AnomaSense: Anomaly-based Sensor Activation for Fine-Grained Human Activity Recognition

Audio carries rich cues about human activities, and microphones are already built into most wearable devices. However, microphones also capture speech, and this privacy risk limits their use in Human Activity Recognition (HAR). We present AnomaSense, a sensor activation approach for wrist wearables that keeps the microphone off by default and turns it on for at most one second when an unsupervised anomaly detector flags an IMU segment that is likely to produce sound. The captured audio is further masked before it reaches the recognition model. We study 20 activities from 15 participants, organized into five groups in which activities share similar wrist motion but differ in the object or material involved. With IMU data alone, our recognition model reaches 78.98% accuracy in leave-one-participant-out validation. With the short, masked audio windows added, accuracy reaches 96.89% with no masking and stays above 86% when 90% of each one-second audio window is removed. On the same data, the anomaly detector triggers the microphone with 86.46% precision and 74.28% recall relative to sound events. We also report a small preliminary check of automatic speech recognition on masked speech, which shows that contiguous masking degrades recognition far more than point-wise masking at the same masking ratio. Our evaluation is a controlled, offline feasibility study. We describe the threat model, what the approach does and does not protect, and the steps needed before deployment.

Topological Fingerprints of Commensurate Order in Twisted Moiré Lattices

Moiré patterns in twisted bilayer materials exhibit long-range periodic order that is highly sensitive to twist angle. Identifying commensurate angles from real-space atomic structures remains challenging, as spectral and geometric methods emphasize global periodicity and are sensitive to disorder and finite-size effects. Here, we introduce a data-driven topological framework that quantifies moiré periodicity by treating atomic configurations as point-cloud data and extracting multiscale signatures using persistent homology. At the core of our approach is a small-neighborhood separation filter that removes redundant local motifs in persistence diagrams while preserving key structural features, enabling sharp minima in Wasserstein distances between twisted and untwisted reference configurations that accurately recover commensurate angles. We benchmark this framework against geometric and spectral similarity measures and show that the resulting topological descriptors remain stable under positional disorder ranging from weak to strong perturbations in the bond length. We further transfer these descriptors using a constrained Gaussian process surrogate to sparsely sampled configurations of a twisted MoTe$_2$ dichalcogenide bilayer. These results establish topological descriptors with neighborhood separation as a robust framework for identifying commensurate order in moiré systems and tracking commensurate structural similarity under disorder, sparsity, and finite-size effects.

Power-law growth of shift current with superlattice period in flat Chern bands

Quantum geometry governs a wide array of physical observables in topological quantum materials. In its ideal limit, quantum geometry yields exact bounds and analytical results for a growing class of observables. However, a comparable framework for the shift current remains elusive because it depends on geometric relations between multiple bands. In this work, we show that the shift current is proportional to the cyclotron shift, the displacement of the cyclotron center induced by Landau-level mixing. This mechanism yields a universal scaling law: the integrated weight and the peak magnitude scale as $l^{i+1-n}$ and $l^{2i+1-n}$ in the magnetic length or moiré period $l$, where $n$ is the momentum order of the symmetry-breaking perturbation and $ΔE \propto l^{-i}$ is the level spacing. We verify the scaling law in exactly solvable chiral-$N$ Landau levels under a uniform magnetic field and in Schrödinger and Dirac moiré skyrmion crystals, which capture the flat Chern bands of twisted MoTe$_2$ and twisted bilayer graphene. For a Schrödinger flat band with a distorted skyrmion texture, the integrated weight grows linearly with the moiré period and the resonant peak grows cubically.

Beyond Task Completion: Training Capable and Safe Computer-Use Agents

Computer-use agents (CUAs) have made rapid progress in completing complex tasks through graphical user interfaces, yet post-training centered on task success alone does not induce reliable safety behavior. A reliable CUA must condition its execution on risk: it should complete ordinary benign tasks, avoid environmental hazards and continue when a safe completion path remains, and refuse when the goal is harmful or no safe path exists. To learn this conditional policy, we develop Safety and Capability Optimization for Policy Execution (SCOPE), which jointly post-trains a CUA for task-execution capability and safety-aware decision making. To provide aligned training data for this joint objective, we further introduce SCOPE-Gen, an automated pipeline that synthesizes verifiable capability tasks and converts them into paired environment-risk variants while preserving their original goals. Using the resulting tasks, we construct SATraj-OS, a trajectory dataset comprising capability demonstrations, safe continuations, and explicit refusals. SCOPE first learns from all three trajectory types through supervised fine-tuning and then further improves task completion through online reinforcement learning. Starting from Qwen3.5-9B, SCOPE-RL achieves a 54.17% task success rate on OSWorld and a 64.30% attack-avoidance rate on OS-BLIND, yielding the best aggregate capability--safety score of 58.80% among the evaluated agents. Ablations reveal asymmetric but complementary roles for the two forms of safety supervision: refusal trajectories account for most of the attack-avoidance gain, whereas risk-handling trajectories preserve greater task utility at comparable attack-avoidance levels.

The Challenge of Identifying the Origin of Black-Box Large Language Models

The tremendous commercial potential of large language models (LLMs) has heightened concerns over their unauthorized use. To address this, we focus on the task of identifying the origin of black-box LLMs. We further propose PlugAE, an effective and efficient identification method that proactively leverages LLM-specific adversarial embeddings and allows users to customize copyright tokens on a targeted query set. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PlugAE outperforms both state-of-the-art model watermarking and fingerprinting methods in accuracy and robustness. We further analyze its stealthiness and reliability from three complementary perspectives and conduct ablation studies under various configurations, confirming its practicality for real-world misuse detection.

VividCam: Learning Unconventional Camera Motions from Virtual Synthetic Videos

Although recent video generative models are getting more capable of following external camera controls, imposed by either text descriptions or camera trajectories, they still struggle to generalize to unconventional camera motions, which is crucial in creating truly original and artistic videos. The challenge lies in finding sufficient training videos with the intended uncommon camera motions. To this end, we propose VividCam, a training paradigm that enables diffusion models to learn complex camera motions from synthetic videos, releasing the reliance on collecting realistic training videos. VividCam incorporates multiple disentanglement strategies that isolate camera motion learning from synthetic appearance artifacts, ensuring more robust motion representation and mitigating domain shift. We show that our design synthesizes a wide range of precisely controlled camera motions using surprisingly simple synthetic data. Notably, this synthetic data often consists of basic geometries within a low-poly 3D scene and can be efficiently rendered by engines like Unity. Real Money, Fake Models: Deceptive Model Claims in Shadow APIs

Access to frontier large language models (LLMs), such as GPT-5 and Gemini-2.5, is often hindered by high pricing, payment barriers, and regional restrictions. These limitations drive the proliferation of $\textit{shadow APIs}$, third-party services that claim to provide access to official model services without regional limitations via indirect access. Despite their widespread use, it remains unclear whether shadow APIs deliver outputs consistent with those of the official APIs, raising concerns about the reliability of downstream applications and the validity of research findings that depend on them. In this paper, we present the first systematic audit between official LLM APIs and corresponding shadow APIs. We first identify 17 shadow APIs that have been utilized in 187 academic papers, with the most popular one reaching more than 5,900 citations and 58,000 GitHub stars by December 6, 2025. Through multidimensional auditing of three representative shadow APIs across utility, safety, and model verification, we uncover widespread behavioral inconsistency and fingerprint-based evidence consistent with deceptive model claims in a subset of audited endpoints. Specifically, we reveal performance divergence reaching up to 47.21%, significant unpredictability in safety behaviors, and identity verification failures in 45.83% of fingerprint tests. These practices critically undermine the reproducibility and validity of scientific research, harm the interests of shadow API users, and damage the reputation of official model providers. By the time of writing, 4 of the 17 providers have already ceased operations, underscoring the operational volatility of this market. Meanwhile, unverifiable compliance claims and independent model-substitution testing platforms have emerged in the ecosystem, reflecting growing community awareness of this risk.

Carrier duality from the convergence of Dirac fermions and high-order van Hove singularities

The convergence of highly mobile Dirac fermions and flat-band heavy electrons offers a paradigm for emergent quantum phenomena. However, experimental realization of such intriguing state remains elusive. In this study, we report a dual carrier regime in the kagome metal Co3In2S2, wherein the charge transport is governed by high-mobility electrons while the thermodynamic responses exhibit heavy-electron behavior. This exotic duality arises from the coexistence of topological Dirac fermions and flat-band high-order (4th-order) Van Hove singularities (HOVHSs) at the Fermi surface, as revealed by magnetic-torque quantum oscillation and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. The interaction between Dirac and HOVHS-derived carriers can be captured by a minimal two-pocket model, manifesting as sublinear resistivity above ~100 K and field-induced non-Fermi-liquid behavior at low temperatures. Our study establishes Co3In2S2 as a model platform for exploring many-body physics at the intersection of topology and correlation effects, and provides a foundational framework for designing quantum materials hosting diverse emergent states.

Splashing-regime transitions and secondary-droplet scaling in oblique drop impacts on a deep pool

Oblique drop impact onto a deep liquid pool produces asymmetric crowns, directional jetting, and splashing transitions that cannot be characterized by the total impact inertia alone. We numerically investigate water drops impacting a quiescent deep pool over $41\leq We\leq1790$ and $10^\circ\leqθ\leq90^\circ$. The simulations reproduce the principal features observed experimentally and identify five post-impact regimes in the $We$--$θ$ plane: deposition, front splashing, side splashing, side-front splashing, and crown splashing. The deposition--front-splashing transition is described by the tangential-inertial parameter $K_s=We\cosθ$, with $K_s^c\approx120$. This criterion follows from the competition between downstream crown-rim inertia and capillary retraction at the Taylor--Culick velocity. The transition from front to side-front splashing is instead governed primarily by normal impact inertia, with a critical normal Weber number $We_N^c\approx318$. Beyond these regime transitions, the secondary-droplet statistics reveal fragmentation behavior common to the different splashing regimes. The droplet-size distributions are positively skewed, and the median diameter follows $d_{s,\mathrm{med}}/D\sim We^{-3/5}$. Second-order velocity structure functions support a scale-dependent capillary--inertial description of rim and ligament breakup. Combined with mass conservation, this scaling gives $N_s\sim We^{9/5}$, providing a numerical explanation for the secondary-droplet-number scaling observed experimentally. Thus, directional impact inertia governs the macroscopic selection of splashing regimes, whereas the secondary-droplet populations across these regimes exhibit a common capillary--inertial fragmentation scaling.

EasyScan_HEP 2: LLM-Agent Parameter-Scan Workflows in High Energy Physics

Large-language-model (LLM) agents are beginning to reshape the preparation and steering of computational workflows in high-energy physics phenomenology. To accommodate this change, we upgrade EasyScan_HEP to make the construction of parameter-scan configuration files more accessible to LLM-agent assistance. EasyScan_HEP 2 exposes command-line and machine-readable interfaces for LLM-agent workflows, allowing an assistant to translate natural language requests into an explicit .ini configuration that defines the scan method, external-program workflow, constraints, and outputs. The resulting configuration can be inspected through a local Web interface. The framework also supports LLM-agent-guided extension to new scan methods, as illustrated by the integration of BESTFIT, EMCEE, and DYNESTY. In this way, EasyScan_HEP 2 adapts parameter-scan workflows to LLM-agent use while preserving reproducibility, transparency, and user control.

TeV Higgsino Dark Matter from LZ Nuclear Recoil to Fermi-LAT Gamma Rays

The excess of high-energy nuclear recoils, which was recently reported by the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment, together with the Fermi-LAT Galactic-Center preference, suggests new physics beyond the standard model (SM). One of the minimal extensions of the SM is to introduce a fermionic electroweak doublet in which the lightest neutral component can play the role of a stable dark matter particle. We show that the minimal higgsino dark matter can offer a common origin for both excesses. The inferred mass splitting, however, depends on the local dark matter velocity distribution, and including the high-velocity tail generated by the gravitational influence of the Large Magellanic Cloud yields $δ_m =481$--$519~\mathrm{keV}$ for $m_χ=1000$--$1183~\mathrm{GeV}$ at $1σ$ level. Near elastic-scattering blind spots, solar-captured higgsinos fail to reach thermal equilibrium, weakening their annihilation signal, so that ten years of IceCube data exclude $δ_m \lesssim 475~\mathrm{keV}$ at 90% C.L. The viable parameter space can be tested through the associated gamma-ray line, which is within the projected reach of CTAO.

Qwen-Music Technical Report

We introduce Qwen-Music, a music generation model that produces high-fidelity songs with complete vocals. It supports text-to-music generation from descriptions, lyrics, and musical attributes, and cover song generation with different styles and vocal characteristics. Qwen-Music comprises three components: Qwen-Music-Tokenizer, Qwen-Music-LLM, and Qwen-Music-Render. The tokenizer compresses audio into a 25 Hz single-codebook stream of Music Semantic Tokens that preserve semantic and melodic information. The LLM performs autoregressive modeling with a melody-token-based chain-of-thought (Melody-CoT) mechanism that plans melodies before full-song generation, improving musicality, structural coherence, and reference-melody preservation. The renderer enriches discrete semantic tokens with acoustic details to produce high-fidelity stereo waveforms. We train the LLM using a quality-aware pre-training curriculum followed by progressive post-training with supervised initialization, offline DPO, and online GSPO to improve musicality and instruction following. On 600 evaluation inputs, Qwen-Music achieves state-of-the-art results in 13 of 16 objective musicality and audio-quality metrics. Professional evaluators also prefer Qwen-Music over leading proprietary systems. For cover generation, Qwen-Music preserves reference melodies more accurately than Suno V5.5, Suno V5, and MiniMax Cover on the AI-generated reference set, and outperforms MiniMax Cover on most metrics on the real-world popular-song reference set.

ActSafeGuard: Differentiable and Training-Aligned Constraint Enforcement for Flow-Matching Policies

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and World-Action Models (WAMs) have demonstrated strong capabilities in general-purpose robotic manipulation, yet their generated actions may violate hard physical constraints and therefore be unsafe or infeasible for deployment. Existing safety approaches either optimize statistical safety objectives without deterministic per-step guarantees or correct unsafe actions only during inference, creating a mismatch between policy training and execution. We introduce ActSafeGuard, a differentiable and training-aligned safeguard layer for flow-matching based policies. ActSafeGuard integrates hard action feasibility into policy learning, not merely treating safety as an inference-time external component. Through an analytical ray-scaling operator design, ActSafeGuard enables boundary-aware gradients to guide the model to naturally learn constrained manifolds. Extensive experiments on multiple standard foundation backbones ($π_{0.5}$ and Fast-WAM) across various tasks demonstrate that ActSafeGuard consistently achieves a $100\%$ step safety rate while fully preserving or even boosting task success rates, providing a scalable and minimally invasive solution for safe embodied AI deployment.

LLM-Enhanced Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Unified Electric Vehicles-Charging Station-Grid Optimization in Public Charging Systems

In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), coordinating connected electric vehicle (EV) charging scheduling to balance EV charging satisfaction, station profitability, and smart grid stability presents a complex multi-objective challenge. Existing Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) approaches often struggle with high-dimensional state spaces generated by massive IoT sensing data and conflicting stakeholder interests. This paper proposes a novel LLM-enhanced MARL framework that, for the first time, simultaneously optimizes the Grid, EVs, and Stations within a unified loop. By integrating Large Language Model (LLM), we address two critical bottlenecks: interpretable feature selection and adaptive multi-objective balancing. The LLM analyzes real-time IoT-collected environmental states to extract physically significant features and dynamically assigns weights to conflicting objectives-including profit, user satisfaction, and grid load-using semantic reasoning instead of complex manual tuning. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework significantly outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, achieving superior market efficiency while reducing training time by over 70%. This approach offers a scalable, transparent solution for efficient and sustainable IoT-enabled urban charging infrastructure management.

AbFlow : End-to-end Paratope-Centric Antibody Design by Interaction Enhanced Flow Matching

Antigen-antibody binding is a critical process in the immune response. Although recent progress has advanced antibody design, current methods lack a generative framework for end-to-end modeling of full-atom antibody structures and struggle to fully exploit antigen-specific geometric information for optimizing local binding interfaces and global structures. To overcome these limitations, we introduce AbFlow, a paratope-restricted one-step flow-matching framework for designing full-atom antibodies end-to-end. AbFlow incorporates an extended velocity field network featuring an equivariant Surface Multi-channel Encoder, which uses surface-level antigen interaction data to refine the antibody structure, particularly the CDR-H3 region. Extensive experiments in paratope-centric antibody design, multi-CDRs and full-atom antibody design, binding affinity optimization, and complex structure prediction show that AbFlow produces superior antigen-antibody complexes, especially at the contact interface, and markedly improves the binding affinity of generated antibodies.

What has the LHC told us about the electroweakino sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model?

We perform global fits of the electroweak sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) using a comprehensive set of LEP searches, 34 Run 2 LHC searches, and 63 Run 2 LHC measurements. Scanning the bino, wino and Higgsino mass parameters, and the ratio of the Higgs vacuum expectation values, we find that for a light, bino $\tildeχ_{1}^0$, the mass of the next-to-lightest neutralino must be $m_{\tildeχ_{2}^0} \gtrsim 760$ GeV. While MSSM electroweakinos can explain individual excesses observed by ATLAS and CMS in searches targeting compressed spectra, we find no scenarios that fit these excesses simultaneously. When we add a light gravitino, neutralinos are further excluded up to about 1 TeV, though this depends on their composition; Higgsino-dominated $\tildeχ_{1}^0$ requires only $m_{\tildeχ_{1}^0} \approx m_{\tildeχ_{2}^0} \gtrsim 650$ GeV. Lastly, the newer LHC searches and measurements exclude a low-mass region that was preferred in a previous study. This is the most complete summary of collider constraints on the electroweakino sector of the MSSM performed to date.

Search for neutrinoless quadruple beta decay of $^{136}$Xe in PandaX-4T detector

The observation of neutrinoless quadruple beta decay (0$ν$4$β$) in the absence of neutrinoless double beta decay (0$ν$2$β$) has been argued to provide a strong indication that neutrinos are Dirac particles. We report a search for 0$ν$4$β$ decay of $^{136}\text{Xe}$ using a total $^{136}\text{Xe}$ exposure of 148.4 kg$\cdot$yr, collected during the commissioning and the first science runs of the PandaX-4T experiment. No significant excess of events over the background is observed. A lower limit on the 0$ν$4$β$ decay half-life of $^{136}\text{Xe}$ is set at 6.01 x $10^{24}$ yr at the 90% confidence level. This result establishes the most stringent constraint on this process in xenon, demonstrating the unique capability of the PandaX-4T detector in probing lepton number violation and shedding light on the fundamental nature of neutrinos.

"Shut Up and Let Me Enjoy My Otome": Understanding and Measuring the Toxicity in Otome Game Communities

Otome games, a romance simulation genre primarily targeting female, have emerged as a major force in the global gaming market, attracting hundreds of millions of players and billions in revenue. Despite their popularity, otome game communities face pervasive online toxicity, which has been largely unexplored. In this work, we present the first large-scale measurement of toxicity in otome game communities across social platforms. We introduce OtomeSCAN, a framework for collecting, evaluating, and analyzing 620,045 posts from Weibo and Reddit spanning 18 months. To support robust analysis, we manually annotated a ground-truth dataset of 4,308 posts, identifying eight target groups such as players and game developers. We evaluate seven toxicity detectors on the dataset, including general-purpose models and our proposed LLM-based detectors, with our best model achieving F1-scores of 0.82 (Weibo) and 0.78 (Reddit). Our analysis reveals significant platform-based differences in toxicity: 22.20% of otome-related posts on Weibo are toxic, compared to 3.71% on Reddit. Besides, real-world events like in-community conflicts can rapidly escalate toxicity, with toxicity ratios increasing to 37.09% in just 72 hours during an external attack on Weibo. We also flag 191 potential-coordination clusters in otome game communities, 64.40% of which target game developers, with several accounts participating repeatedly across multiple clusters. We hope our work inspires further research on community-specific toxicity and contributes to building healthier online spaces for marginalized gaming communities.
