Quantum function algebras as quantum enveloping algebras

Inspired by a result in [Ga], we locate two $ k[q,q^{-1}] $-integer forms of $ F_q[SL(n+1)] $, along with a presentation by generators and relations, and prove that for $ q=1 $ they specialize to $ U({\mathfrak{h}}) $, where $ {\mathfrak{h}} $ is the Lie bialgebra of the Poisson Lie group $ H $ dual of $ SL(n+1) $; moreover, we explain the relation with [loc. cit.]. In sight of this, we prove two PBW-like theorems for $ F_q[SL(n+1)] $, both related to the classical PBW theorem for $ U({\mathfrak{h}}) $.

A PBW basis for Lusztig's form of untwisted affine quantum groups

Let $ \mathfrak{g} $ be an untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra over the field $ K \, $, and let $ U_q(\mathfrak{g}) $ be the associated quantum enveloping algebra; let $ \mathfrak{U}_q(g) $ be the Lusztig's integer form of $ U_q(\mathfrak{g}) \, $, generated by $ q $-divided powers of Chevalley generators over a suitable subring $ R $ of $ K(q) \, $. We prove a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt like theorem for $ \mathfrak{U}_q(\mathfrak{g}) \, $, yielding a basis over $ R $ made of ordered products of $ q $-divided powers of suitable quantum root vectors.

Universal R-matrix Of The Super Yangian Double DY(gl(1|1))

Based on Drinfeld realization of super Yangian Double DY(gl(1|1)), its pairing relations and universal R-matrix are given. By taking evaluation representation of universal R-matrix, another realization $L^{\pm}(u)$ of DY(gl(1|1)) is obtained. These two realizations of DY(gl(1|1)) are related by the supersymmetric extension of Ding-Frenkel map.

The general solution of the quantum Einstein equations?

We suggest how to interpret the action of the quantum Hamiltonian constraint of general relativity in the loop representation as a skein relation on the space of knots. Therefore, by considering knot polynomials that are compatible with that skein relation, one guarantees that all the quantum Einstein equations are solved. We give a particular example of such invariant and discuss the consistency of the constraint algebra in this approach.

On some nonlinear extensions of the angular momentum algebra

Deformations of the Lie algebras so(4), so(3,1), and e(3) that leave their so(3) subalgebra undeformed and preserve their coset structure are considered. It is shown that such deformed algebras are associative for any choice of the deformation parameters. Their Casimir operators are obtained and some of their unitary irreducible representations are constructed. For vanishing deformation, the latter go over into those of the corresponding Lie algebras that contain each of the so(3) unitary irreducible representations at most once. It is also proved that similar deformations of the Lie algebras su(3), sl(3,R), and of the semidirect sum of an abelian algebra t(5) and so(3) do not lead to associative algebras.

Universal $R$--matrices for non-standard (1+1) quantum groups

A universal quasitriangular $R$--matrix for the non-standard quantum (1+1) Poincaré algebra $U_ziso(1,1)$ is deduced by imposing analyticity in the deformation parameter $z$. A family $g_μ$ of ``quantum graded contractions" of the algebra $U_ziso(1,1)\oplus U_{-z}iso(1,1)$ is obtained; this set of quantum algebras contains as Hopf subalgebras with two primitive translations quantum analogues of the two dimensional Euclidean, Poincaré and Galilei algebras enlarged with dilations. Universal $R$--matrices for these quantum Weyl algebras and their associated quantum groups are constructed.

Poincare'-Birkhoff-Witt property for bicovariant differential algebras on simple quantum groups

We investigate the possibility to construct bicovariant differential calculi on quantum groups SO_q(N) and Sp_q(N) as a quantization of an underlying bicovariant bracket. We show that, opposite to GL(N) and SL(N)-cases, neither of possible graded SO- and Sp- bicovariant brackets (associated with a quasitriangular r-matrices) obey the Jacobi identity when the differential forms are Lie algebra- valued. The absence of a classical Poisson structure gives an indication that differential algebras describing bicovariant differential calculi on quantum orthogonal and symplectic groups are not of Poincar'e- Birkhoff- -Witt type.

Characteristic Relations for Quantum Matrices

General algebraic properties of the algebras of vector fields over quantum linear groups $GL_q(N)$ and $SL_q(N)$ are studied. These quantum algebras appears to be quite similar to the classical matrix algebra. In particular, quantum analogues of the characteristic polynomial and characteristic identity are obtained for them. The $q$-analogues of the Newton relations connecting two different generating sets of central elements of these algebras (the determinant-like and the trace-like ones) are derived. This allows one to express the $q$-determinant of quantized vector fields in terms of their $q$-traces.

Representations of U_q(sl(N)) at Roots of Unity

The Gelfand--Zetlin basis for representations of $U_q(sl(N))$ is improved to fit better the case when $q$ is a root of unity. The usual $q$-deformed representations, as well as the nilpotent, periodic (cyclic), semi-periodic (semi-cyclic) and also some atypical representations are now described with the same formalism.

A Labelling Scheme for Higher Dimensional Simplex Equations

We present a succinct way of obtaining all possible higher dimensional generalization of Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation (QYBE). Using the scheme, we could generate the two popular three-simplex equations, namely: Zamolodchikov's tetrahedron equation (ZTE) and Frenkel and Moore equation (FME).

Generalization of the $h$-Deformation to Higher Dimensions

In this article we construct $GL_{h}(3)$ from $GL_{q}(3)$ by a singular map. We show that there exist two singular maps which map $GL_{q}(3)$ to new quantum groups. We also construct their $R$-matrices and will show although the maps are singular but their $R$-matrices are not. Then we generalize these singular maps to the case $GL(N)$ and for $C_{n}$ series.

Quantum Jacobi-Trudi and Giambelli Formulae for $U_q(B_r^{(1)})$ from Analytic Bethe Ansatz

Analytic Bethe ansatz is executed for a wide class of finite dimensional $U_q(B^{(1)}_r)$ modules. They are labeled by skew-Young diagrams which, in general, contain a fragment corresponding to the spin representation. For the transfer matrix spectra of the relevant vertex models, we establish a number of formulae, which are $U_q(B^{(1)}_r)$ analogues of the classical ones due to Jacobi-Trudi and Giambelli on Schur functions. They yield a full solution to the previously proposed functional relation ($T$-system), which is a Toda equation

Bethe Ansatz for higher spin eight vertex models

A generalization of the eight vertex model by means of higher spin representations of the Sklyanin algebra is investigated by the quantum inverse scattering method and the algebraic Bethe Ansatz. Under the well-known string hypothesis low-lying excited states are considered and scattering phase shifts of two physical particles are calculated. The $S$ matrix of two particle states is shown to be proportional to the Baxter's elliptic $R$ matrix with a different elliptic modulus from the original one.

Two-State Spectral-Free Solutions of Frenkel-Moore Simplex Equation

Whilst many solutions have been found for the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation (QYBE), there are fewer known solutions available for its higher dimensional generalizations: Zamolodchikov's tetrahedron equation (ZTE) and Frenkel and Moore's simplex equation (FME). In this paper, we present families of solutions to FME which may help us to understand more about higher dimensional generalization of QYBE.

Comment on ``Generalized $q$-oscillators and their Hopf structures''

In a recent paper (1994 {\sl J.\ Phys.\ A: Math.\ Gen.\ }{\bf 27} 5907), Oh and Singh determined a Hopf structure for a generalized $q$-oscillator algebra. We prove that under some general assumptions, the latter is, apart from some algebras isomorphic to su$_q$(2), su$_q$(1,1), or their undeformed counterparts, the only generalized deformed oscillator algebra that supports a Hopf structure. We show in addition that the latter can be equipped with a universal $\cR$-matrix, thereby making it into a quasitriangular Hopf algebra.
