Wulff Rigidity for Overdetermined Anisotropic $k$-Hessian Equations

We establish Wulff rigidity for overdetermined anisotropic $k$-Hessian equations associated with a smooth and strongly convex Finsler gauge. The solutions are subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary and a prescribed anisotropic gradient condition on a smooth domain. We prove that the domain must be a Wulff shape. The same rigidity holds under a prescribed positive weighted Neumann-type condition. These results extend the Wulff rigidity for the endpoint cases $k=1$ (Cianchi--Salani, \emph{Math. Ann.}, 2009; Wang--Xia \emph{Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.}, 2011) and $k=n$ ( Cianchi--Salani, \emph{J. Funct. Anal.}, 2023) to the intermediate cases $2\le k<n$.

Unique Positive Extremals and Sharp Stability Constants for Singular Moser-Trudinger Inequalities

We combine spectral perturbation with orthogonal transformations in $H_0^1(Ω)$ to study singular Moser-Trudinger inequalities under the energy constraint $\int_Ω|\nabla u|^2\,dx\le1$, where $Ω$ is a smooth bounded planar domain containing the origin. For the weight $|x|^{-2β}$, $0\leβ<1$, the positive maximizer is unique for small $α>0$, and the sharp global stability constant satisfies \[ C_α=\fracα{2} \left(\frac1{μ_1}-\frac1{μ_2}\right)+O(α^2), \qquad α\downarrow0, \] where $μ_1<μ_2$ are the first two weighted Dirichlet eigenvalues. We compute the second asymptotic coefficient by a weighted quartic maximization on the second eigenspace, even when the second eigenvalue is multiple. An exact reduction to the sphere orthogonal to the maximizer identifies the attaining functions and yields a limiting global-to-local ratio of $1/2$. On the disk, the energy derivative with respect to the central value characterizes radial constrained degeneracy and yields finitely many exceptional normalized parameters. Combined with known critical uniqueness and nondegeneracy, this gives uniform quadratic stability near criticality, while compactness and analytic reduction yield finite-power stability throughout the admissible range.

Threshold Attainment and Sharp Asymptotics for $L^p$-Perturbed Moser--Trudinger Functionals on $\mathbb{R}^2$

In this paper, we study the critical Moser--Trudinger supremum \[ S(λ,p) = \sup_{\substack{ u\in H^1(\mathbb{R}^2)\\ \int_{\mathbb{R}^2} (|\nabla u|^2+u^2)\,dx\le 1 }} \int_{\mathbb{R}^2} \left(e^{4πu^2}-1-λ|u|^p\right)\,dx, \qquad p\ge 2. \] Building on the classification away from the thresholds by Chen, Jiang, Lu and Zhu (2026), we resolve the endpoint cases: both thresholds for $p=2$ and the finite threshold for $2 4$, we quantify how extremals spread out as $λ\to\infty$ by establishing the two-term expansion \[ S(λ,p)=4π+\mathcal C_pλ^{-2/(p-4)} +D_pλ^{-4/(p-4)}+o\bigl(λ^{-4/(p-4)}\bigr), \] Here $\mathcal C_p$ is the maximum of a limiting variational problem at unit $L^2$ mass. An explicit correction involving the sixth moment and the full $H^1$ normalization determines $D_p$ and selects the limiting maximizers. Rescaled centred radial extremals converge strongly to these profiles in $H^1(\mathbb{R}^2)$ along subsequences. For every fixed $λ>λ_*(4)$, we further establish \[ \lim_{p\downarrow4}(p-4)\log\bigl(S(λ,p)-4π\bigr) =2\log\frac{λ_{\mathrm{loc}}}λ<0, \] where $λ_{\mathrm{loc}}$ is the local critical penalty determined by the sharp Gagliardo--Nirenberg constant. The gradient energy has the same logarithmic rate, and the centred radial profiles, normalized in mass and gradient energy, converge along subsequences to sharp Gagliardo--Nirenberg optimizers. An exact transfer identity extends these endpoint and asymptotic results to every constant planar norm.

Sharp Signed Mass and Rigidity for Critical Finsler--Liouville Equations

We study bounded-above entire solutions of critical Finsler--Liouville equations with a possibly sign-changing prescribed function and finite absolute mass. Under a lower cone-growth condition, we establish a sharp signed-mass bound without upper growth or monotonicity assumptions. With an additional growth condition, annular compactness for a sequence of dilations yields Pohozaev boundary limits and rigidity for radially nonincreasing prescribed functions. Explicit examples show that the rigidity threshold is optimal. In the Euclidean plane, the mass estimate also gives a sharp obstruction to completeness.

On the existence problem for a double mean field equation and its application to prescribed curvature problems

Let $(M,g)$ be a compact Riemann surface with smooth boundary $\partial M$. Let $K(x)>0$, $h(x)> 0$ or $h(x)\equiv 0$ be two smooth functions on $M$ and $\partial M$ respectively. In this paper, we consider the following double mean field type equation with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition related to a prescribed curvature problem \begin{equation}\label{equation:01} \begin{cases} \displaystyle -Δ_g u+\frac{4π}{|M|} =2ρ\frac{Ke^u}{\int_MKe^u\,dv_g}, & \text{in }M,\\[1.2em] \displaystyle \partial_νu =2ρ'\frac{he^{u/2}}{\int_{\partial M}he^{u/2}\,ds_g}, & \text{on }\partial M, \end{cases} \end{equation} where $ρ> 0,\ ρ'\geq 0$ and $ρ+ρ'=2π$, $ν$ is the outward unit normal vector to $\partial M$. When $h\equiv 0$, the second equation changes to $\partial_νu=0$ on $\partial M$. By introducing a boundary integration constant, we obtain a sufficient condition under which \eqref{equation:01} admits a solution. As a geometric application, we solve the prescribed curvature equation for both the Gauss curvature and the geodesic curvature in the case that $M$ is topologically a disk. When $(M,g)$ is the standard hemisphere $\mathbb S^2_+$, let $p\in \partial \mathbb S^2_+$ be a maximum point of $$ Φ(q)=h(q)+\sqrt{h(q)^2+K(q)}, \qquad q\in\partial \mathbb S^2_+. $$ Suppose \begin{equation*} K_ν(p)+2Φ(p)(-Δ_{\partial \mathbb S^2_+})^{1/2}h(p)<0. \end{equation*} Then the prescribed curvature problem \begin{align*} -Δ_g u+\frac{4π}{|M|}=2Ke^u, \text{in }\mathbb S^2_+,\ \ \partial_νu=2he^{u/2}, \text{on }\partial \mathbb S^2_+. \end{align*} admits a smooth solution.

Extremals and Thresholds for Critical Singular Anisotropic Moser-Trudinger Inequalities

For $N\ge2$, $0<β 1$, we study maximizers of the critical singular anisotropic Moser--Trudinger integral \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^N} \frac{Φ_{N,q,β} (λ_N(1-β/N)|u|^{N/(N-1)})} {F^o(x)^β}\,\mathrm{d}x, \qquad \|F(\nabla u)\|_N^a+\|u\|_q^b\le 1. \] where $a>0$, $0 0$ when $b 0$ if $1 1$, $q_-\le q N$ and attainment holds if and only if $0<a\le a_c$. An exact Euclidean reduction shows that the threshold is independent of the anisotropy. The proof combines critical--subcritical scaling with a nonlinear Green-function concentration bound. Radial flux and Pohozaev identities determine the first correction to the subcritical supremum, and refined Green tests give the strict comparison needed for attainment at the finite threshold, including in dimension two.

Abelian composition factors of finite rational groups

Motivated by an observation concerning the $S_3$-conjecture, we prove that every abelian composition factor of a finite rational group has order $2$, $3$, or $5$. Thompson previously restricted these orders to $\{2,3,5,7,11\}$; we exclude $7$ and $11$, establishing the bound that he proposed. Together with the work of Feit and Seitz on nonabelian composition factors, this completes the determination of the possible composition factors of finite rational groups.

Electron-affinity difference distributions as an organizing principle for superconductivity, enabling the discovery of PtPb$_3$Bi

Predicting the superconducting transition temperature ($T_c$) from crystal structure and composition remains a central challenge in condensed-matter physics, reflecting the absence of a broadly predictive framework connecting microscopic bonding to macroscopic quantum behavior. Here, we introduce $\mathcal{GP}$-$T_c$, an interpretable, structure- and chemistry-aware Gaussian process model that enables uncertainty-quantified $T_c$ prediction from experimentally accessible inputs. By encoding local bonding environments as graphlet histograms, we find that the predictive space collapses to a compact set of descriptors: the distribution of electron-affinity (EA) differences between neighboring atoms, together with interatomic distances and simple elemental features, suffices to predict $T_c$ across disparate superconducting families---identifying an overlooked chemical control parameter that underscores the essential role of local structure beyond composition-only approaches. Our results demonstrate that the EA differences serves as an accessible window into electronic structure providing a mechanism-agnostic physical basis that captures $T_c$ across conventional and unconventional families, including doped charge transfer insulators. $\mathcal{GP}$-$T_c$ reproduces the experimentally reported $T_c$ range of the infinite-layer nickelate Nd$_{0.8}$Sr$_{0.2}$NiO$_2$, and we predict and experimentally confirm superconductivity in stoichiometric PtPb$_3$Bi ($T_c \approx 3$~K). To facilitate broad community use, $\mathcal{GP}$-$T_c$ is made available through a web interface for crystal-structure-based prediction, and the same framework identifies additional high-priority superconducting candidates---including SrNiO$_2$ and K(PRh)$_2$---that provide concrete targets for ongoing and future experimental exploration.

Graphlet Histogram Representation Database of Inorganic Crystals

Machine learning models for materials property prediction increasingly rely on representations learned end-to-end from large density-functional-theory databases, limiting their applicability when only scarce experimental data are available. Domain-knowledge-driven representations precomputed from crystal structures alone offer a data-efficient, interpretable alternative, but existing approaches capture at most composition or bonding connectivity and discard local structural geometry. Here, we present Graphlet-MP, a database of graphlet histogram representations for 149,082 inorganic crystals from the Materials Project (MP). Seventy-nine distributions describe each material over three hierarchical graphlet orders: atomic sites, bonded pairs, and bond-angle triplets, extracted via screened Voronoi tessellation from the crystallographic information file. We provide a complete technical specification of the representation, an Earth Mover's Distance metric for comparing materials in this space, and the full precomputed database. An accompanying open-source codebase enables users to generate graphlet histograms for arbitrary crystal structures, including experimentally determined ones, and to extend the database to new materials or target properties.

Non-solvable groups whose non-linear character degrees have the same number of different prime divisors

By a result of Noritzsch, a finite solvable group whose non-linear character degrees have the same set of prime divisors is meta-abelian. In this note we investigate finite non-solvable groups whose non-linear character degrees have the same number of different prime divisors, and show that up to an abelian direct factor, such groups are exactly $L_2(4), L_2(8), A_7, S_7$, the central product of a cyclic $3$-group with $3.A_7$, or the semi-direct product of $A_7$ by a cyclic $2$-group $\langle a\rangle$ such that $a$ non-trivially acts on $A_7$ by conjugation. As consequence, we show that only the primes $2,3,5,7$ may occur as prime divisors of their irreducible character degrees, and that Huppert's $ρ$-$σ$ conjecture holds for them.

Ultrafast μeV-Precision Bandgap Engineering in Low-Dimensional Topological Insulators

Precise and ultrafast control of electronic band structures is a central challenge for advancing quantum functional materials and devices. Conventional approaches--such as chemical doping, lattice strain, or external gating--offer robust stability but remain confined to the quasi-static regime, far from the intrinsic femto- to picosecond dynamics that govern many-body interactions. Here, using cryogenic transient reflectance spectroscopy, we realize dynamic bandgap engineering in the anisotropic topological insulator $α$-Bi$_4$Br$_4$ with unprecedented micro-electron-volt ($μ$eV) precision. The exceptional sensitivity arises from the cooperative action of long-lived topological carriers, stabilized by restricted bulk-to-edge scattering phase space, together with symmetry-resolved coherent phonons that modulate inter-chain hopping. These channels jointly modify Coulomb screening and interband transitions, enabling both gradual and oscillatory control of the electronic structure. Supported by first-principles and tight-binding theory, we further demonstrate a dual-pump coherent control strategy for continuous, mode-selective tuning of electronic energies with $μ$eV accuracy. This framework paves the way for ultrafast on-demand band-structure engineering, pointing toward new frontiers in quantum optoelectronics, precision measurement in molecular and biological systems, and attosecond control of matter.

Existence of extremal functions and Wulff symmetry for anisotropic Trudinger-Moser inequalities

In this paper, we investigate the extremal functions for anisotropic Trudinger-Moser inequalities. Our method uses convex symmetrization, the continuity of the supremum function, together with the relation between the supremums of the subcritical and the critical anisotropic Trudinger-Moser inequality, we give some results of existence and symmetry about the extremal functions for several different types of anisotropic Trudinger-Moser inequalities.

Unlocking Mixed Reality for Medical Education: A See-Through Perspective on Head Anatomy

Extended reality (XR), encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), is emerging as a transformative platform for medical education. Traditional methods such as textbooks, physical models, and cadaveric dissections often lack interactivity and fail to convey complex spatial relationships effectively. The emerging MR technology addresses these limitations by providing immersive environments that blend virtual elements with real-world contexts. This study presents an MR application for head anatomy education, enabling learners to intuitively interact with see-through 3D anatomical structures via hand gestures and controllers. Our hierarchical information design supports progressive learning, guiding users from basic anatomical labels to detailed structural insights. Additionally, the system incorporates an automatic calibration module that aligns virtual anatomical models with a real human head, thereby facilitating realistic human-model interactions. Experiments show that the system can effectively match the anatomical model with real-time scenes, thus enhancing the interactivity and immersion of medical education, providing an innovative tool for teaching anatomy.

Medical-Knowledge Driven Multiple Instance Learning for Classifying Severe Abdominal Anomalies on Prenatal Ultrasound

Fetal abdominal malformations are serious congenital anomalies that require accurate diagnosis to guide pregnancy management and reduce mortality. Although AI has demonstrated significant potential in medical diagnosis, its application to prenatal abdominal anomalies remains limited. Most existing studies focus on image-level classification and rely on standard plane localization, placing less emphasis on case-level diagnosis. In this paper, we develop a case-level multiple instance learning (MIL)-based method, free of standard plane localization, for classifying fetal abdominal anomalies in prenatal ultrasound. Our contribution is three-fold. First, we adopt a mixture-of-attention-experts module (MoAE) to weight different attention heads for various planes. Secondly, we propose a medical-knowledge-driven feature selection module (MFS) to align image features with medical knowledge, performing self-supervised image token selection at the case-level. Finally, we propose a prompt-based prototype learning (PPL) to enhance the MFS. Extensively validated on a large prenatal abdominal ultrasound dataset containing 2,419 cases, with a total of 24,748 images and 6 categories, our proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art competitors. Codes are available at:https://github.com/LL-AC/AAcls.

Normalized solutions on large smooth domains to the Schrödinger equations with potential and combined nonlinearities: The Sobolev critical case

In this paper, we consider the existence and multiplicity of prescribed mass solutions to the following nonlinear Schrodinger equations with mixed nonlinearities. The standard approach based on the Pohozaev identity to obtain normalized solutions is invalid as the presence of potential. Besides, Our study can be regarded as a Sobolev critical case complement of Bartsch-Qi-Zou (Math Ann 390, 4813-4859, 2024), which has addressed an open problem raised in Bartsch et al.(Commun Partial Differ Equ 46(9):1729--1756,2021).

Singular Trudinger--Moser inequality involving $L^{p}$ norm in bounded domain

In this paper, we use the method of blow-up analysis and capacity estimate to derive the singular Trudinger--Moser inequality involving $N$-Finsler--Laplacian and $L^{p}$ norm, precisely, for any $p>1$, $0\leqγ<γ_{1}:= \inf\limits_{u\in W^{1, N}_{0}(Ω)\backslash \{0\}}\frac{\int_ΩF^{N}(\nabla u)dx}{\| u\|_p^N}$ and $0\leqβ<N$, we have \begin{align} \sup_{u\in W_{0}^{1,N}(Ω),\;\int_ΩF^{N}(\nabla u)dx-γ\| u\|_p^N\leq1}\int_Ω\frac{e^{λ_{N}(1-\fracβ{N})\lvert u\rvert^{\frac{N}{N-1}}}}{F^{o}(x)^β}\;\mathrm{d}x<+\infty\notag, \end{align} where $λ_{N}=N^{\frac{N}{N-1}} κ_{N}^{\frac{1}{N-1}}$ and $κ_{N}$ is the volume of a unit Wulff ball in $\mathbb{R}^N$, moreover, extremal functions for the inequality are also obtained. When $F=\lvert\cdot\rvert$ and $p=N$, we can obtain the singular version of Tintarev type inequality by the obove inequality, namely, for any $0\leqα<α_{1}(Ω):=\inf\limits_{u\in W^{1, N}_{0}(Ω)\backslash \{0\}}\frac{\int_Ω|\nabla u|^Ndx}{\| u\|_N^N}$ and $0\leqβ<N$, it holds $$ \sup_{u\in W_{0}^{1,N}(Ω),\;\int_Ω\lvert\nabla u\rvert^{N}\;\mathrm{d}x-α\|u\|_{N}^{N}\leq1}\int_Ω\frac{e^{α_{N}(1-\fracβ{N})\lvert u\rvert^{\frac{N}{N-1}}}}{\lvert x\rvert^β}\;\mathrm{d}x<+\infty, $$ where $α_{N}:=N^{\frac{N}{N-1}}ω_{N}^{\frac{1}{N-1}}$ and $ ω_{N}$ is the volume of unit ball in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$. Our results extend many well-known Trudinger--Moser type inequalities to more general setting.

Black-box Optimization Algorithms for Regularized Least-squares Problems

We consider the problem of optimizing the sum of a smooth, nonconvex function for which derivatives are unavailable, and a convex, nonsmooth function with easy-to-evaluate proximal operator. Of particular focus is the case where the smooth part has a nonlinear least-squares structure. We adapt two existing approaches for derivative-free optimization of nonsmooth compositions of smooth functions to this setting. Our main contribution is adapting our algorithm to handle inexactly computed stationary measures, where the inexactness is adaptively adjusted as required by the algorithm (where previous approaches assumed access to exact stationary measures, which is not realistic in this setting). Numerically, we provide two extensions of the state-of-the-art DFO-LS solver for nonlinear least-squares problems and demonstrate their strong practical performance.
