Commuting Families of Flag Quasideterminants in Reflection Equation Algebras of Type A

Abstract

We consider a family of northeastern antidiagonal quasideterminants associated with the successive blocks of the generating matrix of a reflection equation (RE) algebra of type $A_{n-1}$. Our main result proves the conjecture on their pairwise commutativity formulated earlier. The proof uses the triangular realization of the RE algebra in a quantum enveloping algebra and the flag property of quasideterminants. We also discuss the interpretation of these elements in terms of quantum cluster coordinates and their possible connection with generalized Toda systems.

Hyperelliptic sigma solutions of polynomial Hamiltonian systems

We study polynomial Hamiltonian systems whose Hamiltonians consist of two weighted products of canonical modes minus a polynomial in their powers. This class extends the structure of familiar genus-one coupled-mode systems from nonlinear optics. We construct local analytic solutions in terms of sigma functions and Abelian integrals on smooth odd-degree hyperelliptic curves, subject to stated regularity conditions. We associate Onishi's determinant identities with the conservation-law structure of these systems, extending the connection previously identified between Frobenius-Stickelberger determinants and conserved quantities in genus-one nonlinear optics. Explicit genus-two and genus-three examples include bounded oscillatory scalar motion. We also classify the Hamiltonian polynomials that eliminate the additional mode exponentials and show that their elementary modes solve second-order equations with self-generating polynomial potentials. We evaluate the solutions using Generapy, a purpose-built Python package for algebraic curves and Abelian functions, and validate them against independent fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration.

Integrable turbulence and statistical properties of chaotic wave fields in the complex modified Korteweg-de Vries equation

This paper investigates integrable turbulence and the mechanism for generating rogue waves in the complex modified Korteweg--de Vries (mKdV) equation through numerical simulations and statistical analysis. We solve the Lax pair eigenvalue problem using the Fourier collocation method and establish a correspondence among solitons, breathers, and rogue waves on the spectral plane. We generate chaotic wave fields by simulating the complex mKdV equation using the split-step Fourier method, starting from a plane wave with superimposed random noise. We analyze the effects of the standard deviation \(μ\) and the correlation length \(L_c\). The results show that increasing \(μ\) drives a transition from breather turbulence to soliton turbulence, increasing the probability of rogue-wave generation. In contrast, \(L_c\) primarily influences the spatial scale of the structures. As the constant background of the complex mKdV equation is modulationally stable, its integrable turbulence does not depend on modulational instability. Compared with the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation under identical initial conditions, the complex mKdV equation attains comparable amplitudes under strong perturbations, but exhibits a higher spatial gradient. This suggests that third-order dispersion and derivative nonlinearity alter the excitation mechanism and steepen the waveform.

The gauge action on semi-discrete Lax representations, its invariants, and Lax-Miura type constructions

We introduce and study explicit invariants with respect to the action of (local) gauge transformations on the set of semi-discrete (differential-difference) matrix Lax representations (MLRs) for a given (1+1)-dimensional evolutionary differential-difference equation with any number of components. Using these invariants, we obtain the following general results: - Sufficient conditions for nonremovability of parameters in semi-discrete MLRs. (Nonremovability by means of gauge transformations.) - Necessary conditions for two semi-discrete MLRs to be gauge equivalent. Effective use of these results is demonstrated. We present the general theory and apply it to MLRs for equations of Volterra--Yamilov, Cherdantsev--Yamilov, Toda types and Miura-type modifications. Also, we present a comparison with results of S. Yu. Sakovich and M. Marvan on gauge invariants for (continuous) zero-curvature representations of partial differential equations. Furthermore, we demonstrate procedures for constructing Miura-type transformations (MTs) for discrete (partial difference) equations (on the two-dimensional integer lattice) by means of gauge simplifications of discrete matrix Lax pairs (DLPs) and reductions of auxiliary systems associated with DLPs. This allows us to construct new MTs for (non-evolutionary) 4-point and 6-point discrete equations from [D. Levi, R.I. Yamilov, J. Phys. A 2009], [S. Konstantinou-Rizos, A.V. Mikhailov, P. Xenitidis, J. Math. Phys. 2015].
