Cauchy-horizon flux coefficients in the reduced Polyakov model
We study Cauchy-horizon flux amplification in the stationary reduced Polyakov model for spherically symmetric charged black holes. The corresponding four-dimensional coefficient depends on global scattering and on the quantum state, while the reduced model gives an exactly calculable anomaly-induced radial contribution. For a nonextremal inner horizon on a stationary background, a finite late-time Eddington--Finkelstein flux is amplified by the affine blueshift into a leading $V_-^{-2}$ divergence. In the Polyakov model the coefficient is $F_-^{(\infty)}=t_v-Nκ_-^2/(48π)$, so the leading term vanishes only when $t_v=Nκ_-^2/(48π)$. This inner-horizon condition is distinct from the corresponding outer-horizon condition on $t_u$, while standard Unruh-type and outer-horizon thermal choices generically lie away from it. Other quantum contributions and classical tails enter through the total late-time flux. Cancellation of the $V_-^{-2}$ term requires the total constant coefficient $F_0$ to vanish, while asymptotically flat power-law tails produce logarithmically weakened divergences and exponentially decaying de~Sitter tails produce a different power of $V_-$. These results identify the conditions controlling the leading Cauchy-horizon divergence and its cancellation.
