PRISM-CTG: A Foundation Model for Cardiotocography Analysis with Multi-View SSL

Supervised deep learning models for automated CTG analysis are typically constrained by narrowly curated labelled datasets and limited patient cohorts, leaving substantial volumes of physiologically informative clinical recordings untapped. To address this limitation, we propose Physiology-aware Representation Learning via Integrated Self-supervision and Metadata for CTG (PRISM-CTG), a clinically grounded self-supervised foundation model (FM) for CTG that leverages large-scale unlabelled recordings to learn transferable domain-level representations. PRISM-CTG is pretrained using a multi-view self-supervised framework that jointly optimises 3 complementary pretext objectives: random-projected guided masked signal reconstruction, clinical variable prediction, and feature classification. Each objective is associated with a dedicated task-specific token, enabling specialised representation learning, while controlled cross-attention facilitates information exchange across clinical context. By reframing patient metadata and domain knowledge, which are often underutilised in conventional training as prediction targets, Prism-CTG transforms readily available clinical information into additional supervisory targets that guide clinically meaningful representation learning. Extensive experiments across 7 downstream CTG tasks in both antepartum and intrapartum domains demonstrated that PRISM-CTG consistently outperforms in-domain and SSL baselines. Notably, PRISM-CTG demonstrated strong generalisation under external validation on 2 datasets, while achieving comparable performance to studies trained on substantially larger, privately labelled datasets. To our knowledge, this is the first study to introduce large-scale FM for CTG that learns domain-level representations.

Ultrafast Non-Volatile Weyl LuminoMem for Mid-Infrared In-Memory Computing

Integrated optoelectronic systems strive to combine the logic/memory density of electronics with the bandwidth of photonics, but monolithic realization is impeded by the inefficient electronic-to-photonic interface. Current architectures rely on separate readout circuitry and modulators, creating bottlenecks in energy and latency, while existing direct transduction methods often compromise on switching speed or non-volatility. Here, we report an ultrafast, non-volatile optoelectronic memory, named LuminoMem, that integrates electrical storage and mid-infrared light emission in a single device. The device utilizes a floating-gate architecture, in which the Weyl semiconductor tellurium serves simultaneously as a charge-trapping storage layer and an emissive medium. This design enables nanosecond-scale electrical programming of non-volatile photoluminescence at 3.4 um, allowing direct optical access to stored states without external modulation. We demonstrate 4-bit (16-level) optical storage capacity and validate the device's performance through neural network simulations that achieve high accuracy on the Fashion-MNIST dataset. By effectively bridging the gap between electronic storage and mid-infrared photonics, the demonstrated mid-infrared LuminoMem provides a hardware foundation for promoting current computation efficiency and potential intelligent platforms that co-integrate computing, memory, and sensing capabilities.

Strong enhancement of g-factor in PbTe-Pb hybrid nanowires

We report large Lande g-factors observed in PbTe-Pb hybrid nanowires. The g-factor can reach 83, significantly larger than those in bare PbTe nanowires (typically below 20). We attribute this enhancement to orbital effects in the superconducting film, particularly when the magnetic field is nearly perpendicular to the Pb film. This enhancement is beneficial for the search for topological superconductivity by reducing the critical magnetic field required for the phase transition.

Gate-Tunable Mid-Infrared Electroluminescence from Te/MoS2 p-n Heterojunctions

Mid-infrared (MIR) emitters are critical components in advanced photonic systems, driving progress in fields such as chemical sensing, environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics, thermal imaging and free-space communications. Conventional MIR emitters based on III-V heterostructures rely on complex epitaxial growth on rigid lattice-matched substrates and suffer from limited integration compatibility with CMOS or flexible platforms. The recent development of novel MIR emitters based on two-dimensional (2D) materials such as black phosphorus (BP) is more suitable for on-chip applications but faces challenges related to stability and emission efficiency. Based on the recently discovered highly efficient photoluminescence of Te, we demonstrate a gate-tunable midinfrared light-emitting diode based on a van der Waals heterojunction formed by multilayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) MoS2 and tellurium (Te). The device emits polarized electroluminescence (EL) centered at 3.5 $μ$m under forward bias at 25 K, and the EL persists up to 80 K with reduced intensity. Gate control of the MoS2 Fermi level modulates the band alignment and injection efficiency, enabling dynamic tuning of the EL intensity. The emission remains spectrally stable under varying bias and gating, indicating robust band-edge recombination. These results establish the Te/TMD heterostructure as a promising platform for integrated polarized mid-infrared optoelectronics.

A Comprehensive Evaluation of Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning on Code Smell Detection

Automated code smell detection faces persistent challenges due to the subjectivity of heuristic rules and the limited performance of traditional ML/DL models. While Large Language Models (LLMs) offer a promising alternative, their adoption is impeded by high fine-tuning costs and a lack of "LM-ready" benchmarks. To bridge these gaps, we present a study with two synergistic contributions. First, we constructed a high-quality benchmark for Complex Conditional, Complex Method, Feature Envy, and Data Class, validated through a rigorous two-stage manual review. Second, leveraging this benchmark, we systematically evaluated four Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) methods across nine LMs of varying parameter sizes. Their performance is compared against a comprehensive suite of baselines, including heuristics-based detectors, Deep Learning (DL)-based approaches, and state-of-the-art general-purpose LLMs under multiple In-Context Learning (ICL) settings. Our results demonstrate that PEFT methods achieve effectiveness comparable to or surpassing full fine-tuning while substantially reducing peak GPU memory usage for code smell detection. Furthermore, PEFT-tuned LMs consistently outperform all baselines, yielding MCC improvements ranging from 0.33% to 13.69%, with particularly notable gains for specific smell categories. These findings highlight PEFT techniques as effective and scalable solutions for advancing code smell detection.

Belief-Driven Multi-Agent Collaboration via Approximate Perfect Bayesian Equilibrium for Social Simulation

High-fidelity social simulation is pivotal for addressing complex Web societal challenges, yet it demands agents capable of authentically replicating the dynamic spectrum of human interaction. Current LLM-based multi-agent frameworks, however, predominantly adhere to static interaction topologies, failing to capture the fluid oscillation between cooperative knowledge synthesis and competitive critical reasoning seen in real-world scenarios. This rigidity often leads to unrealistic ``groupthink'' or unproductive deadlocks, undermining the credibility of simulations for decision support. To bridge this gap, we propose \textit{BEACOF}, a \textit{belief-driven adaptive collaboration framework} inspired by Perfect Bayesian Equilibrium (PBE). By modeling social interaction as a dynamic game of incomplete information, BEACOF rigorously addresses the circular dependency between collaboration type selection and capability estimation. Agents iteratively refine probabilistic beliefs about peer capabilities and autonomously modulate their collaboration strategy, thereby ensuring sequentially rational decisions under uncertainty. Validated across adversarial (judicial), open-ended (social) and mixed (medical) scenarios, BEACOF prevents coordination failures and fosters robust convergence toward high-quality solutions, demonstrating superior potential for reliable social simulation. Source codes and datasets are publicly released at: https://github.com/WUT-IDEA/BEACOF.

Hyena Operator for Fast Sequential Recommendation

Sequential recommendation models, particularly those based on attention, achieve strong accuracy but incur quadratic complexity, making long user histories prohibitively expensive. Sub-quadratic operators such as Hyena provide efficient alternatives in language modeling, but their potential in recommendation remains underexplored. We argue that Hyena faces challenges in recommendation due to limited representation capacity on sparse, long user sequences. To address these challenges, we propose HyenaRec, a novel sequential recommender that integrates polynomial-based kernel parameterization with gated convolutions. Specifically, we design convolutional kernels using Legendre orthogonal polynomials, which provides a smooth and compact basis for modeling long-term temporal dependencies. A complementary gating mechanism captures fine-grained short-term behavioral bursts, yielding a hybrid architecture that balances global temporal evolution with localized user interests under sparse feedback. This construction enhances expressiveness while scaling linearly with sequence length. Extensive experiments on multiple real-world datasets demonstrate that HyenaRec consistently outperforms Attention-, Recurrent-, and other baselines in ranking accuracy. Moreover, it trains significantly faster (up to 6x speedup), with particularly pronounced advantages on long-sequence scenarios where efficiency is maintained without sacrificing accuracy. These results highlight polynomial-based kernel parameterization as a principled and scalable alternative to attention for sequential recommendation.

Causal World Modeling for Robot Control

This work highlights that video world modeling, alongside vision-language pre-training, establishes a fresh and independent foundation for robot learning. Intuitively, video world models provide the ability to imagine the near future by understanding the causality between actions and visual dynamics. Inspired by this, we introduce LingBot-VA, an autoregressive diffusion framework that learns frame prediction and policy execution simultaneously. Our model features three carefully crafted designs: (1) a shared latent space, integrating vision and action tokens, driven by a Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) architecture, (2) a closed-loop rollout mechanism, allowing for ongoing acquisition of environmental feedback with ground-truth observations, (3) an asynchronous inference pipeline, parallelizing action prediction and motor execution to support efficient control. We evaluate our model on both simulation benchmarks and real-world scenarios, where it shows significant promise in long-horizon manipulation, data efficiency in post-training, and strong generalizability to novel configurations. The code and model are made publicly available to facilitate the community.

Deep Learning-Based Airway Segmentation in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients with Interstitial Lung Disease (SLE-ILD): A Comparative High-Resolution CT Analysis

To characterize lobar and segmental airway volume differences between systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and those without ILD (non-ILD) using a deep learning-based approach on non-contrast chest high-resolution CT (HRCT). Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 106 SLE patients (27 SLE-ILD, 79 SLE-non-ILD) who underwent HRCT. A customized deep learning framework based on the U-Net architecture was developed to automatically segment airway structures at the lobar and segmental levels via HRCT. Volumetric measurements of lung lobes and segments derived from the segmentations were statistically compared between the two groups using two-sample t-tests (significance threshold: p < 0.05). Results: At lobar level, significant airway volume enlargement in SLE-ILD patients was observed in the right upper lobe (p=0.009) and left upper lobe (p=0.039) compared to SLE-non-ILD. At the segmental level, significant differences were found in segments including R1 (p=0.016), R3 (p<0.001), and L3 (p=0.038), with the most marked changes in the upper lung zones, while lower zones showed non-significant trends. Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that an automated deep learning-based approach can effectively quantify airway volumes on HRCT scans and reveal significant, region-specific airway dilation in patients with SLE-ILD compared to those without ILD. The pattern of involvement, predominantly affecting the upper lobes and specific segments, highlights a distinct topographic phenotype of SLE-ILD and implicates airway structural alterations as a potential biomarker for disease presence. This AI-powered quantitative imaging biomarker holds promise for enhancing the early detection and monitoring of ILD in the SLE population, ultimately contributing to more personalized patient management.

FlowComposer: Composable Flows for Compositional Zero-Shot Learning

Compositional zero-shot learning (CZSL) aims to recognize unseen attribute-object compositions by recombining primitives learned from seen pairs. Recent CZSL methods built on vision-language models (VLMs) typically adopt parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT). They apply visual disentanglers for decomposition and manipulate token-level prompts or prefixes to encode compositions. However, such PEFT-based designs suffer from two fundamental limitations: (1) Implicit Composition Construction, where composition is realized only via token concatenation or branch-wise prompt tuning rather than an explicit operation in the embedding space; (2) Remained Feature Entanglement, where imperfect disentanglement leaves attribute, object, and composition features mutually contaminated. Together, these issues limit the generalization ability of current CZSL models. In this paper, we are the first to systematically study flow matching for CZSL and introduce FlowComposer, a model-agnostic framework that learns two primitive flows to transport visual features toward attribute and object text embeddings, and a learnable Composer that explicitly fuses their velocity fields into a composition flow. To exploit the inevitable residual entanglement, we further devise a leakage-guided augmentation scheme that reuses leaked features as auxiliary signals. We thoroughly evaluate FlowComposer on three public CZSL benchmarks by integrating it as a plug-and-play component into various baselines, consistently achieving significant improvements.

Intrinsic Tolerance in C-Arm Imaging: How Extrinsic Re-optimization Preserves 3D Reconstruction Accuracy

\textbf{Purpose:} C-arm fluoroscopy's 3D reconstruction relies on accurate intrinsic calibration, which is often challenging in clinical practice. This study ensures high-precision reconstruction accuracy by re-optimizing the extrinsic parameters to compensate for intrinsic calibration errors. \noindent\textbf{Methods:} We conducted both simulation and real-world experiments using five commercial C-arm systems. Intrinsic parameters were perturbed in controlled increments. Focal length was increased by 100 to 700 pixels ($\approx$20 mm to 140 mm) and principal point by 20 to 200 pixels. For each perturbation, we (1) reconstructed 3D points from known phantom geometries, (2) re-estimated extrinsic poses using standard optimization, and (3) measured reconstruction and reprojection errors relative to ground truth. \noindent\textbf{Results:} Even with focal length errors up to 500 pixels ($\approx$100 mm, assuming a nominal focal length of $\sim$1000 mm), mean 3D reconstruction error remained under 0.2 mm. Larger focal length deviations (700 pixels) elevated error to only $\approx$0.3 mm. Principal point shifts up to 200 pixels introduced negligible reconstruction error once extrinsic parameters were re-optimized, with reprojection error increases below 0.5 pixels. \noindent\textbf{Conclusion:} Moderate errors in intrinsic calibration can be effectively mitigated by extrinsic re-optimization, preserving submillimeter 3D reconstruction accuracy. This intrinsic tolerance suggests a practical pathway to relax calibration precision requirements, thereby simplifying C-arm system setup and reducing clinical workflow burden without compromising performance.

AlphaFlowTSE: One-Step Generative Target Speaker Extraction via Conditional AlphaFlow

In target speaker extraction (TSE), we aim to recover target speech from a multi-talker mixture using a short enrollment utterance as reference. Recent studies on diffusion and flow-matching generators have improved target-speech fidelity. However, multi-step sampling increases latency, and one-step solutions often rely on a mixture-dependent time coordinate that can be unreliable for real-world conversations. We present AlphaFlowTSE, a one-step conditional generative model trained with a Jacobian-vector product (JVP)-free AlphaFlow objective. AlphaFlowTSE learns mean-velocity transport along a mixture-to-target trajectory starting from the observed mixture, eliminating auxiliary mixing-ratio prediction, and stabilizes training by combining flow matching with an interval-consistency teacher-student target. Experiments on Libri2Mix and REAL-T confirm that AlphaFlowTSE improves target-speaker similarity and real-mixture generalization for downstream automatic speech recognition (ASR).

StyleVLA: Driving Style-Aware Vision Language Action Model for Autonomous Driving

Vision Language Models (VLMs) bridge visual perception and linguistic reasoning. In Autonomous Driving (AD), this synergy has enabled Vision Language Action (VLA) models, which translate high-level multimodal understanding into driving behaviors, typically represented as future trajectories. However, existing VLA models mainly generate generic collision-free trajectories. Beyond collision avoidance, adapting to diverse driving styles (e.g., sporty, comfortable) is essential for personalized driving. Moreover, many methods treat trajectory generation as naive token prediction, which can produce kinematically infeasible actions. To address these limitations, we present StyleVLA, a physics-informed VLA framework for generating diverse and physically plausible driving behaviors. We introduce a hybrid loss that combines a kinematic consistency constraint with a continuous regression head to improve trajectory feasibility. To train StyleVLA, built on Qwen3-VL-4B, we construct a large-scale instruction dataset with over 1.2k scenarios, 76k Bird's Eye View (BEV) samples, and 42k First Person View (FPV) samples, with ground-truth trajectories for five driving styles and natural-language instructions. Experiments show that our 4B-parameter StyleVLA significantly outperforms proprietary models (e.g., Gemini-3-Pro) and state-of-the-art VLA models. Using a composite driving score measuring success rate, physical feasibility, and style adherence, StyleVLA achieves 0.55 on BEV and 0.51 on FPV, versus 0.32 and 0.35 for Gemini-3-Pro. These results show that a specialized, physics-informed, lightweight model can surpass closed-source models on domain-specific tasks.

Pailitao-VL: Unified Embedding and Reranker for Real-Time Multi-Modal Industrial Search

In this work, we presented Pailitao-VL, a comprehensive multi-modal retrieval system engineered for high-precision, real-time industrial search. We here address three critical challenges in the current SOTA solution: insufficient retrieval granularity, vulnerability to environmental noise, and prohibitive efficiency-performance gap. Our primary contribution lies in two fundamental paradigm shifts. First, we transitioned the embedding paradigm from traditional contrastive learning to an absolute ID-recognition task. Through anchoring instances to a globally consistent latent space defined by billions of semantic prototypes, we successfully overcome the stochasticity and granularity bottlenecks inherent in existing embedding solutions. Second, we evolved the generative reranker from isolated pointwise evaluation to the compare-and-calibrate listwise policy. By synergizing chunk-based comparative reasoning with calibrated absolute relevance scoring, the system achieves nuanced discriminative resolution while circumventing the prohibitive latency typically associated with conventional reranking methods. Extensive offline benchmarks and online A/B tests on Alibaba e-commerce platform confirm that Pailitao-VL achieves state-of-the-art performance and delivers substantial business impact. This work demonstrates a robust and scalable path for deploying advanced MLLM-based retrieval architectures in demanding, large-scale production environments.

MeanFlowSE: one-step generative speech enhancement via conditional mean flow

Multistep inference is a bottleneck for real-time generative speech enhancement because flow- and diffusion-based systems learn an instantaneous velocity field and therefore rely on iterative ordinary differential equation (ODE) solvers. We introduce MeanFlowSE, a conditional generative model that learns the average velocity over finite intervals along a trajectory. Using a Jacobian-vector product (JVP) to instantiate the MeanFlow identity, we derive a local training objective that directly supervises finite-interval displacement while remaining consistent with the instantaneous-field constraint on the diagonal. At inference, MeanFlowSE performs single-step generation via a backward-in-time displacement, removing the need for multistep solvers; an optional few-step variant offers additional refinement. On VoiceBank-DEMAND, the single-step model achieves strong intelligibility, fidelity, and perceptual quality with substantially lower computational cost than multistep baselines. The method requires no knowledge distillation or external teachers, providing an efficient, high-fidelity framework for real-time generative speech enhancement. The proposed method is open-sourced at https://github.com/liduojia1/MeanFlowSE.

A Survey on Bundle Recommendation: Methods, Applications, and Challenges

In recent years, bundle recommendation systems have gained significant attention in both academia and industry due to their ability to enhance user experience and increase sales by recommending a set of items as a bundle rather than individual items. This survey provides a comprehensive review on bundle recommendation, beginning by a taxonomy for exploring product bundling. We classify it into two categories based on bundling strategy from various application domains, i.e., discriminative and generative bundle recommendation. Then we formulate the corresponding tasks of the two categories and systematically review their methods: 1) representation learning from bundle and item levels and interaction modeling for discriminative bundle recommendation; 2) representation learning from item level and bundle generation for generative bundle recommendation. Subsequently, we survey the resources of bundle recommendation including datasets and evaluation metrics, and conduct reproducibility experiments on mainstream models. Lastly, we discuss the main challenges and highlight the promising future directions in the field of bundle recommendation, aiming to serve as a useful resource for researchers and practitioners. Our code and datasets are publicly available at https://github.com/WUT-IDEA/bundle-recommendation-survey.

Path-Decoupled Hyperbolic Flow Matching for Few-Shot Adaptation

Recent advances in cross-modal few-shot adaptation treat visual-semantic alignment as a continuous feature transport problem via Flow Matching (FM). However, we argue that Euclidean-based FM overlooks fundamental limitations of flat geometry, where polynomial volume growth fails to accommodate diverse feature distributions, leading to severe path entanglement. To this end, we propose path-decoupled Hyperbolic Flow Matching (HFM), leveraging the Lorentz manifold's exponential expansion for trajectory decoupling. HFM structures the transport via two key designs: 1) Centripetal hyperbolic alignment: It constructs a centripetal hierarchy by anchoring textual roots, which pushes visual leaves to the boundary to initialize orderly flows. 2) Path-decoupled objective: It acts as a ``semantic guardrail'' rigidly confining trajectories within isolated class-specific geodesic corridors via step-wise supervision. Furthermore, we devise an adaptive diameter-based stopping to prevent over-transportation into the crowded origin based on the intrinsic semantic scale. Extensive ablations on 11 benchmarks have shown that HFM establishes a new state-of-the-art, consistently outperforming its Euclidean counterparts. Our codes and models will be released.

How Foundational Skills Influence VLM-based Embodied Agents:A Native Perspective

Recent advances in vision-language models (VLMs) have shown promise for human-level embodied intelligence. However, existing benchmarks for VLM-driven embodied agents often rely on high-level commands or discretized action spaces, which are non-native settings that differ markedly from real-world control. In addition, current benchmarks focus primarily on high-level tasks and lack joint evaluation and analysis at both low and high levels. To address these limitations, we present NativeEmbodied, a challenging benchmark for VLM-driven embodied agents that uses a unified, native low-level action space. Built on diverse simulated scenes, NativeEmbodied includes three representative high-level tasks in complex scenarios to evaluate overall performance. For more detailed analysis, we further decouple the skills required by complex tasks and construct four types of low-level tasks, each targeting a fundamental embodied skill. This joint evaluation across task and skill granularities enables fine-grained assessment of embodied agents. Experiments with state-of-the-art VLMs reveal clear deficiencies in several fundamental embodied skills, and further analysis shows that these bottlenecks significantly limit performance on high-level tasks. NativeEmbodied highlights key challenges for current VLM-driven embodied agents and provides insights to guide future research.
