Opt-Verifier: Unleashing the Power of LLMs for Optimization Modeling via Dual-Side Verification

Building mathematical optimization models is critical in operations research (OR), while it requires substantial human expertise. Recent advancements have utilized large language models (LLMs) to automate this modeling process. However, existing works often struggle to verify the correctness of the generated optimization models, without checking the rationality of the constraints and variables or the validity of solutions to the generated models. This hampers the subsequent verification and correction steps, and thus it severely hurts the modeling accuracy. To address this challenge, we propose a novel LLM-based framework with Dual-side Verification (Opt-Verifier) from both structure and solution perspectives, thereby improving the modeling accuracy. The structure-side verification ensures that the modeling structure of the generated optimization models aligns with the original problem description, accurately capturing the problem's constraints and requirements. Meanwhile, the solution-side verification interprets and evaluates the solutions' validity, confirming that the optimization models are logically and mathematically sound. Experiments on popular benchmarks demonstrate that our approach achieves over 20\% improvement in accuracy.

Tensor Train Decomposition Based Noise Reduction and Enhanced Parameter Estimation for FMCW MIMO Radar Systems

Frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar is widely used in autonomous driving and industrial inspection due to its high-resolution target location and velocity estimation capability. However, the plethora of connected devices in automotive applications introduces electromagnetic interference and brings challenges to location-aware services, primarily due to the issue of low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) caused by mixed noise contamination. Conventional matrix-based signal processing methods exhibit performance deterioration when handling higher-order signals under low SNR conditions. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a tensor decomposition-based framework that jointly performs noise reduction and parameter estimation for four-dimensional signals in FMCW multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems. Specifically, the framework exploits the inherent low-rank structure and multidimensional correlations of the received signals through tensor train decomposition to effectively separate noise subspace. A data smoothing processor then reconstructs an augmented signal tensor to resolve rank deficiency caused by coherent signals. Finally, an enhanced rotational subspace algorithm is employed to jointly decouple the distance, velocity, and angle parameters by exploiting the structural fitting to the restored signal. Both simulation and field experiments under real-world noise demonstrate that our proposed framework achieves significant noise reduction while improving target SNR and parameter estimation accuracy. These advancements make the proposed framework a robust solution for high-precision MIMO FMCW radar applications in dynamic, noise-polluted environments.

OMD-GraphRAG: Enhancing GraphRAG with Ontology-Guided Extraction, Multi-Dimensional Clustering and Dual-Channel Fusion

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems face significant challenges in complex reasoning, multi-hop queries, and domain-specific QA. While existing GraphRAG frameworks have made progress in structural knowledge organization, they still have limitations in knowledge extraction precision, community report integrity, and retrieval performance. This paper proposes OMD-GraphRAG, an enhanced framework built upon open-source GraphRAG. The framework introduces three core innovations: (1) Ontology-Guided Knowledge Extraction that uses predefined Schema to guide LLMs in accurately identifying domain-specific entities and relations; (2) Multi-Dimensional Community Clustering Strategy that improves community completeness through alignment completion, attribute-based clustering, and multi-hop relationship clustering; (3) Dual-Channel Graph Retrieval Fusion that balances QA accuracy and performance through hybrid graph and community retrieval. Evaluation results on MultiHop-RAG benchmark show that OMD-GraphRAG outperforms mainstream open source solutions (e.g., LightRAG) in comprehensive F1 scores, particularly in inference and temporal queries.

HiFAST: An HI data calibration and imaging pipeline for the FAST IV: The stray-radiation correction

Stray radiation is a considerable challenge for radio telescopes, requiring careful assessment due to its effects. This is crucial when the strong background flux from side lobes significantly affects the total flux, especially for extended sources. In this study, we introduced the beam pattern of the L-band receiver on the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST), covering various frequencies based on recent observations. We discovered that the main beam efficiency of all beams exceeds 90\% throughout the L band frequencies, with efficiency decreasing slowly as frequency increases. Subsequently, we developed a module to mitigate stray radiation effects, incorporating it into FAST's standard \HI data reduction process, referred to as \texttt{HiFAST}. Our analysis shows that side lobe flux's influence, particularly for extended sources with significant surface density gradients, necessitates detailed evaluation. Corrections for the extended M33 galaxy can reach up to 20\%. Moreover, the pattern data presented here is vital for studying HI intensity maps at high redshift. The module, along with HiFAST and beam pattern data across 15 frequency bins, can be accessed at \textrm{https://hifast.readthedocs.io}. The datasets of beam pattern presented in this paper, are openly available at \textrm{https://doi.org/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00266} (https://www.scidb.cn/s/bqQRNv).

The FAST Hundred-Deg$^2$ HI Deep (HD$^2$) Survey: Early Results from the Pilot Survey

The Hundred-deg$^2$ HI Deep (HD$^2$) survey carried out with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) is planned to map a contiguous region within the DESI DR1 footprint, achieving an effective integration time of 20 minutes for each pointing and a uniform detection sensitivity of 0.28 mJy beam$^{-1}$ at 4.8 km s$^{-1}$ resolution. We present early results from the pilot HD$^2$ survey: a 10 deg$^2$ field overlapping with HSC-SSP and the DESI EDR SV3, observed with an integration time of 7.3 minutes per beam and the rms of 0.45 mJy beam$^{-1}$ at 4.8 km s$^{-1}$ resolution. We identify 339 HI sources at $z<0.09$, corresponding to $\sim$34 detections per deg$^2$, nearly six times higher than the detection rate of the wide-field surveys. Optical counterparts are primarily identified using DESI redshifts, yielding a matching rate and correctness exceeding 90% for galaxies with $r<19.5$ mag, a substantial improvement over SDSS. Under the constraint of $r < 17.8$ mag and $0.01 < z < 0.05$, nearly 50% of galaxies in the DESI BGS samples have HI detections in this pilot survey. The optical properties of these HI-detected galaxies span nearly the entire parameter range of the DESI sample. The gas fraction scaling relations versus stellar mass, stellar mass surface density, NUV-r, and specific star formation rate are consistent with previous surveys, e.g., ALFALFA, DINGO, and xGASS. These results justify the feasibility of the full HD$^2$ survey, which will build a high-completeness HI census over a contiguous area to probe the cold gas scaling relations of galaxies over different scales.

Gossamer Superconductivity in Moiré WSe$_2$ Bilayer

Moiré transition metal dichalcogenides have served as a versatile platform for simulating Hubbard physics. Recent experiments have identified robust superconductivity in moiré bilayer WSe$_2$ for certain twist angles. Here, we propose the gossamer nature of the superconductivity recently discovered at half-filling and zero displacement field in twisted WSe$_2$. By mapping the moiré continuum system to an effective extended single-orbital Hubbard model on the triangular lattice, we employ renormalized mean-field theory to investigate the strong-coupling phase diagram. We find that a moderate Coulomb repulsion partially suppresses charge fluctuations while preserving a finite density of mobile doublons and holes. In this regime, the interplay between extended kinetic hoppings and antiferromagnetic superexchange stabilizes a chiral $d+id$ superconducting phase. Our results naturally account for the twist-angle-dependent evolution from a Mott insulator to a superconductor and eventually to a correlated metal. Furthermore, the model demonstrates that this half-filled pairing state vanishes rapidly upon density doping, consistent with experimental observations.

Overcoming noise-agility trade-off in integrated lasers for precision sensing

Lasers that combine narrow linewidths with rapid tunability are critical for applications such as coherent optical ranging, distributed fiber-optic sensing, and precision spectroscopy. Despite significant progress in integrated laser technologies, the concurrent realization of low phase noise and frequency agility on a single integrated platform remains challenging owing to a fundamental architectural trade-off: conventional integrated laser designs typically suppress phase noise via high-$Q$ resonators, yet the extended photon lifetimes inherent to such resonators intrinsically constrain tuning speed. Here, we address this noise-agility trade-off by introducing a laser architecture that achieves ultralow phase noise and ultrafast tunability simultaneously. Rather than relying on ultrahigh-$Q$ resonators for self-injection locking, our design employs strong synthetic feedback within a Pockels-tunable, resonator-enhanced distributed Bragg reflector to suppress phase noise. As a proof of concept, we demonstrate a hybrid integrated laser with a short-term linewidth of 29 Hz, realized using a lithium niobate external cavity with a loaded $Q$ of only 0.62 million. The adoption of a moderate resonator $Q$ relaxes the photon-lifetime constraint on tuning speed, enabling sub-exahertz-per-second tuning rates and a chirp nonlinearity as low as 0.14%. Leveraging this laser, we implement a frequency-modulated continuous-wave LiDAR system that achieves a relative ranging precision of $1.7 \times 10^{-4}$ at a measurement rate of $1\,\text{MSa s}^{-1}$, without requiring complex chirp linearization techniques. We further demonstrate fiber-optic acoustic sensing capable of detecting sub-$με$ dynamic strain, underscoring the platform's versatility for high-speed precision optical measurements. Our work provides a route toward cost-effective yet high-performance sensing and metrology systems.

OmniRefine: Alignment-Aware Cooperative Compression for Efficient Omnimodal Large Language Models

Omnimodal large language models (Omni-LLMs) show strong capability in audio-video understanding, but their practical deployment remains limited by high inference cost of long video streams and dense audio sequences. Despite recent progress, existing compression methods for Omni-LLMs typically rely on fixed or native compression units, which can disrupt cross-modal correspondence and the complementary information required for audio-video reasoning, making it difficult to improve inference efficiency while stably preserving performance. To address this, we propose OmniRefine, a training-free two-stage framework for efficient audio-visual token compression in Omni-LLMs. First, Correspondence-Preserving Chunk Refinement refines native chunk boundaries into cross-modally aligned compression units through frame-audio similarity and dynamic programming. Second, Modality-Aware Cooperative Compression jointly compresses video and audio tokens within each refined unit to reduce redundancy while preserving critical evidence. Extensive experiments show that OmniRefine achieves a better efficiency-performance trade-off than strong baselines and maintains stable performance under lower compression ratios. On WorldSense, it still reaches 46.7% accuracy at a 44% token retention ratio, nearly matching the full-token baseline. The code and interface will be released to facilitate further research.

SI-Diff: A Framework for Learning Search and High-Precision Insertion with a Force-Domain Diffusion Policy

Contact-rich assembly is fundamental in robotics but poses significant challenges due to uncertainties in relative poses, such as misalignments and small clearances in peg-in-hole tasks. Existing approaches typically address search and high-precision insertion separately, because these tasks involve distinct action patterns. However, supporting both tasks within a single model, without switching models or weights, is desirable for intelligent assembly systems. In this work, we propose SI-Diff, a framework that learns both search and high-precision insertion through a force-domain diffusion policy. To this end, we introduce a new mode-conditioning mechanism that enables the policy to capture distinct action behaviors under a single framework. Moreover, we develop a new search teacher policy that can generate diverse trajectories. By training on successful and efficient demonstrations provided by the teacher policy, the model learns the mapping from tactile and end-effector velocity observations to effective action behaviors. We conduct thorough experiments to show that SI-Diff extends the tolerance to x-y misalignments from 2 mm to 5 mm compared to the state-of-the-art baseline, TacDiffusion, while also demonstrating strong zero-shot transferability to unseen shapes.

Xiaomi OneVL: One-Step Latent Reasoning and Planning with Vision-Language Explanation

Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning has become a powerful driver of trajectory prediction in VLA-based autonomous driving, yet its autoregressive nature imposes a latency cost that is prohibitive for real-time deployment. Latent CoT methods attempt to close this gap by compressing reasoning into continuous hidden states, but consistently fall short of their explicit counterparts. We suggest that this is due to purely linguistic latent representations compressing a symbolic abstraction of the world, rather than the causal dynamics that actually govern driving. Thus, we present OneVL (One-step latent reasoning and planning with Vision-Language explanations), a unified VLA and World Model framework that routes reasoning through compact latent tokens supervised by dual auxiliary decoders. Alongside a language decoder that reconstructs text CoT, we introduce a visual world model decoder that predicts future-frame tokens, forcing the latent space to internalize the causal dynamics of road geometry, agent motion, and environmental change. A three-stage training pipeline progressively aligns these latents with trajectory, language, and visual objectives, ensuring stable joint optimization. In inference, the auxiliary decoders are discarded, and all latent tokens are prefilled in a single parallel pass, matching the speed of answer-only prediction. Across four benchmarks, OneVL becomes the first latent CoT method to surpass explicit CoT, delivering superior accuracy at answer-only latency. These results show that with world model supervision, latent CoT produces more generalizable representations than verbose token-by-token reasoning. Code has been open-sourced to the community. SEAD: Self-Evolving Agent for Multi-Turn Service Dialogue

Large Language Models have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in open-domain dialogues. However, current methods exhibit suboptimal performance in service dialogues, as they rely on noisy, low-quality human conversation data. This limitation arises from data scarcity and the difficulty of simulating authentic, goal-oriented user behaviors. To address these issues, we propose SEAD (Self-Evolving Agent for Service Dialogue), a framework that enables agents to learn effective strategies without large-scale human annotations. SEAD decouples user modeling into two components: a Profile Controller that generates diverse user states to manage training curriculum, and a User Role-play Model that focuses on realistic role-playing. This design ensures the environment provides adaptive training scenarios rather than acting as an unfair adversary. Experiments demonstrate that SEAD significantly outperforms Open-source Foundation Models and Closed-source Commercial Models, improving task completion rate by 17.6% and dialogue efficiency by 11.1%. 4HWC J2029$+$3641: a Pulsar Wind Nebula Powered by PSR J2030$+$3641?

4HWC J2029+3641 is a newly discovered point source detected by HAWC, with no previously identified TeV counterpart. The gamma-ray pulsar PSR J2030+3641, located 0.1 degree from the source center, is a middle-aged pulsar showing spin parameters similar to Geminga. Using Fermni-LAT data spanning from August 2008 to February 2026, we performed binned maximum likelihood spectral analysis in the energy range from 300 MeV to 1 PeV. A phase-resolved analysis was conducted to separate the off-peak and on-peak emissions. No significant spatial extension was found for the off-peak component. The off-peak spectrum exhibits strong curvature and is best described by an exponentially cutoff power-law model. The observed radio-to-gamma phase lag and narrow peak separation favor an outer-gap model for the gamma-ray emission.

Hyperspectral Image Classification via Efficient Global Spectral Supertoken Clustering

Hyperspectral image classification demands spatially coherent predictions and precise boundary delineation. Yet prevailing superpixel-based methods face an inherent contradiction: clustering aggregates similar pixels into regions, but the subsequent classifier operates pixel-wise, undermining regional consistency. Consequently, existing approaches do not guarantee region-level, boundary-aligned classification. To address this limitation, we propose the Dual-stage Spectrum-Constrained Clustering-based Classifier (DSCC), an end-to-end framework that explicitly decouples clustering from classification by first grouping spectral similar and spatially proximate pixels into spectral supertokens and then performing token-level prediction. At its core, DSCC computes an image-level multi-criteria feature distance between pixels and centers, followed by a locality-aware assignment regularization, enabling the generation of boundary-preserving spectral supertokens. A density-isolation based center selection further yields representative, well-separated centers, reducing redundancy and improving robustness to scale variation. To accommodate mixed land-cover compositions within each token, we introduce a soft-label scheme that encodes class proportions and improves robustness for mixed-class tokens. DSCC attains a CF1 of 0.728 at 197.75 FPS on the WHU-OHS dataset, offering a superior accuracy-efficiency trade-off compared with state-of-the-art methods. Extensive experiments further validate the effectiveness and generality of the proposed dual-stage paradigm for hyperspectral image classification. Diffuse Gamma-ray Emission Around 4FGL J1626.0-4917

Extended gamma-ray sources provide significant information about particle propagation. 4FGL J1626.0-4917 was labeled as an unassociated source in 4FGL catalog without known counterparts at other wavelengths. We report an analysis on 4FGL J1626.0-4917 with 17 years Fermi Large Area Telescope data and archival Chandra X-ray Observatory data. We find extended GeV emission around this source, which can be modelled by a Gaussian disk of 0.28 degree radius with a significance of the extension of 7.2 sigma. The gamma-ray spectrum of 4FGL J1626.0-4917 has a photon index of 2.73. The gas content, including molecular, neutral and ionized gas, was investigated and the potential hadronic origin is discussed. The diffuse GeV gamma-ray emission may likely originate from the interaction between accelerated protons in 4FGL J1626.0-4917 and the target proton in surrounding gas, although the leptonic process cannot be ruled out. The X-ray spectral analysis was performed, which reveal a point source inside 4FGL J1626.0-4917. We investigate potential counterparts, including the stellar cluster NGC 6134 and the supernova remnant G335.2+0.1. Our results highlight the complexity of unidentified extended gamma-ray sources and the need for further observations.

Causally Sufficient and Necessary Feature Expansion for Class-Incremental Learning

Current expansion-based methods for Class Incremental Learning (CIL) effectively mitigate catastrophic forgetting by freezing old features. However, such task-specific features learned from the new task may collide with the old features. From a causal perspective, spurious feature correlations are the main cause of this collision, manifesting in two scopes: (i) guided by empirical risk minimization (ERM), intra-task spurious correlations cause task-specific features to rely on shortcut features. These non-robust features are vulnerable to interference, inevitably drifting into the feature space of other tasks; (ii) inter-task spurious correlations induce semantic confusion between visually similar classes across tasks. To address this, we propose a Probability of Necessity and Sufficiency (PNS)-based regularization method to guide feature expansion in CIL. Specifically, we first extend the definition of PNS to expansion-based CIL, termed CPNS, which quantifies both the causal completeness of intra-task representations and the separability of inter-task representations. We then introduce a dual-scope counterfactual generator based on twin networks to ensure the measurement of CPNS, which simultaneously generates: (i) intra-task counterfactual features to minimize intra-task PNS risk and ensure causal completeness of task-specific features, and (ii) inter-task interfering features to minimize inter-task PNS risk, ensuring the separability of inter-task representations. Theoretical analyses confirm its reliability. The regularization is a plug-and-play method for expansion-based CIL to mitigate feature collision. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Accelerating Eigenvalue Dataset Generation via Chebyshev Subspace Filter

Eigenvalue problems are among the most important topics in many scientific disciplines. With the recent surge and development of machine learning, neural eigenvalue methods have attracted significant attention as a forward pass of inference requires only a tiny fraction of the computation time compared to traditional solvers. However, a key limitation is the requirement for large amounts of labeled data in training, including operators and their eigenvalues. To tackle this limitation, we propose a novel method, named Sorting Chebyshev Subspace Filter (SCSF), which significantly accelerates eigenvalue data generation by leveraging similarities between operators -- a factor overlooked by existing methods. Specifically, SCSF employs truncated fast Fourier transform sorting to group operators with similar eigenvalue distributions and constructs a Chebyshev subspace filter that leverages eigenpairs from previously solved problems to assist in solving subsequent ones, reducing redundant computations. To the best of our knowledge, SCSF is the first method to accelerate eigenvalue data generation. Experimental results show that SCSF achieves up to a 3.5 times speedup compared to various numerical solvers.

Molecular-optomechanical phonon laser

Molecular cavity optomechanics (COM) leverages ultrastrong interactions between confined optical fields and high-frequency molecular vibration, providing a unique platform for exploring high-frequency phonon dynamics. In this work, we theoretically propose the use of a hybrid molecular COM system for realizing an ultra-low-threshold mid-infrared (MIR) phonon laser. Despite an optical quality factor of only $Q_a=100$, an ultra-low threshold power of $\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{th}} = 17.5~\mathrm{nW}$ is achieved, enabled by giant single-photon optomechanical coupling and molecular collective effect. Moreover, the mechanical gain and threshold power can be further tuned by adjusting the distance between mirrors of the Fabry-Pérot cavity. Our findings establish the first direct connection between molecular COM and MIR phonon lasers, with potential applications in MIR acoustics and biomedical imaging.

TTS-PRISM: A Perceptual Reasoning and Interpretable Speech Model for Fine-Grained Diagnosis

While generative text-to-speech (TTS) models approach human-level quality, monolithic metrics fail to diagnose fine-grained acoustic artifacts or explain perceptual collapse. To address this, we propose TTS-PRISM, a multi-dimensional diagnostic framework for Mandarin. First, we establish a 12-dimensional schema spanning stability to advanced expressiveness. Second, we design a targeted synthesis pipeline with adversarial perturbations and expert anchors to build a high-quality diagnostic dataset. Third, schema-driven instruction tuning embeds explicit scoring criteria and reasoning into an efficient end-to-end model. Experiments on a 1,600-sample Gold Test Set show TTS-PRISM outperforms generalist models in human alignment. Profiling six TTS paradigms establishes intuitive diagnostic flags that reveal fine-grained capability differences.
