Video-HolmesV2: Can MLLMs Reason with Spatio-Temporal Audio-Visual Evidence in Long Videos?

Multimodal Large Language Models have demonstrated impressive video understanding, yet their ability to reason over long-form narratives is often masked by visual-centric evaluations and inefficient context processing. Existing benchmarks over-rely on visual heuristics while marginalizing auditory cues, effectively reducing models to "silent observers" that bypass genuine cross-modal reasoning. Moreover, standard dense sampling creates an evidence-context trade-off: increasing frames to capture evidence inevitably leads to attention distraction and token explosion. To bridge these gaps, we present Video-HolmesV2, a novel benchmark designed for Deep Audio-Visual Coupling. Unlike previous works, it enforces an Evidence-Based Evaluation, requiring models to justify answers with precise spatio-temporal audio-visual evidence, thereby reducing confounding effects of guessing and hallucinated evidence. To support this, we introduce: (1) a Multi-Model Cross-Verification pipeline to ensure task rigor; (2) a Spatio-temporal Evidence-Aware Metric for fine-grained calibration. Furthermore, we propose an Audio-Text Guided Token Compression framework. By fusing task intent with auditory anchors, our method distills high-value reasoning cues to mitigate long-context noise. In our evaluation, even strong proprietary models achieve below 60% accuracy, while our approach outperforms comparable open-source omni-models.

Long-Tail Adaptive Flow Matching with Explicit Conditional Consistency Guidance for Precise Multimodal Face Synthesis

Although diffusion-based methods have substantially improved the controllability of multimodal face synthesis, their semantic alignment remains suboptimal because most existing approaches rely on implicit latent-space objectives to model the relationship between denoising variables and multimodal conditions. Such implicit modeling is often insufficient to enforce precise correspondence between synthesized faces and conditional inputs, especially under long-tailed semantic mask distributions where rare attributes receive weak optimization signals. To address these limitations, we propose EC\textsuperscript{2}Face, a multimodal face synthesis framework that improves semantic alignment through explicit semantic supervision and distribution-aware optimization. First, we introduce Explicit Conditional Consistency Guidance (ECCG), which imposes direct consistency supervision in pixel space by decoding an approximate reverse estimate of the clean latent and explicitly aligning the synthesized image with textual descriptions and semantic masks. A temporal dynamic modulation function is further designed to adapt the supervision strength according to the timestep-dependent reliability of reverse estimation. Second, we propose Long-Tail Adaptive Flow Matching (LAFM), which reweights spatial optimization signals based on semantic attribute frequency, with normalized weights to maintain numerical stability during training. Importantly, all additional modules are used only during training and introduce no extra inference overhead. Extensive experiments show that EC\textsuperscript{2}Face consistently outperforms competitive baselines in both generation quality and semantic alignment, achieving a 29.38\% improvement in mask accuracy on rare attributes.

LiveVVT: High-Fidelity Video Virtual Try-On in Real Time

Diffusion-based Video Virtual Try-On (VVT) achieves high visual fidelity through bidirectional spatio-temporal modeling, but complete-clip dependence incurs prohibitive latency and computational overhead in practical continuous deployment. Naively enforcing causality disrupts pretrained bidirectional priors and substantially degrades synthesis quality. We introduce LiveVVT, a rolling streaming diffusion framework that preserves bounded bidirectional modeling within causal recurrent generation. Within a fixed-size window, LiveVVT jointly denoises multiple video chunks under bounded look-ahead, preserving local bidirectional interactions while emitting one clean chunk per iteration. Beyond the window, two complementary memories sustain long-term consistency: a bounded temporal memory propagates recent dynamics and occlusion context, whereas a persistent global appearance memory, constructed once from the target garment and a frontal try-on keyframe, anchors garment details and dressed appearance throughout the stream. We further introduce a progressive distillation framework integrating bidirectional VVT learning, teacher-trajectory regression for causal few-step adaptation, and Collaborative Matching Distillation, which couples teacher-distribution matching with rolling flow matching on real videos to align optimization with recurrent inference. Experiments on paired and unpaired long-sequence benchmarks demonstrate superior generation quality over similarly sized models, with $26\times$ lower latency and $11\times$ higher throughput, enabling high-fidelity real-time streaming VVT.

Multivariate Diffusion Transformer with Decoupled Attention for High-Fidelity Mask-Text Collaborative Facial Generation

While significant progress has been achieved in multimodal facial generation using semantic masks and textual descriptions, conventional feature fusion approaches often fail to enable effective cross-modal interactions, thereby leading to suboptimal generation outcomes. To address this challenge, we introduce MDiTFace--a customized diffusion transformer framework that employs a unified tokenization strategy to process semantic mask and text inputs, eliminating discrepancies between heterogeneous modality representations. The framework facilitates comprehensive multimodal feature interaction through stacked, newly designed multivariate transformer blocks that process all conditions synchronously. Additionally, we design a novel decoupled attention mechanism by dissociating implicit dependencies between mask tokens and temporal embeddings. This mechanism segregates internal computations into dynamic and static pathways, enabling caching and reuse of features computed in static pathways after initial calculation, thereby reducing additional computational overhead introduced by mask condition by over 94% while maintaining performance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MDiTFace significantly outperforms other competing methods in terms of both facial fidelity and conditional consistency.

UniVVT: A Unified End-to-End Framework for High-Fidelity Video Virtual Try-on

Video Virtual Try-On (VVT) synthesizes a video of a person wearing a target garment while preserving identity, motion, and scene dynamics. Dominant approaches cast VVT as mask-conditioned video inpainting and rely on separate modules for human parsing, pose estimation, and garment warping. This multi-stage design complicates deployment and, more critically, allows errors in explicit geometric priors to propagate irreversibly into the generated video. We present UniVVT, a unified end-to-end framework that reframes VVT as semantically conditioned video generation, eliminating mask, pose, and warping modules at inference. At its core, a scene-task perceiver built on a Multimodal Large Language Model jointly encodes the source video, target garment, and task instruction into compact, task-aware latent tokens, implicitly capturing what to transfer and where and how to transfer it. A lightweight semantic bridge then aligns these tokens with the conditioning space of a diffusion-based video generator, enabling coherent garment transfer. To robustly couple the heterogeneous components, we devise a three-stage progressive training strategy comprising semantic alignment, joint task adaptation, and flexible-resolution refinement. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniVVT achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks, validating implicit semantic guidance as a simple and effective alternative to fragile geometric preprocessing for end-to-end virtual try-on.

LaP-Forensics: Latent-Pixel Consistency Guided Multimodal Reasoning for Deepfake Detection

Recent generative models can produce images with few obvious visual artifacts, weakening detectors and explanations that rely only on surface appearance. We present LaP-Forensics, a multimodal framework that augments RGB semantics with reconstruction-based forensic evidence. A frozen Stable Diffusion DDIM inversion-reconstruction model provides a fixed reconstruction reference, and its residual map measures local compatibility with that reference. Independent projectors encode the RGB image and residual map before a structured Where-What-Why model predicts a textual analysis and an artifact mask.Supervised fine-tuning is followed by Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), whose reward combines mask overlap with output-structure and evidence-reference terms. These text-side terms encourage the model to refer to the consistency map but do not constitute a verifier of free-form textual truth. A separate image-level head fuses RGB and DDIM-residual class features. Experiments show cross-generator detection on UniversalFakeDetect and competitive artifact localization on the official SynthScars benchmark. Controlled cue-construction, inversion-horizon, component, reward-term, and counterfactual analyses support the utility of the residual stream under the evaluated settings, while free-form textual faithfulness and reliability under post-processing remain open limitations.

Self-Training with Dynamic Weighting for Robust Gradual Domain Adaptation

In this paper, we propose a new method called Self-Training with Dynamic Weighting (STDW), which aims to enhance robustness in Gradual Domain Adaptation (GDA) by addressing the challenge of smooth knowledge migration from the source to the target domain. Traditional GDA methods mitigate domain shift through intermediate domains and self-training but often suffer from inefficient knowledge migration or incomplete intermediate data. Our approach introduces a dynamic weighting mechanism that adaptively balances the loss contributions of the source and target domains during training. Specifically, we design an optimization framework governed by a time-varying hyperparameter $\varrho$ (progressing from 0 to 1), which controls the strength of domain-specific learning and ensures stable adaptation. The method leverages self-training to generate pseudo-labels and optimizes a weighted objective function for iterative model updates, maintaining robustness across intermediate domains. Experiments on rotated MNIST, color-shifted MNIST, portrait datasets, and the Cover Type dataset demonstrate that STDW outperforms existing baselines. Ablation studies further validate the critical role of $\varrho$'s dynamic scheduling in achieving progressive adaptation, confirming its effectiveness in reducing domain bias and improving generalization. This work provides both theoretical insights and a practical framework for robust gradual domain adaptation, with potential applications in dynamic real-world scenarios. The code is available at https://github.com/Dramwig/STDW.

Mixture of Global and Local Experts with Diffusion Transformer for Controllable Face Generation

Controllable face generation poses critical challenges in generative modeling due to the intricate balance required between semantic controllability and photorealism. While existing approaches struggle with disentangling semantic controls from generation pipelines, we revisit the architectural potential of Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) through the lens of expert specialization. This paper introduces Face-MoGLE, a novel framework featuring: (1) Semantic-decoupled latent modeling through mask-conditioned space factorization, enabling precise attribute manipulation; (2) A mixture of global and local experts that captures holistic structure and region-level semantics for fine-grained controllability; (3) A dynamic gating network producing time-dependent coefficients that evolve with diffusion steps and spatial locations. Face-MoGLE provides a powerful and flexible solution for high-quality, controllable face generation, with strong potential in generative modeling and security applications. Extensive experiments demonstrate its effectiveness in multimodal and monomodal face generation settings and its robust zero-shot generalization capability.
