from paired visible and infrared images. Existing methods depend on costly dual-modality annotations. Semi-supervised learning can reduce this burden, but extending it from single-modal detection to VIOD is challenging. In the practical image-pair-level setting considered here, only a few pairs are labeled in both modalities, while the rest are completely unlabeled. This limited supervision creates three challenges: (i) too few labeled boxes for robust cross-modal alignment; (ii) pseudo-label errors caused by branch-wise misses accumulate during self-training; and (iii) tail-class annotations become critically scarce as the labeling budget decreases. We propose Aligned Consensus Teacher (ACT) for label-efficient VIOD in this setting. Its Cycle-Consistent Region Alignment (CRA) combines cycle consistency and sparse anchors with reliability-weighted regional matching. Cross-Modal Consensus Mean-Teacher (CMC-MT) forms consensus pseudo labels under pair-preserving views to recover branch-wise misses and supervise unlabeled pairs. Text-Guided Cross-Modal Instance Augmentation (TG-CMIA) uses a vision-language scene prior to compose tail-class instance pairs while preserving RGB--IR offsets. To the best of our knowledge, ACT is the first framework to study semi-supervised VIOD under this image-pair-level setting. Experiments on DroneVehicle and VEDAI show consistent gains across annotation ratios. With 10\% labeled pairs on DroneVehicle, ACT reaches 94.3\% of the mAP obtained by the same detector under full supervision. Code and models will be available on GitHub to facilitate future work.

Multi-View Mixture-of-Experts with Vision-Language Reranking for Cross-View Object Geo-Localization

Cross-view object geo-localization (CVOGL) locates a target in satellite imagery using drone or street-view queries. Existing methods train separate detectors for each viewpoint, leading to parameter redundancy and impeding cross-view knowledge sharing. Moreover, top-ranked satellite candidates are often visually similar, so visual appearance and categorical labels alone are insufficient to resolve such ambiguity. To address these, we propose MVLGeo, an efficient framework designed to unify multiple viewpoints and reduce model redundancy. First, we introduce environmental contextual text from the query view as cues to distinguish visually similar candidates via Vision-Language Reranking (VL-Rerank). Second, we design a multi-view Mixture-of-Experts architecture (MV-MoE) with a shared encoder and view-specific experts to reduce redundancy and promote knowledge sharing, while cross-view contrastive learning aligns their representations for consistency. Third, we introduce an adaptive elliptical prior (ESAM-Prior) as auxiliary positional encoding for anisotropic geometric perception. Extensive experiments on the CVOGL benchmarks confirm that MVLGeo, as a unified model for multiple query viewpoints, achieves state-of-the-art performance, demonstrating robustness to input degradation and generalization across viewpoints. Code and models will be available on GitHub to facilitate future work.

Bridging Severe Cross-Modal Misalignment: End-to-End Visible-Infrared Object Detection via Explicit Feature-Domain Affine Registration

Visible-infrared object detection relies on complementary RGB and thermal cues, but its performance is often degraded by cross-modal spatial misalignment. Most existing methods rely on implicit feature adaptation to handle weakly misaligned scenarios, while large-offset geometric discrepancies remain insufficiently addressed. In this paper, we propose a Joint Feature-domain Registration and Detection network (JFRDet), an end-to-end visible-infrared oriented object detector tailored for severely cross-modal geometric discrepancies. JFRDet introduces a Cross-Modal Affine Alignment (CMAA) module to estimate an image-level affine transformation for explicit multi-level feature alignment. Note that illumination changes directly affect the reliability of RGB cues, an Illumination-Guided Complementary Fusion (IGCF) module adaptively exploits modality reliability under varying illumination conditions for cross-modal fusion. Then, an Alignment Quality-Consistency Gating (AQCG) strategy stabilizes joint optimization by modulating detection supervision according to alignment reliability and gradient consistency. We further construct DroneVehicle Misaligned (DVMA), a benchmark for evaluating visible-infrared oriented object detection under severe cross-modal geometric misalignment. The proposed JFRDet achieves 69.7\% $\mathrm{mAP}_{50}$ on DVMA, which represents state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance. The code and dataset will be available on GitHub.

Geometry Meets Semantics: Fractional Gradient Stabilization for Semantic-Driven Bounding Box Optimization in Visual Detection Tasks

Bounding boxes are fundamental for object localization in visual detection tasks. Among them, oriented bounding boxes are widely used in visual detection tasks, which provide a more precise directional representation. Generally, IoU-based losses are widely adopted to optimize box regression. However, we observed that IoU-driven box optimization suffers from two key issues: (1) it relies solely on geometric properties while ignoring semantic cues; (2) orientation optimization suffers from unstable gradients, causing oscillations in orientation convergence. In this paper, we propose a Fractional Semantic IoU loss to achieve unified semantic-geometric learning with gradient stabilization. First, we design a semantic similarity metric to guide IoU optimization, building a Semantic IoU loss (SIoU loss) with an adaptive gradient gating mechanism. Then, we revisit the gradient instability issue in oriented box optimization and extend the SIoU loss to a fractional-order formulation to build the \textbf{Fr}actional \textbf{S}emantic \textbf{IoU} \textbf{loss} (FrSIoU loss). The FrSIoU loss accumulates historical IoU states to regularize abnormal gradients during bounding box optimization process. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves stable performance gains across different bounding box formulations and diverse visual detection tasks. The code will be available on GitHub.

Visualizing spin-polarization of an altermagnet KV$_2$Se$_2$O via spin-selective tunneling

Altermagnetism, a recently identified magnetic phase that combines vanishing net magnetization with momentum-dependent spin splitting, challenges the conventional dichotomy between ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. While several candidate materials have been proposed, direct experimental evidence linking crystal symmetry, electronic structure and d-wave spin polarization remains scarce. Here we report the visualization of a metallic d-wave altermagnet in KV2Se2O. Through spin-selective scanning tunneling microscopy powered by a topological insulator tip, we uncover symmetry-protected momentum-dependent spin splitting that follows a characteristic d-wave form factor. Our results establish KV2Se2O as a tunable platform to study the interplay between spin-valley locking, Fermi-surface instability and unconventional magnetism, and open a pathway toward symmetry-engineered spintronics without net magnetization.

Cost-Aware Distributed Online Learning with Strict Rejection Behavior against Adversarial Agents

Distributed online learning in Internet of Things(IoT)-enabled multi-agent systems(MASs) is highly vulnerable to persistent adversarial interactions, particularly when malicious agents cannot be fully isolated during the transient learning stage. Existing resilient learning methods mainly focus on convergence preservation or malicious suppression, while the resulting evolution inefficiency caused by repeated corrective adaptation remains largely unexplored. To address this issue, this paper develops a cost-aware distributed online learning framework with a strict rejection behavior against adversarial agents. The proposed mechanism suppresses harmful assimilation of suspicious neighboring information and reveals a previously overlooked side effect, that is, the strict rejection may induce heterogeneous transient evolution among neighboring normal agents, leading to evolution desynchronization across the network. To mitigate this effect, a two-time-scale adaptive evolution regulation architecture is further developed, in which the outer layer dynamically adjusts the long-term evolution-rate schedule while the inner layer preserves robust online learning. Theoretical analysis establishes the dynamic tracking property of the outer-layer update and proves that the proposed regulation mechanism attenuates the propagation of strict-rejection-induced evolution desynchronization. Numerical simulations and a satellite-assisted IoT monitoring scenario demonstrate that the proposed method achieves robust and low-cost distributed online learning under persistent malicious interference.

FreqTrack: Frequency Learning based Vision Transformer for RGB-Event Object Tracking

Existing single-modal RGB trackers often face performance bottlenecks in complex dynamic scenes, while the introduction of event sensors offers new potential for enhancing tracking capabilities. However, most current RGB-event fusion methods, primarily designed in the spatial domain using convolutional, Transformer, or Mamba architectures, fail to fully exploit the unique temporal response and high-frequency characteristics of event data. To address this, we1 propose FreqTrack, a frequency-aware RGBE tracking framework that establishes complementary inter-modal correlations through frequency-domain transformations for more robust feature fusion. We design a Spectral Enhancement Transformer (SET) layer that incorporates multi-head dynamic Fourier filtering to adaptively enhance and select frequency-domain features. Additionally, we develop a Wavelet Edge Refinement (WER) module, which leverages learnable wavelet transforms to explicitly extract multi-scale edge structures from event data, effectively improving modeling capability in high-speed and low-light scenarios. Extensive experiments on the COESOT and FE108 datasets demonstrate that FreqTrack achieves highly competitive performance, particularly attaining leading precision of 76.6\% on the COESOT benchmark, validating the effectiveness of frequency-domain modeling for RGBE tracking.

Event-Adaptive State Transition and Gated Fusion for RGB-Event Object Tracking

Existing Vision Mamba-based RGB-Event(RGBE) tracking methods suffer from using static state transition matrices, which fail to adapt to variations in event sparsity. This rigidity leads to imbalanced modeling-underfitting sparse event streams and overfitting dense ones-thus degrading cross-modal fusion robustness. To address these limitations, we propose MambaTrack, a multimodal and efficient tracking framework built upon a Dynamic State Space Model(DSSM). Our contributions are twofold. First, we introduce an event-adaptive state transition mechanism that dynamically modulates the state transition matrix based on event stream density. A learnable scalar governs the state evolution rate, enabling differentiated modeling of sparse and dense event flows. Second, we develop a Gated Projection Fusion(GPF) module for robust cross-modal integration. This module projects RGB features into the event feature space and generates adaptive gates from event density and RGB confidence scores. These gates precisely control the fusion intensity, suppressing noise while preserving complementary information. Experiments show that MambaTrack achieves state-of-the-art performance on the FE108 and FELT datasets. Its lightweight design suggests potential for real-time embedded deployment.

Strix: Re-thinking NPU Reliability from a System Perspective

DNNs and LLMs increasingly rely on hardware accelerators, including in safety-critical domains, while technology scaling and growing model complexity make hardware faults more frequent. Existing system-level mechanisms typically treat the NPU as a monolithic unit, using coarse-grained replication that incurs prohibitive performance and hardware overheads, leaving a gap between reliability requirements and deployable solutions. To bridge this gap, we present Strix, a full-stack NPU reliability framework on an open-source SoC, spanning micro-architecture, ISA, and programming methods. Strix re-partitions the NPU along the system inference pipeline, identifies dominant failure modes, and attaches targeted safeguards, achieving sub-micro-second fault localisation, error detection, and correction with only 1.04$\times$ slowdown and minimal hardware overhead.

Consistent and Efficient MSCKF-based LiDAR-Inertial Odometry with Inferred Cluster-to-Plane Constraints for UAVs

Robust and accurate navigation is critical for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) especially for those with stringent Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constraints. However, most state-of-the-art (SOTA) LiDAR-Inertial Odometry (LIO) systems still suffer from estimation inconsistency and computational bottlenecks when deployed on such platforms. To address these issues, this paper proposes a consistent and efficient tightly-coupled LIO framework tailored for UAVs. Within the efficient Multi-State Constraint Kalman Filter (MSCKF) framework, we build coplanar constraints inferred from planar features observed across a sliding window. By applying null-space projection to sliding-window coplanar constraints, we eliminate the direct dependency on feature parameters in the state vector, thereby mitigating overconfidence and improving consistency. More importantly, to further boost the efficiency, we introduce a parallel voxel-based data association and a novel compact cluster-to-plane measurement model. This compact measurement model losslessly reduces observation dimensionality and significantly accelerating the update process. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that our method outperforms most state-of-the-art (SOTA) approaches by providing a superior balance of consistency and efficiency. It exhibits improved robustness in degenerate scenarios, achieves the lowest memory usage via its map-free nature, and runs in real-time on resource-constrained embedded platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson TX2).

Yuan3.0 Ultra: A Trillion-Parameter Enterprise-Oriented MoE LLM

We introduce Yuan3.0 Ultra, an open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) large language model featuring 68.8B activated parameters and 1010B total parameters, specially designed to enhance performance on enterprise scenarios tasks while maintaining competitive capabilities on general purpose tasks. We propose Layer-Adaptive Expert Pruning (LAEP) algorithm designed for the pre-training stage of MoE LLMs. In contrast to previous expert pruning approaches that operate primarily in the post-training phase, the proposed algorithm enhances training efficiency by selectively pruning underutilized experts and reorganizing experts across computing devices according to token distribution statistics. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that LAEP effectively reduces model size and substantially improves pre-training efficiency. When pre-training Yuan3.0 Ultra from scratch original with 1515B parameters, this algorithm delivers a 49\% boost in pre-training efficiency and a 33.3\% reduction in total parameters, while preserving the model's outstanding multi-domain performance. Yuan-TecSwin: A text conditioned Diffusion model with Swin-transformer blocks

Diffusion models have shown remarkable capacity in image synthesis based on their U-shaped architecture and convolutional neural networks (CNN) as basic blocks. The locality of the convolution operation in CNN may limit the model's ability to understand long-range semantic information. To address this issue, we propose Yuan-TecSwin, a text-conditioned diffusion model with Swin-transformer in this work. The Swin-transformer blocks take the place of CNN blocks in the encoder and decoder, to improve the non-local modeling ability in feature extraction and image restoration. The text-image alignment is improved with a well-chosen text encoder, effective utilization of text embedding, and careful design in the incorporation of text condition. Using an adapted time step to search in different diffusion stages, inference performance is further improved by 10%. Yuan-TecSwin achieves the state-of-the-art FID score of 1.37 on ImageNet generation benchmark, without any additional models at different denoising stages. In a side-by-side comparison, we find it difficult for human interviewees to tell the model-generated images from the human-painted ones.

Robust 4D Radar-aided Inertial Navigation for Aerial Vehicles

While LiDAR and cameras are becoming ubiquitous for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) but can be ineffective in challenging environments, 4D millimeter-wave (MMW) radars that can provide robust 3D ranging and Doppler velocity measurements are less exploited for aerial navigation. In this paper, we develop an efficient and robust error-state Kalman filter (ESKF)-based radar-inertial navigation for UAVs. The key idea of the proposed approach is the point-to-distribution radar scan matching to provide motion constraints with proper uncertainty qualification, which are used to update the navigation states in a tightly coupled manner, along with the Doppler velocity measurements. Moreover, we propose a robust keyframe-based matching scheme against the prior map (if available) to bound the accumulated navigation errors and thus provide a radar-based global localization solution with high accuracy. Extensive real-world experimental validations have demonstrated that the proposed radar-aided inertial navigation outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both accuracy and robustness.

SQLfuse: Enhancing Text-to-SQL Performance through Comprehensive LLM Synergy

Text-to-SQL conversion is a critical innovation, simplifying the transition from complex SQL to intuitive natural language queries, especially significant given SQL's prevalence in the job market across various roles. The rise of Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 has greatly advanced this field, offering improved natural language understanding and the ability to generate nuanced SQL statements. However, the potential of open-source LLMs in Text-to-SQL applications remains underexplored, with many frameworks failing to leverage their full capabilities, particularly in handling complex database queries and incorporating feedback for iterative refinement. Addressing these limitations, this paper introduces SQLfuse, a robust system integrating open-source LLMs with a suite of tools to enhance Text-to-SQL translation's accuracy and usability. SQLfuse features four modules: schema mining, schema linking, SQL generation, and a SQL critic module, to not only generate but also continuously enhance SQL query quality. Demonstrated by its leading performance on the Spider Leaderboard and deployment by Ant Group, SQLfuse showcases the practical merits of open-source LLMs in diverse business contexts.
